New Scapegoat for a Lousy Economy: Fox News is Hogging All the Success

It’s no secret that Team Obama loathes Fox News, but this spin is “zero sum game” theory at its most desperate and laughable.
From a Rolling Stone interview:
I think Fox is part of that tradition — it is part of the tradition that has a very clear, undeniable point of view. It’s a point of view that I disagree with. It’s a point of view that I think is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world. But as an economic enterprise, it’s been wildly successful. And I suspect that if you ask Mr. Murdoch what his number-one concern is, it’s that Fox is very successful.
Yeah, a company thriving in spite of a lousy economy does tend to drag down overall economic growth. How are regular Americans supposed to succeed and how is America supposed to move forward and be competitive in the world with Fox News holding it back in such a way?
But on the other side of the coin, most of the Hope-Puppet media outlets with a point of view Obama agrees with are in a slow financial swirl down the toilet, if not already out in the septic tank, and they don’t exactly seem to have stimulated the economy either, so I’m confused.
Don’t worry Mr. President — even though Fox News is succeeding, the country continues to resemble CNN more and more each day. As a matter of fact, if America’s economy had a face, right now it would look like Larry King.

The more I hear Obama I appreciate Bush who never blamed others for what was happening. Though there was much blame to go around for the economic collapse. Wouldn’t you think that most citizens are acutely aware of how moronic OBambi and crew are when they come out with such utter crap? That’s assuming that many of his “followers” even hear the foolishness.
I think Obama is losing it. I have been expected to see some fight in him. Instead he resorts to childish comments. He can not win a battle with Fox. He now is only giving them more fodder. When the Lame stream comments, it will only drive more people to Fox to see what they are missing.
Now it seems Obama may have lost control of the FBI. Is the military next. He is sitting on a slim branch, too far from the main trunk. Its about to break.
As a network, Fox rates 4th in total weekly viewership. Sounds like he’s grasping at straws again. Of course FNC is doing much better than CNN or the other news/financial channels, but they still only have a tiny audience compared to the total population. There are plenty of viewers out there, CNN/MSNBC/CNBC et al just have a lousy message and a reputation for….. creative…. interpretation of the facts.
Well, Californians anyway – it looks like they’re also going to re-select Gov. Moonbeam. Most of the rest of the electorate seem to have regained their sanity to one degree or another, although I’m not sure about Nevada and O’Donnell is still behind.
This is how The One Who Will Unite This Country (also formerly known as “He Who Walks Behind the Rows”) resists “the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long”—by embracing partisanship and pettiness and immaturity regarding those who disagree with him.

Seriously, the libs can’t stand that they no longer hold a monopoly on the news – and, therefore, what the people see and hear and how it is interpreted for them. Obama once described Fox as “dedicated to attacking” him – because they dare to question or criticize? There were plenty of people twice as “dedicated to attacking” Bush, but did you ever hear him waa-waaaing about it? No, you did not. Frankly, I wish Bush had said more in his own defense during his presidency, without passing the buck to the previous President or blaming media bias for slanting their stories against him. But Obama is not defending himself; he is playing the blame game.

That seems to be the key to Obama’s thinking. If you’re not part of the liberal elite and you’re making money, you must be evil. You’re success must have come at the expense of others more deserving. If Fox is successful, it must be because it is stealing viewers from MSNBC. It can’t be that it offers a better product.
Obama’s always wants to punish the producer and reward the moocher. It’s as if he believes it is better to be a tic on the hind end of society than to be a successful citizen pulling your own weight.
It would seem that he thinks so, which makes it even more interesting that the prospect doesn’t seem to concern him given his dedication to helping the poor, and all.
I’ll bet Jann Wenner’s number-one concern is that Wenner Media is very successful. How else can he continue to afford the grand country estate and townhouse he flops at?
I thought Bush did it? Is he Ole’ George off the hook now?

Rupert Murdoch, as Obama has astutely pointed out, is motivated by profits and so Fox News is “wildly” profitable.
On the other hand, the Hope-Puppet media is motivated by civic duty, not profits and so are “wildly” unprofitable.
That is why Team Obama is trying to tax profits to extinction. It would leave us all with more time to attend to our civic duties.

How can Obama and the Dems inform American voters that there are dozens of other news sources besides Fox News? No wonder voters can’t grasp the simplest of economic concepts like “borrowing your way out of debt” and “spending your way out of a spending problem”. Fox squelches the reporting of such important information. The vast right wing conspiracy is vast indeed.

Fox News was just fine with Obama when it was just one of the news stations and Obama thought CNN and MSNBC was kicking butt. However, now the fact that this right-leaning, truth-telling cable news outlet is WILDLY successful really sticks in his craw. That is the bottom line. HOW DARE FOX be so successful? HOW DARE the people watch FOX… in defiance of teh One?? Don’t they know that the only truth is what the dicktator-in-chief tells them? Obama simply cannot fathom a news station that goes against his agenda on a daily basis and people actually want to watch that. He also cannot fathom why he hasn’t the power to shut it down. His next step? Throwing himself on the floor and holding his breath until his blue lips turn purple. Ignore him…that is what I do when my grandkids pull that crap.

The vibrant middle class this communist speaks of was lost to the vibrant socialist doctrines of tax the producers, give to the lazy, and write laws and regulations to punish any form of proletariat freedom. This is why childrens lemonade stands are taxed, and McDonalds is villified and taxed as the latest “EVIL” destroying our nation. First it was Booze, then it was cigarettes, now it is food. Anything which makes a profit(like big oil and insurance) must be destroyed and replaced with government programs which then will receive 95% voter approval like Iran.
