DNC’s Alaska amnesia

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 25, 2010 03:56 PM

Snort-worthy video of the day via the NSRC: “DNC Spokesperson Doesn’t Know Alaskan Dem Candidate’s Name.”

Via WaPo:

His name is Scott McAdams, and he stands a remote chance of beating Miller or current Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski in November. As The Post’s Chris Cillizza put it in an online live chat late Wednesday morning: “I have heard NOTHING from Democrats about Alaska and given the other races they have to worry about in the Senate, it’s hard for me to imagine them spending any money in the Last Frontier or targeting it in any significant way.”

Suggestion for McAdams’ new campaign theme: “Say My Name, Say My Name…”

Unfortunately, this DNC spokesperson is probably matched by an equally clueless spokesperson on the RNC side.

Yikes. Let’s hope the rest of his Dem comrades across the country are equally unprepared.

Hopefully, after November, the DNC will have this dilemma in all 50 states. I’ll concede DC, Guam, American Samoa, and Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile, down in Florida, McCollum is a very sore loser (in spite of endorsements by Mitt, Huckabee, Martinez, Jeb, and Newt). His brand was forevermore tainted by Crist; and he had the idiocy to state, minutes before the AP announced Scott the winner last night, that McCollum’s campaign was a “grass roots effort.” Half of Florida’s registered Republicans did not see it that way.

Just reading HotAir that there is a rumor Murkowski is considering an indpendent run. So, I guess Floridians should be happy that McCollum at least admitted he got beat on paper during his tantrum.Do politicians lose with grace anymore?

For those who feel compelled to offer to surrender California to Mexico, I would like to point out that the Tea Party Express that did the yeoman work in Alaska for Miller was from California. Your welcome.

And that Sarah who? lady from Alaska–she couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with yesterday’s election results.

Ian Faith: Yeah. I wouldn’t worry about it though, it’s not a big college town.

Here is what is really interesting about Joe Miller winning yesterday: all of the polls indicated that he was far behind except his internal polls which showed him closing in fast in the last few days.

Here in Pasadena, we have a conservative Tea Party candidate, John Colbert, running against uber-liberal Democrat Adam Schiff. Real Clear Politics has Schiff listed as “safe”. We disagree and believe that Colbert is close or ahead. This would be a big win for Republicans in CA given the history of this district.

That’s an excuse that liberals always use. If the Republicans do it, so can we. Trouble is, the “it” is always something detrimental and stupid.
