Calling him out: Ohio Democrat official debunks White House stimulus lie
Hey, remember when the White House launched a “fact check” propaganda site to call out all the supposed misinformation about its massive government takeover of health care? “Facts are stubborn things,” they lectured.
Yes, indeed they are. And now, the White House is getting schooled on its stimulus propaganda by a local Ohio Democrat official who set the record straight about Obama’s claims.
Via the Columbus Dispatch:
A local project that President Barack Obama cited during a visit Wednesday to Columbus as an example of how the federal stimulus package has worked isn’t actually being funded with stimulus dollars.
The president spoke at the North Side home of architect Joe Weithman, and both Obama’s comments and information from the White House touted Weithman’s work on a project that the president said was being at least partially funded by the $787 billion stimulus bill passed last year.
“What we’ve been trying to do is to build infrastructure that puts people back to work but also improves the quality of life in communities like Columbus,” Obama said in his remarks. “So Joe is an architect, and he’s now working on a new police station that was funded in part with Recovery Act funds.”
But although federal money is being used for the project in question, there are no stimulus dollars involved, said Columbus Finance Director Paul Rakosky, a Democrat.

Anyone with an ounce of sense, AND A WILLINGNESS TO CONFRONT REALITY, knows when the gubment tells you their service is better than and cheaper than the private sector equivalent IT IS A LIE. You can’t name a single thing the gubmint does from education to pension management that the gubmint does better than the private sector. BECAUSE IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR IF YOU DON’T PUT MONEY INTO THE PENSION PLAN YOU GO TO JAIL UNLESS YOU ARE THE GUBMINT, AND IF YOU DON’T TEACH KIDS IN PRIVATE SCHOOL HOR TO GET A 1300 ON THE SAT, YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS. fEDEX/UPS WORK, THE POST OFFICE MAKES EXCUSES AND SHIPS BULK MAIL FOR PENNIES WHILE CHARGING 46 CENTS FOR A LETTER. No wonder AlGore invented the internet and email. Let’s see if any of you can come up with a gubmint service that you rate better than and more efficient than a similar private company.
I believe that Obama has something missing in his brain…some connector in there that would allow him to know the difference between the truth and a lie. I am serious. Somehow, the truth and a lie are the same to the progressives. They are masters at rewriting history and they fool themselves into believing they are actually telling the truth. That is why, when called on it, they can’t even apologize. They just can’t admit, even to themselves that they have lied. Why else would they think they could get away with it? The lies can be verified so easily and they have to know that!! This is truly frightening. Just look at some of the progressive lies over the years and you will see I am right. Remember Hillary and her being under fire from the enemy? She told it like she believed it herself because she did believe it. A lie becomes true to them after a while.
Speaking of Hillary…have you seen her lately? Someone send that poor woman on a vacation!! She looks horrible!!! Her hair is flat and stringy and she has huge bags under her eyes. She looks like she is ready to fall down. And that was in front of a group of people she was speaking to. Something is wrong…there is no reason for her to work herself literally to death while the Obamas frolic on the beach 6 times in two months. What is up with that???
It’s an election year and the Dumbocrats are worried. They’ve started eating their own in hopes they can sway the public from the awful truth–that they’re soley responsible for the economy and job losses. People just aren’t buying their own line of “It’s Bush’s fault”.

Happy, my grandmother used to say that if you tell one lie then you will have to tell others to cover the first one. After awhile all the lies become so distorted that you can’t remember the truth. This is O’s problem. He believes that way he says is true because, as you say, it’s true in his mind.

Tiger…I don’t feel sorry for Hillary either. But I do think something is wrong. Just look at her. I wonder if Obama has something on her and she has no choice to to do what he tells her. I truly think she is being blackmailed. She was “convinced” to give up the fight for POTUS, I think, a bit too easily.

And it is a ship built on a foundation of lies, inexperience, Ivy league graduates as well as Pelosi and the people who bow to her wishes and vote without reading. No sailor in their right mind would come within 50 feet of this ship except to wonder in amazement how it ever got launced in the first place.

I find it really hilarious that 25% think Obama is a Muslim. Hilarious! Because he wasn’t vetted at all before he was elected POTUS!! As the son of the Muslim father, Senator Obama was born a Muslim under Muslim law as it is universally understood. It makes no difference that, as Senator Obama has written, his father said he renounced his religion. Likewise, under Muslim law based on the Koran his mother’s Christian background is irrelevant.
Then Trinity Church may not be Christian at all. It espouses black liberation theology which is about collective belief rather than individual belief. Part of the collective belief is that the white man is the devil.
Without clicking the link, I could easily picture what the WH spin might be: “Well, it’s still being supported by government money, so it’s saving or creating jobs.”
Yeah, OK. The point is, why are the rest of us financing a project in Columbus? Let Columbus use their own money!
Frankly, the only place I heard this story on was Fox 360. I checked a few MSM stations and sites, not a word…it is going to be left up to us to get the word out via blogging, writing to newspapers, calling stations, etc. The MSM is aiding and abetting Obeyme and cronies.

After considering all the words and all the actions of this POTUS since he took office, I truly believe that he is attacking us from within and is the greatest threat to this nation.
I hope others see this as well and are able to find the legal means to dispose of this “foreign agent” before its too late.
