First ‘Hillary for President in 2012′ Ad Hits the Airwaves
**Written by Doug Powers
You know it’s been a long year and a half when you can sit back, watch a pitch for Hillary Clinton for president, and fool yourself into thinking that she (and her husband) looks like Reagan compared to Barack Obama.
From CNN:
We’ve still got two months left until the 2010 midterm elections, but we now have our first television commercial of the 2012 presidential campaign. And the ad advocates for a person who says she has no intention of running for the White House.
[...]
The commercial was paid for by a Chicago dentist named William DeJean. When asked why he put the ad up, DeJean told CNN Thursday that “I’m a dentist and I don’t think this country is headed in the right direction.”
[...]
DeJean adds that he thinks people are having buyer’s remorse about President Barack Obama and says the current administration is ruining the Democratic Party. He says he spent $5,000 to create the commercial and tells CNN that besides New Orleans, the ad will run in Washington, New York and Los Angeles, and possible Houston. DeJean says he chose to first run the ad in New Orleans because he’s a native of the city and because the city’s in the news due to the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
DeJean sunk some money into Hillary’s efforts in the past, so what’s a little more root-canal cash spent trying to ensure that the 3 a.m. phone call isn’t answered with “we’re buying shrimp here guys, call back later”?
This has more overstatements than an ad for x-ray glasses in a comic book, but hey, it’s a start:

All she needs now is for the GOP to start pining for the Bush years so she can remind Americans about how much better the Clinton years were.
Never underestimate the capacity of Republicans to embrace their inner “stupid”.
Hilary is just Obama in drag. The ideas are the same. The tactics are the same. The party is the same. And the results will be the same. But at least you won’t be called racist for disagreeing with her. Just sexist.
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!
Given her rich legacy of “smart diplomacy,” I’m positively revved up about her. NOT!
Not one of the brightest things you’ve ever written. If you’ll look into the funding for the Erection on the Arkansas, otherwise known as the Clinton Library and Massage Parlor, you’ll find that he’s just as owned and operated by the Muslims as Obama, if not more so. And that means Hillary is, too.
For the love of God, NO MORE CLINTON/BUSH/OBAMA people.
EVER!
At least Obama will step up to the teleprompter and lie to your face.
Why would anyone vote for a pathetic woman who habitually slinks away from hard work (Iran) and runs to the cameras to give away other people’s money (Pakistan floods.)
Enough with politicians. How about leaders?
AAAWWWWWWWWW!
Poor little sniveling libtard.
I strongly suspect he could care less about the socialism and thievery…just that his socialist party is being exposed for what they are.
The Tea Party movement has been a great positive force, but it has its dark side. With no central structure, it presents a difficult target to its enemies, but then it also makes it open to exploitation by charlatans and other leftists.
She cannot be serious. A Palin vs Hillary debate would be all the voters would need to stick a fork in the Clinton carcASS. Hillary sold her soul to the current hoodlum-in-chief; she cannot point to any worthwhile achievement as SOS, except her bobble head pose to sell out our allies.
Does she expect those forgotten for the sake of Moslem scumbags and despots in Venezuela and other countries to just kiss and make up?
Would American Jews vote for this miasma?
Too many negatives and a growing appreciation among Americans about how Reagan was the reason for the Clinton’s ruinous season. Just wait til the Fannie Freddie scandals erupt in front of her: she lives with the architect of these disasters. What exactly has Hillary done to deserve to be President?
She hasn’t been a king maker like Sarah Palin. She hasn’t done much as a Senator except run for President. I dont think we will elect another perpetual campaigner.
Bottom line is she huffs as a candidate. I guess she can alway spend a billion and buy the damn thing. The WhiteBlack guy did.
Can we just retire the dems this fall and wait to see about this presidential nonsense after the Boy Prez soils himself for real?
And a Chicago Dentist–tooth puller (-;
Still on vacation roaming the Big Sky. Lost a tire and rim so we are in town–Hillary and a flat tire? Somehow I should be able to make a joke out of that.

Don’t Leave home without it.
OMG …
Fighting off the temptation to pick apart this commercial point by point is really tough.
Suffice to say, electing Obama plus to replace Obama would be one of the stupidest things Americans could do.
Sadly, of course, I wouldn’t put it past. After all, 2008′s choices were basically Karl Marx vs Adolf Hitler (read that a rock and a hard place).
No thanks, indeed.

Even the Constitutionalists and Libertarians at my blog are pining for the Bush years.
Not really. It’s an effort to make the point that yeah Bush may have been better, but America is herself better than that.
We must wake up the people of this country to the shellacking the two major parties are working together to give them.
Once that happens, hope for this great country is restored.

Don’t forget whom Palin sold her soul to.
He’s not a favorite here – and even less of one out my way.
RWR

RWR: I doubt seriously that Sarah Palin sold her soul to John McCain. She did well to back him and eat the crap sandwich in order to be able to get onto the national stage. Is she in “bed” with that hack? I don’t see a lot of evidence about that. She’s not perfect, but she has some Reaganesque qualities that hard core conservative backers of Reagan appreciate as the mettle for the next go round that we need. The folks who built the reluctant Reagan into a president that he was have high hopes for Palin. As do I. She’ll live up to conservative principles: the nation is broke and defaulting so that shouldnt be too hard to pull off—- no mo money…what’s a President going to do?
McCain is a complete touch hole in every respect. The only thing he did well was choose a running mate in 08. Then let her twist in the wind…and she came up stronger for it. Thanks, Johnny. Now fade into the sunset.
Sorry but IMHO I don’t think Palin could win. We really need a stronger candidate to whip the Dems. I just don’t know who we’ve got. McCain? Huckabee? blech. Some of the better ones are not well known enough. And NO MORE career politicians or lawyers. We need someone with some business & economic sense.
Hillary and Obama were identical on the issues during the campaign with the exception of a meaningless small difference in healthcare plans. Hillary has managed to stay away from the spotlight since 2008 however she has been among the worst Secretaries of State in US History with no accomplishments. In fact even the Swiss slap America now with the Roman Polanski issue.
I think it will be a while before anybody looks at the Democrat party favorably … Bank robbers turn out to not be popular after all.
If McCant runs against Shill, there will be no LOTE voting.
You do know that people said the exact same thing about Reagan.
I’m not saying she’s the next Reagan or endorsing her or anything. I just find it funny how many unelectable people make it to the Oval Office.
I predicted Reagan’s election in spring of 1977 while a senior in college. My eastern establishment cronies laughed at me. I took bets.
People think Palin is unelectable. The rest of the Republicans who LET the current train wreck get elected cannot seriously believe they can sweet talk the American people into voting for them.
Palin may not be electable according to some, but in my opinion she is getting stronger, and she is exerting INFLUENCE. If she doesnt run herself, it will be interesting to see what her emerging circle will do about selecting a team that can win.
Best case she takes the prize. Worst case her circle chooses a winning ticket.
Absolute best case is the next pres election finishes off the Clintons for good.
It’s easy to run when the economy is good…. and the Feds have money. Let’s see what the old establishment on both sides of the aisle try to do without it. (As for Huckabee, LOSER!!!! A clueless, slick Willie Wanabe)
Who knows?!?! Let’s win the first fight first.
The libs had their chance to elect Hillary. I doubt that she would have delivered the progressive goodies any faster than bho. Neither they nor McCain would have made good presidents. It is time for a clean slate of candidates. These old guard party retreads need to go find some nice beach and retire there. We have lots of cleaning up to do and we don’t need any of them preventing the clean up or the return to true liberty.
Oh by all means “Cankles For President!” Nothing like another Clinton administration to bring honor and respect back to the WhiteHouse. What a poinyoin!
That would be grim, if true, since she’s the only one of the long list of leading candidates I wouldn’t have to grit my teeth to vote for.
As far as I know she and Gingrich are the only two who came out early and hard against the building of that Islamic victory mosque.
Anyone who did not express outrage at that abomination eliminated themselves. I do not want another President who is firmly in the pockets of the oil sheiks the way our last four Presidents have been.
Hillary has more dead ex-business partners than the Gotti family.
If she runs, say goodbye to any R majority, especially if anyone previously damaged by the MSM runs against her (Palin, Gingrich). Actually, this is a very smart move to do this now to energize the buyers’ remorse left base with the midterms so close to mitigate the losses…
Riiiight. We should pick the R candidate based on what the lamestream media wants?
Maybe, but you have it exactly backwards. The more the LSM hates a candidate, the more we should want to elect that candidate.
Maybe we should submit this to the United Nations Human Rights Commission. Or maybe it will be brought up at an Arizona law suit.
It’s not hard for Hillary to look moderate, when the only people left of Obama are Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro (barely), and others like them. Even the late Ted Kennedy looked like Rush Limbaugh compared to this fool in the White House.
How about that “I’m a dentist…” unconnected thought? Let’s make a game out of that. We could start with “I’m a dentist and I dont like __________”
global warming
clubbing baby seals
clowns
All excellent reasons for running a campaign ad for Billary, no?
Palin MAY be our last best hope but I am still not convinced she could win. I sure hope someone beats the Democraps! IF we don’t get them out I think we are doomed.
The Dems must dump Obama for Clinton. They really have no other option. Obama is a cancer, even to them. This will certainly attract mush-brained Independents who would think she is a “centrist”.
Put Her Thighness and Obowmao in a bag, shake ‘em up and with your eyes closed pull one of them out. They’re the same. Both Alinsky-ites. Both wrong for our country.
Hillary can’t run against OBambi, Bill already bought her the VP spot on Obumer’s ticket.
I think William DeJean is a poinyoin, does that make me an Anti-Dentite?
I really would enjoy seeing Obambi and Nillary battle it out for the Dem nomination. The weekly Frank Luntz show, alone would make it worthwhile.
Obeyme won’t run. Several states will require proof of Constitutional eligibility for the office to be on the ballot. He will suddenly decide one ‘good’ term is enough.
Ms Pumpkin colored PIAPS for President -
Now I know I am living in a Orwellian world.
Hillary Clinton is a sad old shell of a woman who looks and talks like a zombie. Her face is usually dead-pan and her eyes are vacant and sad. Look at her sometime, talking in front of a crowd. Put her next to a Sarah Palin, or any other conservative woman and the contrast will be obvious to anyone with a brain. Hillary has nothing left, if she ever had anything in the first place. Stick a fork in her! (No, I’m not advocating violence)
I’ve seen a lot of possibilities! Why does everyone continually go back to the same tired retreads??? Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty, McCain (OMG), even Palin. They are not the best candidates and we need to move on from them. And not to Gingrich!! The first time I saw Marco Rubio, I thought, there is Presidential material in the making. We also have Mike Pence, Jim DeMint, Gov. Crist of NJ. And there are more out there. We need to let go of the loser RINO’s of the past and move on. I adore Sarah Palin, but I don’t think she is Presidential material. She is great in other arenas, just not POTUS. VP…maybe!
Cristie would be no better than Brown. They are only good relative to other northeasterners.
DeMint would be my choice, but he’s a first term Senator (soon to be in his second term) who is nowhere on the radar, yet. And he has no executive experience. The media has not yet gone into full attack mode on him, so we do not know what in his past may be able to be used as a weapon against him.
We talk about the candidates in play. The ones who show up on the polls. That’s just the way it works, but it’s good to remember candidates can and do occasionally seem to come out of nowhere.
And you are completely wrong about Palin. She would make a great President.
Errah, this cackling wench sold her soul to the devil to stay in the spotlight just a bit longer. Hasn’t she handed over all the nuclear codes to the russian yet? After 2012 or until this politcal rodent jumps ship, will be the last time I want to hear her name. Hopefully when they ensconce her pants suit next to Abagail Adams and Jackie O’s ball gowns in the Smithsonian will be the last time we hear her name in public. What a disgrace!
***
Every time I listen to and watch Sarah Palin–the better she looks to me as the only real conservative POTUS candidate that can win. Watch her excellent performance with her husband Todd during Greta Van Sustern’s video interviews in Alaska. She will “field dress” President Obama or SOS Hillary Clinton in any fair non Teleprompter debate.
***
Yes–her voice is a little “screechy”–and she talks too quickly for most people. But she is on message and clearly states good actions to improve economic and energy problems.
***
The Sarah’Cuda is in the trenches and is fighting hard to stop the Comrade Obama (PBUH) socialist / marxist takeover of the U.S.A. And the other supposedly electable conservative RINO candidates are “hanging back” and are AWOL in the fight.
***
Sarah Palin has a real good track record as Alaska’s Governor. And also in her personal life. She is a tough lady who will do what she says–and will do what is right for the U.S.A. I trust her much more than I trust her supposed political “betters”. RUN, SARAH, RUN!

Of course they would! If it has a D after the name over 90% will vote for it. The only explanation is that most are secular and have no interest in Israel or agree with most leftists that its evil.
I hope she does run, because every black in the U.S. will think she dissed Obama after he gave her that cushy job. The jewish vote for her will also be way off, especially in NY, due to her anti Israel positions, and the old vote will remember the scandals of the Clinton years and not wish for a repeat. I don’t see how Hillbilly could win even the primary against the one, because the Chicago thugs know the one will give them the gubmint grease, while Hilly MIGHT give them the grease.
What we don’t need is yet another “modern progressive” anywhere in government!!!
Maybe it’s just me, but one would assume most snake-bit Americans would want to think twice about falling for anything coming out of Chicago for awhile.
I can see why someone from Chicago would want to support (yet) another corrupt politician (and her spouse)…they like to preach “change” but are actually uncomfortable with it.
How soon do people forget the drama surrounding the Clinton’s…mysterious deaths, suicides, plane crashes, hidden documents, back-door dealings, political nepotism, criminal charges, last minute pardons, trashing the White House as they left…the list just goes on and on.
I have no reason to believe anything would be different this time around, do you? They are still is crooked as the day is long.
Isn’t Obama merely Hillary in a suit? Without the balls? OK, he’s way more Marxist/muslim than she is.
Well, I think OBamination borrowed her “mommy-jeans” for his bike ride, though.
Looks like he borrowed Bill’s intern’s bike too.
Three words:
President Jan Brewer
Secretary of Homeland Security:
Joe Arpaio
Amen!!!!!!!!!!!
I am soooooooo looking forward to the dems civil war over Tankles vs Maobama. It’s gonna be a hoot to watch.
Um, why? Especially this early? How many people outside of Arkansas had ever heard of Bill Clinton in 1990?
What makes a candidate show up in the polls is people talking about him. We – the ones who converse about politics on a regular basis – are at the leading edge of that. There’s absolutely no reason to narrow our focus to what the polls are saying right now. We should be focusing on the individuals who would actually do the best job as President, and then let the polls follow along.
I’m inclined to agree.
But notice you did not name names.
Some Democrats want Hillary for President 2012.
Well, what do the world’s Muslims want?
Now, why would Muslims think that Obama is a Muslim?
Perhaps because Barack Hussein Obama “took Shahada”.
Well, yes, that is what we should do, but the damage the LSM has inflicted in the last few years on Palin I believe is irreparable. If she did run and win, the backlash would be Armageddon with the Dems probably winning back the House and Senate in 2014. Why have a political situation get worse?
I’m still hoping that there is a dark horse out there. We need someone who takes the LSM by surprise and completely delights us.
There were names listed in the post you were responding to. Pence I’m a little nervous about for more than one reason. I think you seriously underestimate Christie when you liken him to Brown, but regardless, he’s made it clear that he’s not interested in the White House, and unlike with most other politicians, I believe him when he says that.
That leaves DeMint, whom I find quite impressive. You point out that he doesn’t have executive experience. Well, though Palin technically does, it’s at the head of a state with a considerably smaller population than most of our major cities. I don’t know how much that really compares with the decade-plus of Washington experience that DeMint has. I certainly wouldn’t write him off.
AKA Night of the Living Dead
There are a number of Conservative Republicans with potential, some just emerging on the national scene that will make excellent candidates in 2012. Our real challenge comes from the entrenched Repub leadership and their friends in the media and money’ed world, they have no intention of allowing the sweating-tax’paying-masses decide who runs this country any more than the tone deaf Democrats have. Prepare to fight for the right to choose America’s new leaders.
I ruefully agree. The safest way while still placating Palin fans would have her for V.P. and seek a more encompassing dark horse. The personality fandom thing is going to kill us if we can’t face the UP-Hill challenge more pragmatically and objectively, especially as Obama’s programs start taking root and sways the populace the Dems’ way.

If i didn’t know the creator of this ad was serious i would have thought this was some kind of a joke.
That ad looks like a big pile of steaming pelosi to me!
If the Dems dump Obama for Hillary, wouldn’t that make them RACISTS!?!?!?
Um…I personally believe Hillary would kill (and maybe already has?) to be President. She has a massive ego and an unrelenting passion to get her progressive agenda imposed on the Republic. She would do anything. This is her last chance….before she starts spending money to get a UN job.
