The New Look Democrats — Plus, How To Make Your Very Own DNC Logo; Updated With Reader Suggestions

DNC Chairman Tim Kaine announced a new party logo yesterday, as well as a new-look website.
Here’s the new logo:

The DNC is selling t-shirts sporting the new logo:
However, the t-shirt costs $30 — well out of the reach of some of the people who have benefitted so greatly from Recovery Summer.
So, since the economy is in a shambles because of those darn Republicans who haven’t had control of anything in quite some time, money is tight and not everybody can afford to buy a t-shirt with the new Democrat logo on it.
But here’s a solution for Democrats who can’t afford the new shirts (or stationary, etc) but still want to tell the world “I stand firmly behind the architects of some of the most unpopular and disastrous legislation in the history of the country now more than ever!”
Simply find an old t-shirt or note-pad that has the ACORN logo on it:
Rotate 90 degrees counter-clockwise:
Carefully remove the top while leaving the actual nut intact (very important):
Now just center the D and fill in the “wealth gap” in the circle, and voila — Your very own “new Democrat” logo!
It’s similar, anyway — recreating logos is like government accounting: An inexact science.

Looks like a “defect” stamp to me.
It looks like one of those logos that the villain would use in a Superman comic. I’m surprised they don’t offer blow-up pectorals and abs on the T-shirt.

And it just had to be that annoying Obama baby-blue shade. By the time 2012 gets here, Sherwin-Williams won’t be able to sell a can of that color anywhere in what’s left of the country.

Looks like a bastardized version of the Orthodox Union logo ( the “O” with the “U” in the middle), but these guys ain’t kosher.
Nah..it only cost them $50….they outsourced the job to China.

Is the “Change that Matters” part of it? If it is, then what the hell does that even MEAN? The utter destruction of the United States via their imbecilic policies is “change that matters.” Completely turning the “land of the free and home of the brave” into “land of the master and home of the slave” is “change that matters.”
If it isn’t part of it, then I find it to be a rather meaningless gesture–just displaying a blue (what other color would they use?) “D” within a blue circle. However, it also fits with all of their meaningless, mindless slogans and platitudes.
Okay, I just visited the website, and I see that this silly slogan actually IS part of it. “Change that Matters” is perfect for the brainless minions, but it’s something that they cannot explain, because the “change” is destroying their lives (whether they ever realize it or not). I think that this little motto can be used to VERY good effect for the GOP, if they can ever get THEIR heads out of their rear-ends, and do something to actually differentiate themselves from the DEMS.

It is rather amazing how this is nothing more than a morph of the Obama and Acorn logos… and a rather weak result at that.

Seems as though the donkey has been completely purged from their party identity, and replaced with the “O” for “Obama” motif. With Obama appearing to for so many as the worst president ever, the choice of such a permanent association could be suicidal. A Republican congress COULD save Obama’s neck in 2012, the same way one did for Bill Clingon in 1996.

We should ask the Democrats who don’t wish to be called Democrats (and don’t mention their party affiliation in their ads), to proudly wear this T-Shirt in public!!!
If they are proud of their party and the “CHANGE” their party has brought, then let them tell the world… let them proudly display this logo in their ads, on their web site, etc….
Of course they won’t, because they AREN’T proud of what they’ve done…
