Children’s Hospitals plans to cut up to 250 jobs – “The provider — with campuses in Minneapolis and St. Paul — said Wednesday the down economy is forcing more children to rely on Medicaid.”
Nearly 400 StarKist Co. cannery workers lose jobs – “StarKist has had to contend with federally mandated minimum wage increases. Butler says other costs are also rising in such areas as utilities and transportation.”
Northrop Grumman announces more layoffs – “The Los Angeles-based company said it would reduce its work staff by 642 at its shipbuilding operations in Pascagoula, Miss., or about 5.8% of the facilities total workforce. That follows a notification earlier this month that it would layoff 300 employees at its facilities in Avondale, La., and Tallulah, La.”
Janitors protest layoffs in LA’s Century City – “Los Angeles police spokesman Richard French said about 300 people rallied outside JP Morgan Chase-owned Century Plaza Thursday afternoon and 13 were arrested for allegedly blocking traffic. He says the arrests were without incident. The custodians and their supporters from SEIU United Service Workers West called on JP Morgan to rehire their cleaning staff.”

Elections have consequences.
This is a prime example of Obowmao’s signature program to “fundamentally change America”.
Imam Obama expects large rewards from his Mideast masters once out of office.
People have to be reminded every couple of generations what socialism gives us. Unfortunately we never get far enough back to free markets after these episodes.
Job loss and the fundemental destruction of an entire economy is part of the plan to rid the world of an evil “Super Power”. If you can’t understand the fact that Obama & Crew are America’s sworn enemy, it’s your failure that enables our enemy.
There is a way out of the Obama free fall of our nation. The Constitution provides the way out, but both those in power and the majority of the rest of us, either from fear, or just not caring, refuse to use the one path that could stop the destruction now.
The results of our inaction are creating an America that may never recover from this regime.
You have to add back in all of those “green” jobs created in China with about $7-8 billion of TARP money and all of those GGM jobs created in China and Mexico with those bailouts.
Remember, we are all “citizens of the world” now. Our problem is that we keep thinking in terms of jobs in America. How selfish of us.
Who was it that said this administration had declared a war on jobs? It appears to be winning this war.
Did anyone else notice that the liberal MSM – i.e. NBC – is advertising on this blog. Won’t this warp the space-time fabric and cause the world to fall into chaos and darkness?

Obama lied, jobs died.
Well, all except the most obvious option staring them in the face. But for Team Zero, that would be like staring into the sun. They have to instinctively avert their eyes.
Don’t count on Obama and this corrupt Congress to do the right thing. They know their policies aren’t working and they can’t get away with it much longer. But they have no choice…if they start doing the right thing now (in order to win in November), it will just show how wrong they have been the past two years. It is too late for them. I just pray it isn’t too late to overturn some of their horrible bills, mainly Obamacare and some of the other ones they have snuck through without most people even knowing.
This is no joke. It is precisely the way our elites think about it. And by ‘elites’ in this case I am not only referring to the super rich and the politically powerful Americans. It also includes the millions of clueless wannabees who think of themselves as citizens of the world but are regarded by the real elites as useful idiots.
Community organizers don’t create jobs; they demand extortion payments. Community organizers don’t teach people how to be self-sufficient; they teach people to demand something for nothing. Community organizers don’t have leadership and governing skills; they teach people how to be dissatisfied. Community organizers dupe the poorly informed to advance their own careers at the expense of prosperity. When people demand something for nothing, they receive something that in not worth anything.
At what point will the Government of the United States of America start enforcing our laws, negotiating treaties which benefit us as much as they benefit others, and not giving awayour intellectual property by subsidizing foreign students in our colleges? I don’t mind competing on a global scale, but the rules need to be equal for both sides. Our labor force is always going to be greater than some third world toilet like China, but then businesses have to put up with property theft and intellectual property theft on a massive scale if they choose to do business there. The costs may be more than a business can stand.
Agreed — taking America down a few notches, always a darling dream of the left, is a feature of this administration’s “economic policy” — not a bug.
As one who has lost a job (over a year ago) and was denied benefits I feel I have every right to say…

How dumb do you have to be to not know that if you use the same Keynesian policies that were used during the decade long great depression, you’re going to get similar results!
Now that they are admitting their leftist economic policies aren’t working, how about taking a page out of the conservative textbook and giving that a try? That would mean lowering taxes, cutting spending, and reducing the size of government. Maybe if they stopped draining money out of the private sector to feed the bloated government tapeworm, some jobs could actually be created in this down economy.
But…but…but that just can’t be! Remember all the wailing of the Democrats when the evil “Rethuglicans” were holding up the unemployment benefits for “tens of thousands” of unemployed people? I mean it’s just not possible that you would be denied benefits! Isn’t it?
