Chicago Mayor Richard Daley hangs up his crooked hat
Nope, he won’t get to close out his tenure with the Crony-lympics, but Chicago Mayor Richard Daley is riding off into the sunset.
Via the Chicago Tribune: “Mayor Richard Daley says he will not run for re-election in 2011. ‘The truth is I have been thinking about this for the past several months,’ Daley said at a City Hall news conference. ‘In the end this is a personal decision, no more, no less.’”
He leaves behind bankrupt government coffers, crime-infested public housing, and one of the “most stressed cities” in the nation.
Time to make way for another corruptocrat (paging Rahm Emanuel)!

My Dad grew up in Chicago and said that when a Chicago politician dies, they have to screw him into the grave because he is so crooked.
He looks like his father, he acts like his father, he is corrupt to the core like his father. When his father gave him 300+ K (commissions) in Chicago real estate business deals, the elder said “Who can blame a father for helping his own son.” and the stupid electorate in Chicago bought it. It was the last straw for me and I left Chicago for good. One can only hope that people are finally wising up and it will no longer be a haven for corruption.
What are the Republicans in Chicago? They are the Master Card to Chicago’s Visa Card (the Democrats). They are allowed 20% of the vote if they make sure no third party makes in-roads. It is what Rahm and Obama intended for the Republicans in the National political scene. Players like Mc Cain and Graham would be only too happy to comply.

Looks like an excellent opportunity for another WH rat, i.e., Rahm-E to leave the sinking SS Obama on or about 11/03/10.
And most likely, Chicago’s voters (including the dead ones) will elect him by a landslide.
Just think how much worse things would have been had Daley not arrived in the nick of time. Who knows how many thousands of gang-bangers are still alive today because Daley’s war on private gun possession!
And we might have still had Miegs Field (CGX) airport.
If the people of Chicago let Rahm “Tiny Dancer” Emanuel anywhere NEAR the office of mayor…

If Chicago is smart, no one will elect Emanuel or allow him back in the state.
The very name “Daley” is a synonym for “crooked politics”.

Like the Democrats in the House and Senate, Daley is aware of the coming collapse of the economy due to their intentional fraud and destruction. They want their legacy left intact, rather than be blamed for committing financial and constitutional crimes against the people. Rham will not enter the Chicago race. He will write a book then create a lobbying firm or join a wall street firm. Time to bleed these liberals of their stolen wealth. Line them up with Federal subpoenas and lawsuits.
Will the next mayor pick up the mantle of fighting against the 2nd Amendment in every way possible?
This is going to get very very interesting. Who would want to run Chicago? I mean, it is sinking fast! I hope no Republican tries for the spot because any true Republican would be eaten alive in weeks. Of course, a Republican could never be elected there anyway. Blago should come back for the comedy value alone. He is a hilarious jerk.
We here in The People’s Socialist Quagmire of California have Jerry Brown running for governor on the socialist ticket. He was mayor of Oakland and did such a bang up job there. Yeah, the murder and general crime rate in Oakland is still on the rise. Thanks, Jerr-O. Plan on doing the same thing for the state you did for Oakland? Hope (and Change) not!
This is a chance for the people of Chicago to free themselves from the yoke of corruption and crime (both condoned or perpetrated by their gov’t).

Most Chicago citizens are not that smart and the voter pool is so contaminated that those citizens that do want to correct the political garbage can’t do it.
