Bye bye Barney: Bielat has momentum. Help keep it going!

By Michelle Malkin  •  October 12, 2010 10:36 PM

On August 30, before many others jumped in, I was proud to endorse GOP congressional candidate Sean Bielat, who is challenging entrenched corruptocrat Barney Frank in Massachusetts.

Marine/businessman/father Bielat has gained immense traction since then and it has been thrilling to watch Frank sweat. The 29-year Democrat incumbent is now whining about a “national coalition of right-wing forces” lining up against him. All together now: Boo-freaking-hoo.

Bielat faced off with Frank in their first and only televised debate. Boston’s NPR headline says it all:

Challenger Bielat Holds His Own Against U.S. Rep. Frank

Retire Barney Frank. Keep the heat on. Send him a Kleenex and, more importantly, send Bielat more of your support.

Donate to the Bye Bye Barney! money bomb now.

Remember: The ballot box is the ultimate sanitizer. America has had enough of Barney Frank’s germs.

We can’t let Barney win again! This is our chance to retire Barney NOW!

    - Sean Bielat is a strong candidate.

    - Scott Brown’s election proved Massachusetts is ready for change.

    - Barney’s role in the housing meltdown is still relatively recent news.

    - Obama-Pelosi-Reid have created a perfect storm for a Republican tidal wave in the House and the Senate.

    - The recession has given voters an incentive to pay closer attention to this election.

    - The Tea Party movement is activating volunteers.

    - Since this is not a Presidential election year, the turnout is likely to be lower which will work in Sean Bielat’s favor.

    - The media is giving Sean Bielat relatively good coverage.

    - Barney clearly wasn’t expecting a serious challenge in this election, so he is not prepared to run a full campaign. After this scare, Barney is not likely to make that mistake again.

If we don’t retire Barney in 2010, when will we have another chance like this?

We need to make the most of this opportunity to VOTE BARNEY FRANK OUT OF OFFICE NOW!

Oops! Rep. Barney Frank is going to have another problem to deal with in the morning.

The Boston Herald just posted this article:

Frank, who’s facing feisty Republican challenger Sean Bielat, flew to the tropical paradise for a vacation in 2009 on a $25 million jet owned by Paloma Partners honcho S. Donald Sussman, the fiance of U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine). Paloma Securities — a subsidiary of Sussman’s Greenwich, Conn.-based hedge fund — received $200 million in 2009 as part of the $180 billion federal bailout of troubled insurance giant AIG, records show.

I know we like to pick on her because it is so easy but expand that opinion to the majority of our elected politicians. It’s not much of a stretch. The difference between Frank and Waters is that Frank has the advantage of being one of the prime architects of this mess and can babble more articulately. Waters is clueless and can only see victims while faling grasp the hypocrisy that she and her husband are among the most crooked of all bankers who profited on exactly what she is attacking “the man” for.

You know, I just don’t see much news coverage explaining what just happened on the foreclosure crisis. This is a fundamental crisis that could undermine the very viability of owning real estate and and it boils down to this:

We need clear title to property. But during this massive rush to foreclose so many properties quickly, we are finding that the ability to produce clear title on many, if not most, of these mortgages cannot be done without cheating. A big part of the problem is that mortgages were split into tranches and traded as securities.

You cannot get a mortgage without mortgage insurance. If you are a mortgage insurer and you can no longer rely on the protection of the law, would you be issuing mortgage insurance? Fundamental problem that goes right to the core of capitalism. The protection provided by constitutional law.

Think about that for a while. The very foundation of home ownership is at risk here. It took a corrupt one-party system to create this problem and we are about to let half of that party regain control of the House without a plan (again).

Look at it another way. Even if you don’t have a mortgage and now want to sell your house, you cannot produce a title that any title insurance provider would insure because you can’t prove that the several tranches that your mortgage was spit into and then securitized and sold and resold to different owners. So no bank will issue a mortgage to your buyer.

Your only hope might be to find a buyer who will pay in cash despite the title problem. Do you think you will get a good price? Do think such a housing market would be robust? Welcome to post-constitutional life in a banana republic.

I am arguing that the deadbeats who are not paying their mortgages should not somehow be the beneficiaries of someone breaking the law (not having proper legal papers). We have known about this for 2 years, and now this is an issue? Come on. The problem stems from California greed. People used their houses like ATM machine and refinanced mortgages tax free. Barney was heavily involved in the politicizing of those ill-fated mortgage loans.

It’s worse for Barney than that. It was his Fannie/Freddie that took on the role of central bookkeeper on those mortgage-backed securities to guarantee an accounting trail for who owns the mortgage and this was mostly e-file documents that are now lost.

So as bad as the banks were in this, it’s Fannie/Freddie that was the lynch pin that failed and that caused the entire system to fail with it.

We really don’t know how widespread the corruption is in DC and so should not be sqeamish in voting out as many incumbents as we can.

This also sheds some light as to why the Senate tried to pass, with “unanimous consent” and bypassing all regular procedure, another midnight vampire bill to circumvent head off what is now coming to light publicly. Their solution would have forced the courts ruling on these foreclosures in one state to automatically accept documents (fraudulent we have now discovered) notarized in other states.

Frank is a blatant liar. Last time I looked, You Tube still a vid. with him and Maxine Waters stating Fannie Mae was solvent and there was nothing at all to fret about. Maxine was, of course, tossing around charges of “racism,” too. In addition, Bush proposed fixing both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but got practically no support from either side of the aisle. Frankendodd should be a Halloween mask this year.

Just donated to the Bielat campaign. Let’s hope he joins Scott Brown in January 2011.

Here is the link to the video of Rep. Barney Frank, Rep. Maxine Waters and other Democrats denying the problems at Freddie and Fannie.

Every American should watch this video before they vote!

Vote Barney Frank and Maxine Waters OUT OF OFFICE!

Is it impolite to mention the name Steven Gobie and the parking tickets that Barney Frank took care of for his friend?
