Smearing Ken Buck
Pathetic.
Progressive attack dogs are trying desperately to drag Colorado GOP Senate candidate Ken Buck’s name through the mud. They will only end up with the indelible smell of dog crap on their own hands.
The non-issue: Buck’s decision not to prosecute a five-year-old alleged rape case for lack of evidence.
Responsible district attorneys have to make tough decisions like these all the time. Since even the Huffington Post was forced to acknowledge that such prosecutorial calculations are “not entirely rare with such delicate cases,” the best they can do is accuse Buck of “insensitivity.” The lefties then contradict themselves by attacking Buck for sensitively and sensibly advising the accuser of the consequences of moving forward and going public given the ambiguities of her case:
“[W]hen you describe yourself as “bedfellows,” as you did indicate that you were “bedfellows,” it’s hard to convince a Weld County jury that this wasn’t consensual, when that is your label,” he said. “So there are those kinds of factors. This office doesn’t believe in blaming the victim for the conduct of the case, but we do have to take into account what a Weld County jury sees in the relationship. You had consumed a lot of alcohol. You had a prior relationship … According to him, you were naked from the top up when he came into the bedroom. So, there are enough indicators or indications that, in my opinion, make this impossible to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.”
At another moment in the conversation, Buck urged the woman not to seek alternate legal remedies, floating the possibility of painful press coverage as a discouragement.
“Be aware of something, if this, if you file this motion, it will be very public, publicly covered event. There are a lot of things that I have a knowledge of, that I would assume [redacted] knows about and that they have to do with, perhaps, your motives for [unintelligible] and that is part of what our calculation has been in this.”
Buck made clear that his office was committed to prosecuting date rape crimes — and made clear that he didn’t want victims to be deterred from coming forward because of one weak case.
Note well: The accuser, who decided not to move forward on the allegations, did not initiate this attack on Buck. ProgressNow of Colorado hunted her down and is crowing about it:
“We tracked her down,” said Forseth. “She wasn’t looking to get this out there. But we managed to find her … I just wanted to see what the actual case was. I wanted to hear her side and see what the case was.”
Voters in Colorado should treat this bottom-of-the-barrel attack the same way voters in New Mexico treated a similar attack on GOP gubernatorial candidate and district attorney Susana Martinez: With utter contempt.
When radical progressives attempt to paint conservative candidates with proven prosecutorial records as soft on crime, the laughable Left will always lose. Always.

What a stupid headline from Politico: “Rape case haunts Buck in Colorado.”
The only thing ghoulish about this story is the willingness of the Left to exploit the young woman and splash the graphic details of her police report in public in a failed attempt to humiliate Buck.
If this is how they think they’re going to win over women voters, they’re even more delusional than I thought.

But the ‘politicizing’ of a date rape claim will very likely deter future victims from coming forward. Nice going, ProgressNow.
Hell, they smear everybody. Why should Buck be excluded?
Attack attack attack. That is all they have left!! Just look at the junk they are resorting to! Wow!! Their tactics are so vile and disgusting, I pray the citizens of this great country are seeing regressives for what they really are! Some will be taken in by this stuff. They are hopeless and not worth worrying about. Some people will be sucked in by just about anything. But most of us see this for what it is, and it is pathetic. The regressives don’t even mind looking pathetic to the rest of the world! That is true desparation.
Conservatives try to win elections, Democrats try to destroy their opponents. That’s all they ever have. Conservatives can run on principle and ideas, but liberals have to hide theirs. That only leaves personal attacks.
Their political motives are hardly petty to them. Nothing is below them in seeking and holding political power. Every victim is a worthy sacrifice to advance their cause.
So how many times did that boy cry wolf before he was ignored?
Mike Tyson’s accuser Desiree Washington wasn’t prosecuted for lying under oath and neither was the Duke Lacrose players’ accuser for lying. Women never get penalized for bringing false charges. It’s a heads I win, tails you lose type of scenario and all it takes is a women to say ‘I refused but he didn’t stop’.
Cornered wounded vicious animals…. just wait to see how they behave after a number of them have been booted.
Where is NOW on this topic? Someone get a microphone in the face of Terry O’Neill and ask her if this victim hunt is kosher with the rest of the members of her organization.
Or is it just the crickets chirping response once more?
As November 2 draws closer I fully expect to see literal melt downs from the Socialist Democrats. It is after Nov 2 till Jan that worries me because these vermin are capable and quite willing to do anything that takes a torch to what’s left of our country. The Repubs better have a plan to thwart these actions as soon as they are sworn in. November and December are going to be very dangerous times for our country.

Weren’t these the same people that fought for, and had laws passed, so rape victims would not have to go through a similar public humiliation during their trial?

RedDog: The Democrats would lack drive if they came to Canada to impose their communist-style regime. We already have communism and our health care system is public only. Private health care is against the law. Prostitution is legal, so is gambling, medical marijuana and ‘weed shops’ flourish on the west coast etc. There is nothing left for them to accommplish.
So the left has stooped to stalking alleged rape victims. That there’s “Change you can believe in”.
If Mr. Buck had gone forward with a rape case that was lacking evidence, he would’ve gotten an earful from the judge who would’ve asked him why he was wasting the court’s time. Liberalism is truly a mental disorder!
It’s still the economy stupid. People dont give a rat’s hairy butt about this type of stuff. It just reeks of desperation. “Progressives” (lmao, a misnomer if I ever heard one) have NOTHING to campaign on, so they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. At this point I think the electorate would vote in a serial killer, if his policies led to the creation of 200,000 new jobs a month.
Actually the meltdown is already underway. Yet to be determined as to whether it will be an implosion taking them out or an explosion in a vain attempt to take as many as possible with them on or around or shortly after election day.
Oh come on 123….I assume there’s still plenty of private businesses they can destroy and/or nationalize. They will never be happy until they realize the “utopia” that is Venezuela and Cuba.

Day after day, more and more of this crap is hitting the media. Accusations that are based on fallacy, fantasy, or simply made up out of thin air.
Conservatives can use the blogs to hammer out the truth all they want, but when it comes down to it, it’s the morons who do nothing but sit in front of the TV and let the MSM tell them what is right and wrong who will be the majority of the voting population.
Until the MSM is eradicated and it’s inner core stuffed in a tiny jail cell in a forgotten hole in the ground, the brainwashed masses will continue to do exactly as they are told, and no amount of blog posting hard and fast evidence will change that.

Although there is enough in the defendant’s statements to convict, why put the victim through the trauma of a trial when there is a good possibility of a jury being unwilling to convict the defendant of rape?
