Tea Party in Mayberry

Long before Andy Griffith shilled for Obamacare in an ad you paid for, Ron Howard starred with Griffith in a 2008 campaign video dedicated to telling everyone how much Hope & Change was needed in order to save the country.

In the spirit of equal Howard family time, below is a short video from Heritage Action called “Obama Tax Hikes” in which Ron Howard’s brother, Clint, strikes a blow for the rebellion.

Clint occasionally appeared on the Andy Griffith Show as “Leon,” so I’m going to consider this ad to be the beginnings of a Tea Party in Mayberry:

I think I know which Howard brother will have bragging rights at the Thanksgiving table this year.

Update: I’d forgotten about this little Obamacare/Mayberry skit I put together back when Andy Griffith starting pitching the health care law — I’ll have to figure out how to incorporate Clint:

Andy Griffith was (Emphasized..WAS) a national treasure.

He has thrown away almost all good will and warm feelings the overwhelmingly vast majority of Middle America had for him..by being bought off to support this disaster.

Tax payers paid $700,000 for this ad with Andy selling Obamacare to seniors.

Truly, it turns my stomach watching the old coot saying “You’re a gettin Guaranteed benefits, free this, and a free that, and more good things are a commin. I think your a gonna like it!.”

In the end, it will be seniors that are most adversely affected by the Obamacare travesty.

Knowing Griffith is such a liberal dunce makes it hard to watch the old reruns of his show. I have a new respect for Clint and hope he puts some whoop ass on Opie at the family get together at Thanksgiving.

Andy Griffith is the perfect example of the brainwashing of America. He has always been “portrayed” as a loveable small town sweet middle America guy, when in truth, he is a progressive socialist, American-destroying pig. So many of these “actors” have been pulling the wool over America’s eyes. I bet even Robert Young was a progressive. How about Beaver? Anyone know? O.K…that was a bit harsh. These are fictional characters, I know. But I am pretty disillusioned by all of my childhood favorites.

Unlike millions of seniors, Andy will never have to face the limitations and restrictions this bill will place on everybody else. I have lost all respect I ever had for him. Had he remained in the closet the nation would have mourned his passing. Now, he’s just another old lib that may even prompt cheers when he’s gone.

It’s interesting that Griffith has become such a shill. Many aren’t aware of a 1957 movie (A Face in the Crowd) in which he starred. Here’s an excerpt from Wikipedia:

In 1957 Griffith starred in the film A Face in the Crowd. Although he plays a “country boy”, this “country boy” is manipulative and power-hungry, a drifter who becomes a television host and uses his show as a gateway to political power. Co-starring Patricia Neal, Walter Matthau, Tony Franciosa, and Lee Remick (in her film début), this now-classic film, directed by Elia Kazan, showcases Griffith’s powerful talents in his debut film role. (emphasis added)

I hope Griffith ends up like his character, Lonesome Rhodes.

I never forgave Opie for abducting all of those retirees from The Villages in Cocoon. That probably led to the election debacle in 2000.

I never had any respect for Andy. He only gave Barney one bullet and made him carry it in his pocket. If he really cared he’d have given him a job more appropriate to his abilities, like being a landlord or something.

Ok, I’m done mixing fact and fiction now.

Andy needs to be shilling for Poligrip or one of those places where you get a set of dentures for a hundred bucks. When he speaks, it sounds like he having a little trouble keepin’em in. False teeth – falsehoods. He’s not too good with either one.

Sadly, when he speaks, he practically drools. He is too old for this stuff. Put him in the home and assign diaper detail.

Having seen Griffith’s latest ad touting all the ObaMedicare “freebies” that the seniors are “gonna like,” I now flip right through “Andy Griffith” reruns. I never watched “Matlock” to begin with, but I flip right through t hose, too. Crazy old fart, sitting there looking like a baby bird, spewing Leftist bilge…makes me sick.

You GO, Clint Howard. Good job!

Andy’s speech impediment is due to a stroke so that’s not to be made fun of. Of course, liberalism is a mental illness so maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on him for that either.

Seriously, there’s something about being an artistic type that causes most of them to be liberals. It must be a left-brain, right-brain thing. You can’t boycott liberal actors unless you give up movies entirely. Even if the star is one of those rare Hollywood conservatives, Danny Glover or somebody like that will pop up in a supporting role. There are a few I won’t watch like Will Geer or Jane Fonda and a couple others but I have to give the majority of them a pass or I’d almost never be able to see a good movie.
