Stop the illegal alien student bailout now: DREAM Act Senate phone list; Update: Vote scheduled Tuesday 2:15pm

Scroll for updates…Scott Brown, Mike Johanns oppose, Hutchison also a no…

Melt the phones

Last Friday, I dissected Harry Reid’s cap-and-gown illegal alien amnesty — i.e., the DREAM Act amendment to the defense authorization bill up for a vote this week.

Last Wednesday, I warned you about the shamnesty Republicans who have voted and sponsored past DREAM Act nightmares.

The open-borders lobby is out in full force to get the illegal alien student bailout passed. The NYT this morning pleads with the McCain/Soros Republican wing of the party to come back to the DREAM Act fold. Alinsky’s avenging angels are pounding the pavement, staging rowdy sit-ins, and shutting down traffic to get what they want.

As the Socialist Worker Online puts it: They are “undocumented and unafraid.”

What are you doing to make your voice heard?

Via Roy Beck at NumbersUSA, here’s a handy phone list of Senate fence-sitters, flip-floppers, and feckless sellouts.

TOUGHER UNCOMMITTED TARGETS
– CAN YOU PERSUADE THEM?

Your first and most important phone calls are to the Senators above.

ACTION: The following list is of Senators who have shown a real proclivity toward amnesty but seem to have remained uncommitted. Under the pressure of the impending November elections, some of these Senators could be persuaded to vote NO.

I would emphasize with them that a controversial bill like this has no business being put inside a Defense bill, regardless of how they may feel about the amnesty itself.

SENATORS WHO ARE CO-SPONSORING THE ‘DREAM’ AMNESTY

Once you have done what you can with phone calls to the Senators on the lists above, you should look through this list to see who is causing all this problem by pushing so hard to give 2 million more permanent work permits to illegal aliens to compete with 22 million American and legal immigrant workers who can’t find a job.

You can reach these through the Switchboard at 202-224-3121 or in our Congress directory (I apologize that this directory is loading sluggishly today).

Give special attention to Boxer, Gillibrand, Lincoln and Mikulski, all of whom are running for re-election in November.

(AR) Lincoln

(CA) Boxer
(CA) Feinstein
(CO) Bennet (not Bennett of Utah)
(CO) Udall (not Udall of New Mexico)
(CT) Dodd

(HI) Akaka
(HI) Inouye

(IL) Burris

Get to work and melt those phones. Operators are standing by.

Well, for one thing, we’re throwing them out on their butts.

Anyway, as far as KBH is concerned, I burned that bridge long ago when she was thinking about running for governor and trying to defund the border fence. She doesn’t answer my letters anymore.

I see that sometimes Conservative (every six years) John McCain of Arizona is opposed the the Dream Act being in the Defense bill-seems he is somewhat against it since he was fully for it (it that a Flip Flop?)

This is where elections confuse me greatly: Governor Jan Brewer is hugely popular for her stand on border security yet the architect of shamnesty John McCain just won the Republican primary. Yes he spent $21 million (approximately $74.64 per vote) and really smeared his opponent but still I can not see how anyone considering themselves conservative could have voted for the snake. Though the man-snake says he opposed the Dream
Act at the moment I am fairly sure he will find a way to Reach Across the Isle one more time. Karl Rove would approve.

Here’s my situation with my Senators on this latest amnesty:

    1) Both of my Senators, 1 Democrat & 1 Republican, are cosponsors
    2) The Democrat, Evan Bayh, is on his way out (he doesn’t have to give a damn about what I say), and almost every time I’ve called his DC office on other matters, I get a response his voice mail box is full
    3) Because the Republican, Dick Lugar, has supported other amnesty bills in the past (McCain-Kennedy in 2007, for instance), I have little hope he will listen
    4) The same Republican is not up for re-election until 2012, so he can do what he wants and not have to worry about this coming November

My aim is to contact Senator Lugar’s office (contacting Senator Bayh is a waste of time), but sadly on my end, I see little chance Lugar will vote NO on the amnesty.

Black unemployed or underemployed citizens, this post is for you. Who is it that is promoting illegal alien importation which has decimated the manual labor market pricing structure over the last 2 decades? Why are there no entry level jobs in manual labor markets? Why did the oyster schucking business on the east coast go from all black to all mexican in less than 5 years? Why did the roofing industry go to almost exclusively mexican, or the meat packing industry, or the carpet laying industry, or the …? Mexicans are the next best thing to slaves, and blacks are the group being priced out of the work market, yet blacks continue to blindly support democrats who are destroying their futures.
