Russell Simmons’ Def History Lesson Jam: Christians Bombed the WTC in 1993?
**Written by Doug Powers
Russell Simmons was on with Larry King last night arguing on behalf of the Ground Zero mosque. During the chat, Simmons said the following: “If you’re blaming Muslims for the 9/11, you need to change your mind — did we blame Christians for the first World Trade attack [in 1993]?”
The logic is sound — I’m satisfied.
It’s nice to know that Simmons is so forgiving of the Christians that bombed the World Trade Center in ’93. I had no idea that Ramzi Yousef was a Christian, either. Proof-positive that if you watch CNN long enough, you’ll learn something.
Larry King of course didn’t bother to follow up on what Simmons said, possibly because Larry’s as clueless as Russell:
Here’s a movie clip appropriate to the occasion:

I’m sure that it is so important to have the music “mogols” wax eloquent with their advice on this issue.
That is one shawt bus shawty.
Russell… step.away.from.the.crack pipe…
They went on to discuss how strongly Simmons feels about new regulations to help endangered feces.
The more important question is….why was Russell Simmons on TV answering questions from a geriatric marionette?
“Say da man said, da man said what he said, he said he did, you know what I mean man, say you know what the man said what he said. . .”
“Yes, and thanks Russ for your brilliant observations on the subject, but we now have to break to breaking news. . .President Obama has announced that he has reached a decision on what body of water he will swim in next. Details to follow”.
What is laughable is that these clowns actually make their insane statements while wearing their occupational clown costumes. For grown man to try to persuade non-rap fans while adorned in bling and wearing a baseball cap is pretty pathetic.
I think it was Seinfeld who explained why doctors have patients remove their pants while they wait. If anything happens, who are you going to believe? The guy not wearing pants or the guy wearing pants? No the guy wearing bling wearing a baseball cap, especially if it is worn askew to the side or backwards. NOT!
Sidney Deane: Oh man shut your anorexic malnutrition tapeworm-having overdose on Dick Gregory Bahamian diet-drinking ass up.
Sidney Deane: You can put a cat in an oven, but that don’t make it a biscuit.
When Barack Hussein Obama publicly confessed the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, he “took Shahada“.
Visit http://www.islamicity.com/ and you’ll see how conversions to Islam are scrolled as follows (“Br.” is for “Brother”, “Sr.” is for “Sister”)
The confessions of Obama’s own mouth reveal him to be a Muslim, not a Christian.
Rogue–you damn skippy
Never heard of the bastard……
wth is that picture at the top?? I’ve never seen an argyle-wearing dildo before.
Unexpectedly SHOCK POLL: 24% THINK OBAMA MUSLIM!
Only Larry King would listen to a musician about public policy. Who cares what Russell Simmons thinks about anything? Am I missing something here? Good grief, Larry, start retirement NOW.
Rhonda Deane: All I care about is getting out of the Vista View apartments, because there ain’t no “vista”, there ain’t no “view”, and there certainly ain’t no vista of no view.
Larry King married eight times to seven women, obviously has had his brains totally effed out!
Just a reminder to all these celeb supporters of the G/Z mosque: Municipal Christmas decorations start going up in November, and the separation of church-and-state crowd are sure to protest. May we expect to see your new-found zeal for religious expression to extend to Christians as well?
Never watch Larry King. Never have. I thought he died. This is beyond stupid all the way to moronic. These people continue to prove that liberalism is an incurable mental disorder.
Oops! May we expect to see your new-found zeal for religious expression
toextend to Christians as well?Stopped in 1992 and never regretted it. Never missed a thing either.
Yeah, I watched from 1982-’92 and learned that the grayer Ted Turner’s hair got, the more liberal his politics and the leanings of his network became.
Good Christ, what a freakin’ moron!!
(Be sure to check out this genius’ ‘Poetry Slam’ for an insightful, uplifting venture into total buffoonery.)
Only if “Happy Holidays Mofo!” is deemed an accepable religious expression.
accepable is unacceptable for acceptable. (slap!)
Who is this Russell Simons guy? Is he supposed to be somebody important?
Rap isn’t real music.
This is real music (Joan Jett):

Russell who?
LOL! Spacey, you crack me up.
Saw the Four Tops and the Temptations here last week . Great show.
What the heck has happened to black music in America? It’s so angry.
Black music – real music – is as good as it ever was. The difference is that a) the MFM advances its agenda by promoting the angry stuff and b) crap sells.
And Russell Simmons needs to take off the Yankee hat if he’s going to be that ignorant about things that go on in NY.
Rap is to music is what graffiti is to art.
Simmons hasn’t been the same since the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
Blame that mental disorder called liberalism. Generations indoctrinated to be angry.
nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got sumthin’ to say
but nuthin’ comes out when they move their lips
just a bunch of gibberish

My niece told me, “Music is like candy. You just have to throw out the rappers.”
Obviously, marketing gangstas requires little intellect. I hope he enjoys his blood money in this life because it won’t serve him well in the next.

Rap isn’t real music. Just a bunch of goofball dancers and a guy with a record player.
This is real music (George Thorogood & The Destroyers):

(Come to think of it, that would be one rockin’ kickass concert doubleheader:

George Thorogood and the Destroyers)
‘My four four make sure all your kids don’t grow!’

Someone on this thread knows way too many rap lyrics.
I feel much more stupid for having read them.
I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Say, this Russell guy is not a long lost half-brother of Obama, is he?
Russell shares the brilliance and eloquence of Obama.
Do we have a Department of Religious Tolerance? Make him a Secretary of that department. OR at least make him a Czar of Religious Tolerance.
Oh crap. Now I’m going to have to stop and reevaluate everything that I have been edumicated on by Russell Simmons.
Why do I always put all of my eggs into one basket!
Oh…wait.
I thought you were talking about Gene Simmons, the “God of Thunder.”
Never mind. I feel resmarter already.
who’s Larry King, better yet who’s Russell Simmons?
Huh? What is that supposed to mean.
He’s on the Spread The Stupidity Tour. There is no point in keeping all of it to himself.
Is he really any dumber than all those Dems who want a mosque at Ground Zero?
The easy rich show that they really are dunmb as a bag of feed.
Gosh, I hope not, because that wouldn’t make a lick of sense!
“Rap is sung people who can’t sing, can’t play an instrument, and can’t write lyrics. It’s vocal graffiti-just a temper tantrum with a beat.
Considering his skin colour, that would not bode well for King’s son for him to disagree live on the air.
Besides, we all know that liberal journalists like King cower at criticism of the Muslim male.
Larry’s clueless, but was likely thinking the same thing about learning something.
Actual quote from “The Audacity of Hope” [pg. 261]:
There are a few things that the atheist Allahpundit (over at HotAir) doesn’t realize.
One of them is… Barack Hussein Obama took Shahada
I’m sure all 12 of Larry King’s viewers agreed w/ Simmons…if the nursing home had the TV turned up loud enough.
I’m not a rap fan, but as someone (way) under 60 and in touch with popular culture, I feel like it’s worth addressing some of the (incredibly uninformed) answers here:
He never *once* said “da” or “man” (or even used anything approaching slang) so I’m not sure what you’re quoting – it wouldn’t even be right phonetically – but it’s very in character with the outlook of a lot of people here that you’d hear it – regardless of what was actually said – this way. I agree that he’s totally misinformed, but this interpretation of his speech says more about how you see/hear the world than about his actual speech patterns.
What bling? No, really – I’m asking.
No offense, but I highly doubt you know what’s going on with ANY music in America. My guess is the last time you were paying attention to new music, Carter was in office (and I’m being generous). I’m not sure by WHAT definition Rihanna, Usher, The Black Eyed Peas or Drake (just to pick some of the biggest black artists right now, based on chart position) would be considered “angry.”
Oh – and btw – the most overtly violent and incredibly successful rap group (and with the most dedicated following of almost anyone in music across genres) in existence right now is Insane Clown Posse, an (all white, since we’re apparently designating music as “black” or “white”) rap outfit who sing about things like decapitating people, and whose logo is a guy carrying an axe, with song titles like “Imma Kill You.” (Trust me – Kanye West, who raps and tweets mostly about high art and couture fashion, comes off like Little Lord Fauntleroy next to these guys.) Their DIEHARD fan base call themselves Juggalos and have been involved in so many murderous crimes that they’ve been labeled a gang in Utah, Arizona and parts of Pennsylvania. You may have heard of them recently, because their 2010 “Gathering” – an annual live musical festival that includes the group and similar horrorcore outfits – including a stabbing and an attack on reality TV tart Tila Tequila. Here’s video of a Nightline piece about the group and the violent crimes committed by fans that includes an interview with its members.
{Something self-promotional here}
(something sounding like a clanging cymbal)
I didn’t intend to analyze his speech patterns. I intended to make fun of him and portray his blatant stupidity.
