Harry Reid: But for Me, We’d Be in a Worldwide Depression

By Doug Powers  •  October 21, 2010 11:26 PM

**Written by Doug Powers

Sharron Angle has more than once told Harry Reid to “man up,” but this is overdoing it just a bit. Yeah, he actually said it: “But for me, we’d be in a worldwide depression.”

If Harry Reid hadn’t agressively pursued his patriotic constitutional duty of spending as much money as possible, the world would be in a bread line as we speak.

Somehow acting as Barack Obama’s rubber stamp in adding as much new debt in less than two years — $3 trillion at last check — an amount that took from 1776 to 1990 to accumulate, saved the world.

Reid wants everybody to believe that he’s Bruce Willis in Armageddon, when in fact it’s now common knowledge that he’s been nothing but the asteroid for far too long. Nice try, Harry:

I, for one, am eternally grateful for Senator Reid’s exceptionally poor leadership, which will play no small role in helping to foment the coming political cataclysm for the (un)democratic party. His remarkable incompetence will hopefully play a major role in forcing the retreat of socialism for a generation, or better yet, for forever.

Harry Reid… but for his improper use of the Byrd reconciliation rule, Obamacare would not have become law.

Robert Byrd had specifically spoken out against using “reconciliation” to ram through changes to health care
    …back during the Clinton administration.

This time around, Byrd was on his deathbed, and too senile to understand what was going on.

After the election of Scott Brown, Democrats could not get get past a filibuster/cloture vote in the Senate, and the House was unwilling to accept the Senate Health Care bill as it was. The only way this monstrosity passed was by coupling it with a “changes” bill that improperly used the “Byrd Rule” (reconciliation).

    Thanks for nothing, Harry Reid.

Liberal group uses illegals to doorbell for Patty Murray in WA ST:

The 42-year-old is one of dozens of volunteers — many of them illegal immigrants — canvassing neighborhoods in the Seattle area trying to get naturalized citizens to cast a ballot for candidates like Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, who is in a neck-to-neck race with Republican Dino Rossi.

The only problem is I doubt that Rossi will use the information in any way. He just does not have it in him to go on the attack. This is the second big news story to come out about Patty Murray. The first being that she told a class of students in Vancouver (near the Oregon border) that Bin Laden was building day care centers in Afghanistan and that is why the Afghanis liked him so much. Here is the quote from Murray:

“He’s been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day-care facilities, building health-care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. He’s made their lives better.”

The sad news is that once the Democratic Socialists lose power, they will do everything in their power to actually bring about a worldwide depression, so that they can say, “See! See what happens when the Republicans are in control?!”

Count on it. Food prices are already going up. Gas prices are already going up.

We can be thankful for a Republican landslide on November 2nd, but there really isn’t much to “celebrate”… we have a tough road ahead of us…

But at least we will be on the road to replacing the corruptocrats with people who actually believe in God, believe in American exceptionalism, and want America to WIN!

Well, just like the Chamber of Commerce, we don’t agree on EVERYTHING. However, they are working on winning the election right now and that is what I am focusing on also. Will I donate again? Probably not.

We need to focus on winning this election. If we don’t, we are done.

I want to know more about how Reid made his millions while on a “fixed income”. I want to know about the land on the Arizona border that he sold because the bridge (his own earmark) was built to connect the states. As Morris said, the value of that land increased 10 fold. We need to investigate the likes of Reid, Pelosi, Obama and Frank for the personal benefits they made because of their positions as “public servants”.

Man up GOP, and start the process of uncovering the dirt.

I think I understand what Obama’s pet meant by that statement. If Harry had not been willing to sacrifice his Senate career on an alter to Obama, we would be looking at another 6 years of worldwide depression. The prospect of Harry losing this election has given the world renewed hope and snapped us out of a deeply depressed mood. I suppose he wants us to thank him for that.
