Barney Frank Brings in the, uh, Big Guns

Years ago there was a joke (at least I think it was a joke) that Michael Dukakis was earning a handsome income in his post-political life because Democrats were paying him small fortunes not to endorse them, but times, not to mention levels of desperation, change.
This is probably the best news Sean Bielat has heard all week:
In a last-minute move of desperation, Barney Frank called in former governor and presidential-nominee, Michael Dukakis, to help him rally support…amongst his base in the liberal town of Brookline (well, maybe not so liberal anymore). Finding a Barney Frank event these days is harder to do than one might think. Despite the fact that Frank is truly fighting the reelection campaign of his life to republican challenger Sean Bielat, he’s staying peculiarly quiet and randomly popping up at small events amongst democrats.
Why Dukakis? Because Walter Mondale was unavailable.
Just listen to the energy Dukakis brings to a “blame Bush” (aka “get out the vote for Barney”) semi-rally:
A half-dozen Brookline residents are now convinced to not vote for Bush again.

Barney needs to go to Fire Island (with the old age fairy ferry discount) and relax. Permanently.
Americans have a short memory? Yes Governor I am trying to forget the Dukakis jokes. Michael Dukakis-still mumbling after all these years.
Seize the narrative my fellow patriots….. No more unaccountable political confiscation of private property and tax dollars. We don’t need to call these people names, we need to expose the criminality of their actions and tie their names to those actions… constantly, persistently. But there must be a collective, concerted action on the part of all Conservative leaders and citizens. Maintain then build the pressure.
Once the working American public understands it and agrees to act, we can push for a limited, balanced budget amendment, and fair tax structure. Then we will have crippled the statist agenda permanently. Going forward, there will be no need to fret over anything but the social battles.
There are so many horrible excuses for human beings who are up for re-election. I have been praying that they ALL lose their jobs. They are in positions of true power and that is where they NEVER should have been in the first place. How did we ever vote for these dimwits? Tuesday night will be SO interesting and entertaining. We will win some and lose some. BUT, if we just get rid of Bawney Fwank, I will be in heaven!! What a disgusting piece of trash and I am not referring to his gay lifestyle!!
I was listening to Meet the Depressed this a.m. It is interesting to hear the left point of view…when it is done in a reasonable fashion, not like Ed Schultz, K. Oberdope or Chrissie Matthews. Tom Brokow was saying that people are not going to stand for the Obamacare bill to be repealed because they won’t want to give up the perks, like being on your parent’s insurance until age 26, and the pre-existing condition clause. Unbelievble…they are already talking about the few items in the bill that are decent and NOT the 2,700 other pages of junk and socialism. AND, getting angry over “losing” the good stuff is kinda like over in France where they are burning cars and destroying businesses because of raising the retirement age to 62. They forget that the retirement age WAS 65, then reduced to 60, and now is back up to 62. That is the whole point here…once you give these entitlements, they won’t let you take them away without a fight. Even the entitlements that have only been law for a few months. All of a sudden, they are etched in stone and God help you if you try to take them away. Obama, Pelosi and Reid know that very well. That is why they were so desparate to get the bill passed. They know their low-life, lazy, socialist constituants and they know that once something is a law, don’t even try to get it repealed or even change it! This is going to be a very hard fight!
The idiot libs keep bringing up the “keeping kids on parents insurance until 26.” Uh, can I mention that I think that is absolutely PATHETIC that that is somehow considered a good thing. What kind of pathetic 26 year old man is still unemployued and living off his parents insurance? That’s pathetic!
Stupid nazi pelosi says that “people should take their time to figure out what they want to do, and can stay on… until 26.”

It was great to see Barney Frank in Congress on T.V. a few years ago as he lauded his great work on setting up the “enhanced” Community “Reinvestment” Act. He is on video stating that no changes were needed to prevent possible future problems. He stated that all was O.K. and working well to provide affordable (gubmint backed) home loans to all–regardless of their ability to pay the loans. And regardless of citizenship or invalid Social Security numbers. And without wasting any valuable gubmint time checking out the accuracy of their loan applications!

And his good work gave us the Fannie May and Freddie Mack disasters that crashed the economy in 2008. And gave us Comrade Obama (PBUH) to “fix” everything.

If old “grabby hands” loses the Brookline Jewish vote, he is finished. It is refreshing to learn that there is such a thing as the Jewish Republican Coalition.
Hate to disagree with you, but there is NOTHING that is good about this bill. It’s not-so-hidden purpose is to take over 1/6th of our economy and have the power of life and death over every one of us.
Why is coverage of “children” to age 26 a good thing? In a normal world, the “child” would be employed and get his own insurance. Also, forcing companies to insure people with pre-existing conditions isn’t insurance; it’s welfare that we the taxpayers are compelled to pay. Plus insurance companies already do that. They have high-risk pools that charge people higher rates.
Health insurance isn’t a right. It’s a service that one chooses to buy or not. And if people are too poor to buy it, they supposedly have Medicaid as well as charitable hospitals and health services.
Beyond that, if we didn’t have to give free on-demand health care to the 11-20 million illegals in our midst, if tort reform were instituted to end defensive medicine, if insurance could be purchase across state lines, the cost of insurance and health care in general would be a lot cheaper and still the best in the world.
Aside from my previous rant, this article seems to indicate that Barney Frank is not only in trouble, but that he is in some REALLY DEEP TROUBLE! But, Dukakis?! Really?! Man, you know you are in trouble when you can’t even get Walter Mondale!

I'll be with you all the way! Gotta shop for lots of snack food; it's gonna be a long, long night. But it will be fun! In a race that hasn't even been on anyone's radar, Ron Wyden is now only 11 points ahead on Rasmussen (usually the best poll). Coons leads O'Donnel by the same margin. 11 points is striking distance if we can close a bit these last two days and get great turnout. There will likely be a couple nice surprises. I'd love to wave bye-bye to Frank, Reid and Boxer. Pass the popcorn!

Brookline, MA is about 10 or 12 miles from where I live, but it might as well be on another planet politically. Funny thing is, you drive through Moonbatville, and all you see is Sean Bielat everywhere you look. Sean Bielat has run an honorable campaign against arguably the most loathsome member of congress, and I for one will pray that Sean prevails tomorrow. He is, quite simply, the quality of human that Barney Frank could never even hope to be.
