What else is new: Muslim initiates “Burn the Stars and Stripes Day”
In retaliation for wackadoodle pastor Terry Jones’s Burn a Koran Day on 9/11, a British Muslim activist has called for an international “Burn the Stars and Stripes Day.”
A radical Islamic activist and lawyer in the U.K. has called on Muslims worldwide to burn U.S. flags outside American embassies on Sept. 11, a “direct retaliation” against a Florida church’s plan to burn Qurans on the same day.
Anjem Choudary, former leader of the banned hardline Islamic group Islam4UK, told CBS News in London he was calling for, “an international burn the Stars and Stripes day” on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Choudary, who regularly organizes small demonstrations in Britain calling for the implementation of Islamic law, was the first public figure — and a likely one — to call for retaliation against Gainesville, Fla. Reverend Terry Jones’ plans to burn at least 100 Qurans.
Choudary’s co-religionists have already gotten a jump start:
Hundreds of angry Afghans burned an American flag and chanted “Death to the Christians” on Thursday to protest plans by a small American church to torch copies of the Muslim holy book on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
Local officials in Mahmud Raqi, the capital of the Kapisa province some 100 kilometers (60 miles) northeast of Kabul, estimated that up to 4,000 people took part in the protest. But NATO spokesman James Judge said the protest numbered between 500 to 700 people.
Yawn. Every day is a Western flag-burning day somewhere in the Muslim world for every reason under the sun (see here here here here here and here, for starters).
Koran-burning isn’t the real “provocation.” Or Mohammed cartoons. As I’ve said many times over the years, the mere existence of infidels is what provokes and inflames the Religion of Perpetual Outrage. Retaliating against Koran-burners or targeting cartoonists is a lingering pretext to demonstrate that centuries-old, Koran-inspired hatred. If it isn’t cartoons, it’s always something else. From fresco rage to book rage to film rage to beauty pageant rage to Koran-dropping rage to cartoon rage to Pope rage, to ceramic Mohammed bobblehead rage to teddy bear rage to Burger King ice cream cone rage to blasphemous soccer ball rage, it never ends.
They never forget and they never forgive. Which is why we must never submit.

this guy isn’t acting on behalf of the government. In Muslim countries, bigotry against Christians is a role of the state government.
We can’t even have Bibles or Crosses in Muslims countries because of the governments. This is how protests are handled peacefully. He could just get an army together with guns and shoot people in a mosque – that would be bigoted (like Nidal Hasan did).
This is a protest by a free person. If he is endangering the troops with his free speech, our troops need to come home.

Muslims are taught that the Koran’s words are directly from God – Mohammed did not act as an intermediary in composing the words. The Bible was written by men inspired through God’s spirit.
Muslims are taught that the Koran should not even touch the ground. Burning a Koran for a public spectacle is the ultimate insult. By comparison, the Bible states that the Ten Commandments were written directly by “the finger” of God. The stone tablets were kept in the temple.
I’m not defending how some Muslims react to a Koran-burning stunt in Florida. I’m merely citing why some Muslims are sincere in their religious “hydrophobia” as Churchill deftly called it.

I doubt seriously that the sought after moderate Muslims were what saved our butts in Iraq. The people who fought and supported the US were saving their own butts from murdering Islamic Jihadists funded by the Muslim Brotherhood.
That doesnt make a Muslim moderate. It makes him and her interested in living without violent religious persecution by a a violent murderous faction.

I would bet the burning does not happen. Its one thing to puff your chest or draw attention to a cause. Its another to suffer the wrath of Islam. Do moderate muslims believe in the implementation of Sharia Law? If so, how could that work? Sharia law would be in direct conflict wth our constitution. Are moderate Muslims willing to forego Sharia law and live under western laws and our constitution?
I don’t believe that for a minute. How could that be? Islam is not just a religion but a full set of government, laws, social justice, etc. I think it far more likely they would be for full implementation of Sharia law which would mean the end of our constitution.

I believe in the values of this country.
And we are being manipulated by an antiquated religion/government(?).
At this point in our country, I have seen illegal immigrants walk on, burn, and hang upside down our flag. And we as Americans have done nothing because proudly it is our nature to know that it is not something we need to react to with violence. But hey, if they do that, then they do need to leave. Right?
What, to this day, still hurts, is images after 9-11 of Muslim countries cheering at the death of 3,000 people in NYC. And now they wage a different kind of war and with their own special

I have had enough of the placating these people. It is time to stop it before we suffer the fate of the UK and France and everyelse this garbage has been allowed to permeate.
