The following e-mail arrived in my mailbox this morning from taxpayer-supported PBS — home of Obama sycophant and drool bucket-carrier David Brooks and Palin-basher/Obama cheerleader Gwen Ifill.
Yep, the government media that has spent the last two years promoting the progressive agenda and sought a $550 million taxpayer bailout to push social justice activism now wants conservative bloggers to help publicize their election night coverage.

Dear PBS: Please buzz off.
We don’t need no stinkin’ state-sponsored media — and we certainly don’t need any Left and Left-er “legendary political columnists” telling us about the grass-roots electoral revolution they’ve ignored, derided, and demonized for the past two years.
Recent: Free the Taxpayers: Defund State-Sponsored Media
Thomas Jefferson famously opined: “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.” NPR and PBS have no problem raising money from corporations and left-wing philanthropists, including billionaire George Soros, whose Open Society Institute just gave $1.8 million to pay for at least 100 journalists at NPR member radio stations in all 50 states over the next three years.
Not one more red cent of public money should go to NPR, PBS and CPB. Let the speech-squelching progressives and jihadi-whitewashing apologists pay for their own propaganda. Free the taxpayers!

That’s the way it is with socialists. Here in CA, over 50% of the budget goes to education. What do they want? More money! Personally, I just wish they’d spend what they get more wisely.

Every once in a great while, as I channel-surf, something on PBS will catch my eye, like an oldies concert, with bands from the 50s or 60s. Or Moody Blues Live from Red Rock, or something like that.
Invariably, it is a telethon. They only air the stuff that I like when they have their hand out. I don’t even take the bait anymore. The local PBS station here (Polynesian Bitch Session) is dropped from my remote.

It wouldn’t have surprised me.
Given how ABC has treated Andrew Breitbart since the news that he too would be on a blogger panel next Tuesday, I wonder if he too should have walked away from the offer. You just get the idea that there is an ambush of some sort in the works.
How about having Breitbart and Michelle sitting right next to the “legendary” duo as equals? You just know that they will get the last word and will choose to frame anything Michelle or other conservative bloggers say as “nutty” or “extreme” and “symptomatic of what ails the GOP and so threatens the nation”.
Errah I may watch just to catch the stammering doochbaggery these two libtard dirt monkeys will provide as they get their aszes handed to them on a plate!
In Canada, we have a PBS sytle network called the CBC – Canadian Broadcasting Corportion. For a population of 34 million, its budget is close to 1 Billion.
I may watch some PBS tomorrow, along with MSNBC and CNN. Why? Hmmm… What’s that word?

Solicitations from PBS here in NY are as frequent (and annoying) as are solicitations from AARP. Frankly, I wouldn’t give either of them a penny. Except for a few decent shows during recruitment drives, as one person commented, the majority of PBS is pure liberal pap – promotion of gay and lesbian agendas and ultra liberal causes. IOW … garbage. Let those who want this crap support it with their checkbooks and leave the rest of us the hell alone.
You should host it and call the link ‘The Meltdown Hour’. It might be fun to watch them implode.
I am seriously hoping for a liberal beat down, so I will have my tv tuned to the liberal MSM. I hope Maddow, Matthews and Olbermann are beside themselves trying to justify why America turned so stupid. I will have the popcorn ready.

Time for NPR and PBS to enter the free market.
David Brooks has written about 150 columns devoted to two themes: The brilliance of Barack Obama and the fact that he, David Brooks, knows Barack Obama and Barack Obama knows David Brooks. When Bernie Goldberg wrote “A Slobbering Love Affair”, he had David Brooks in mind. Brooks is not quite as filled with love for Barack Obama as is Brian Williams. Williams actually bowed to Obama as he (Williams) left the White House. Brooks isn’t that bad, at least not yet. Brooks is content to tell us that Barack Obama graduated from Harvard Law School and ergo Barack is the smartest man alive, or whoever lived, or whoever will live or whoever is yet to be be born.
I fail to see what PBS’s (and NPR’s) problem is. Surely they will have no trouble at all making up for federal funding with contributions from their liberal supporters. LoL
