Hail Mary Time: Slurpee Out, Latte In

By Doug Powers  •  October 18, 2010 09:20 AM

**Written by Doug Powers

President Obama had used his “Republicans drinking Slurpees” line at least 25 times, and that doesn’t seem to have given the Democrats much momentum.

Time to switch drinks:

null

I think I see the strategy here. “Slurpee” sounds too working class, but “latte” sounds foo-foo richy-rich. And when you think foo-foo richy rich, who do you think of? That’s right: John Kerry.

Back to the drawing board, Mr. President.

The “drinking latte” thing has political roots in the 2008 primary season, except then it was used against Obama. When Obama was running against Hillary Clinton, a Clinton supporter and president of the machinists’ union referred to Obama’s supporters as a “latte-drinking, Prius-driving, Birkenstock-wearing, trust fund babies.”

Now it’s really time to go back to the drawing board.

Indeed. Obama and the Evil Empire of Global Communism will see their grand plans destroyed on November 2nd.

Two years ago, Obama marketed himself as “A New Hope”.

Now he can only lament as “The Empire Strikes Back”.

Well, the truth is 180 degrees from what Obama says.

The Communists are the “Evil Empire” (as President Ronald Reagan duly noted), and Conservatives are “A New Hope”.

But the Communists will never stop speaking of Capitalism as “Imperialistic” and an “Empire” that they want to bring to its knees.

With Marxism-Leninism guiding our actions, the Communist Party strives to build the broadest unity against global capitalist imperialism now headed by U.S. imperialism

    - Constitution of the Communist Party USA

But my journey is part of a larger journey – one shared by all who’ve ever sought to apply the values of their faith to our society. It’s a journey that takes us back to our nation’s founding, when none other than a UCC church inspired the Boston Tea Party and helped bring an Empire to its knees.

The story linked above has this comment about what “slurpee” can also mean. Think vulgar, folks.
Given that the left is given to referring to we the people using sexual vulgarities (teabagger), there could be some truth to that theory.

I missed all the Slurpee comments. What does that even mean, do they still sell those? I haven’t had one for at least 30 years. But somehow that’s the preferred drink of conservatives? Pretty bizarre analogy I don’t think anyone gets, even his Kool-Aid drinking followers (which actually has a meaning most people know).

Odd, I would have thought that described Hillary’s supporters, not Obama’s borscht-slurping, Israel-hating, capitalism-killing, terrorism-sympathizing supporters. The few who are left.

You do know that the sweetener is toxic by the way? I use to use it but have since gone natural, just honey when necessary. Those artificial sweeteners approved by the corrupt FDA will kill you eventually but not before you produce two-headed offspring. Don’t even get me started on aspartame.
