Time to Play ‘Stump the Super-Intelligent Jon Stewart Rally Crowd’
**Written by Doug Powers
The “Rally to Restore Sanity” crowd on Saturday was loaded with enlightened intellectuals. We know this because people were carrying signs letting the world know that yes, they are in fact enlightened intellectuals:

I was satisfied, because nothing says “I’m really smart” like carrying a sign that says “I’m really smart.”
Others were more skeptical, and decided to ask people who got high scores on their SATs (because they were once seen carrying signs stating they got high scores on their SATs) the following question: “Is President Obama a Keynesian?”
I almost wish that, instead, the interviewer would have reminded them not to forget to vote on November 3rd instead of tripping their hair-trigger anti-birther defense systems over a simple question about economic theory:

It’s just hopeless with millions of similar voters of this staggering level of ignorance. And they count themselves among the educated.
These are the people whose mistakes we are having to undo. While some may be in a celebratory mood, I see this as a grim task that I wish was unnnecessary. If the Donks had done things the right way and gotten us back on the road to recovery, I would tip my hat to them and say, “Well done!” But we know what really happened…
Loved the Prop 19 ending. Hilarious!
Oh, and GIANTS ARE THE WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!! Woo HOOOO!!!!
Sorry, I know: Way Off Topic.
But I’m so excited!
Onion Newsflash! Signs attempt to convey attributes that owner cannot!
That was sooooo beyond funny, what maroons. Keynesian=Economic theory proposed by John Maynard Keynes. Citizens of the nation Kenya are called Kenyan’s.
Can someone provide a transcript? I really don’t want to have to watch/listen to that.
Just ordered my wife’s World Series champs hat and t-shirt for Christmas. Shhh! She doesn’t know!
I tell people Obama got a D in Economics. When they ask how to I know, I just say: “Prove that he didn’t”.
@Mr.P
lol.
We’re on the same page
Wow.
Like Ronald Magnus said,
Sorry, Mr. R., but this group was just a l-i-i-i-t-t-l-e stupid…or, high…or just too tightly wound (like the lady whose voice raised several octaves saying, “What more do you want? He showed you his birth certificate!”)
Heh….
I would say that was beyond funny, but the joke is on us. Ignorance is the common theme among lefties and they brought Obama to the oval office. John Keynes, as stupid as his theories were, must be laughing his grave, of course he fancied himself a genius too.
C’mon, Chap, that’s you in the mask, isn’t it?
They just have temporary Kenyamnesia. They’ll be ok.
So a bunch of smart white* people gathered in DC and words were spoken, that will never be understood.
*playing MSM reporter
Their self-esteems must be in the dumpster to actually carry signs proclaiming their perceived level of intelligence.
How did that decision come about back at the house… {fade to past}…
“Honey, what signs should we carry to the Restore Sanity rally?”
“Hey I know, let’s carry signs telling the bitter clingers that we are smarter than them. That way they’ll know we are more sane. They’ll have to fall in line with us after that.”
“That’s a peach of an idea hon.”
They told me that if the Republicans take over the House, it’s a sign that a significant portion of the population is too stupid to know what they are doing.
And it looks like they were right!
That is funny!
They carry signs claiming they are smart, that they see smart people, and so forth.
Obama attended Occidental College, Columbia University, and Harvard University.
He’s smart.
Of course, he does not act smart.
He continues to employ the same actions which have given the same failed results, time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time again.
As Albert Einstein is occasionally credited with saying, insanity is when you try the same thing that has failed again and again, and expect to have different results, meeting with success.
I know, I’ll run head on into an oncoming train. That will fix the economy.
What? I’m squashed like a bug?
Okay. Let’s try that again.
Splat!
Oh, I’m squashed like a bug again!
Ouch!
Oh well. I’ll try that again.
Splat …
And on and on and on …
I know that leftists-Democrats are smart, because they think Gore and Kerry were smart, and Bush was an idiot.
Bush attended both Yale and Harvard, whereas Gore and Kerry only attended one school each.
Bush’s IQ, aptitutde, and scholastic achievement was superior to Gore and Kerry, yet the leftist elitist snobs errantly think that Gore and Kerry are smart.
They associate them as being intelligent and smart based on their education and their political affiliation.
They make exceptions for Conservatives or Republicans.
An elistist snob with less intelligence, lowewr aptitude, and lower scholastic achievement who attends an elitist school = smart.
A humble, folksy man who is somewhat consevative, Republican, even if he does attend two Ivy League schools and graduates with a Masters Degree in Business, has higher IQ, Aptitude, and College scores, is a dumb, stupid, idiot.
That they associate with a guy who flew fighter jets and protected our nation, while Kerry spend a very short time in the military, lies out the back of his neck, and fraudulently fanagled getting medals, while Gore was merely a photographer and/or “journalist” not anything like Bush – a fighter pilot.
The left denigrates Bush’s dangerous service, but praises Gore and Kerry for their less dangerous and rather phony “service.”
Go figure.
Great logic.

Actually, you do want to watch/listen. It’s hilarious. (Yeah, okay, a little scary since these are the people who cancel out your well-informed vote. Still, it’s fun to watch them make fools of themselves.) Reminds me a lot of the Media Malpractice How Obama Got Elected video.
I always wonder — do the interviewees ever find out they’ve been had afterward? Do any of their friends/relatives/coworkers ever come up to them and say, “Hey, saw you on Youtube making a fool (insert stronger word here) of yourself”?
Heard a clip on the radio this morning of John Stewart proclaiming “This is not a rally to ridicule people of faith.”
In my 50 years, I’ve learned that when people have to proclaim “I’m not going to ridicule _____”, it’s a damn sure thing they’re about to ridicule _____. Or at least 99 and 44/100 percent sure.
Now that we know there are no Keynesians born Hawaii all the world is a better place and the Cable Clowns served the world well.
In the immortal word of Michelle:
HAR!
Somewhere along the way, somebody has to be sure that these “Smart People” are banned from replicating themselves.
Ignorance can be fixed.
Stupid can’t be fixed.
“Smart People” must be removed from the gene pool.
“I don’t know what his economic policies are?”
Really? How odd.
Lemmings of the world unite!
Reminds me of the old Our Gang comedy skit
Woman: “Is he a vegetarian?”
Spanky McFarland: “No, he’s just like me. He’s a Methodist.”
At least, that is what we’ve been told.
Not necessarily.
Actually…actually not.
Professor Terguson: Good answer. Good answer. I like the way you think. I’m gonna be watching you.
Actually, they’ve told us ad nauseum that he is brilliant. His actions have proven that his intelligence is a product of their imaginations.
Go vote!!! I’m on my way to work at the polls for Ed Martin in Missouri. Can’t wait to see him beat Rustler Carhnahan.
For a great look at “How Liberals argue”, watch this little movie:

We’ve also been told that Clinton was the first black president, so why all the fuss when Obozo was inaugurated?
The funny thing about “smart people”. They constantly have to make public declaration that they and their ilk are…otherwise no one else will.
Wish they had a picture of the rear view of the “Liberal-Elitist” sign depicted above…it would continue as:
“…whose panties are in a bunch and will cry, scream and hold my breath until I turn blue. You must agree with me or I will soil myself”.
Comedy gold !
Madison Bumgarner (game 4 winner) is from Hudson, NC, which is just a few miles down the road from where I live in Lenoir. My father coached his American Legion (Post 29) baseball team. Needless to say, there were lots of folks around here who suddenly found themselves Giants fans.
Regarding the sign: “Obama=Keynesian?”–that is just freaking brilliant. It’s just so much like a collectivist brain-pattern to all jump in knee-jerk fashion in assuming that the sign actually said “Kenyan.” I’ve had my laugh for the day.
I heard that during college, Michelle O tried thesbianism.
Hilarious. Nothing like dealing with with people who think they have arrived…. they are all-that. Igorance or stupidity I can tolerate, willful ignorance I will not.
Fabulous pun, thanks!

I didn’t like the World Series outcome–but the best team–the Giants–won it fair and square.
***
But it was great to see Presidents Bush 41, 43, and Nolan Ryan together for the ceremonial first pitch in Game 4. The senior Bush seemed to have trouble walking. But the junior Bush threw a good pitch into Ryan’s glove.
***
To see all you need to know about Comrade Obama–watch the video of His “girlie throw” when He trickled the ball in the dirt during his first pitch! At least the Texans know how to throw–and how to serve in our Military. And they didn’t denigrate their political opponents by calling them enemies.

If they’re so smart, how come they don’t know he wasn’t eligible even if he was born in Hawaii?
His father was a foreign national, he was born a dual citizen, not a natural born citizen.
I guess because they believe the Supreme Court’s take on the matter, rather than those with a political axe to grind.
From Kim Wong Ark:
You go, TigerLady.
I live in a small town, so I voted early. And for such a small town, you wouldn’t believe the turnout.
I don’t think I could bear to see Russ with her makeup running tonight.

The ignorance of the average voter across the entire political spectrum is a major problem indeed. To a greater or lesser degree, it has always been such.
Maybe if the idiot interviewer knew how to pronounce “Keynes” instead of deliberately slurring it to sound more like “Kenyan”, there would not have been so much confusion.
I don’t know, Chap. When you have a group of people actually plastering how smart they are on signs, you have to wonder if maybe they should have been smart enough to get the meaning. And since there was a standing sign with the word spelled out that some of them were pointing to, I just can’t quite swallow that it was the interviewer’s fault.
Were the people in the video plastering how smart they were on signs?
How many people do you think he wasted film on before he was able to find those 3 or 4 that were confused?
Do you think you couldn’t film the exact same thing at a Tea Party rally?
None.
Hahahahahahhahahahaha!
Well that settles it.
Then why haven’t ‘they’? You can’t deny there have been lots of attempts in various media outlets to paint the Tea Partiers as idiots, dorks, you name it. Much like the racial slur “outrage,” why has it never been shown on tape?
You may have a point that no one in the video actually had a sign at the time the video was shot, but we’re both just speculating about the rest.
I would have to conclude that people who feel the need to advertise their “intelligence” would probably be fined under truth in labeling laws if there were a controlling legal authority in this case to do so.
There have been. I have seen these same type of “set up videos” posted on liberal blogs taped from Tea Party rallies.
Is it really so hard to believe that when you gather thousands of ANY type of people together in one place, you are going to get a few stupid things said?
I mean take this blog for example. Would it be fair to just parse out right4life’s posts and consider the whole lot of us certifiably insane based on him?
Alien. His mother was definitely an enemy.
careful there, chap.
Oh I get your point there. I would probably be embarrassed by some folks at a tea party rally.
But to be fair, this was still generally a rally that seemed (at least to me) to predicate itself on being smarter than the ‘other guys,’ so I would have expected that no one should have been able to find even a handful of people quite like this.
That one woman even turned to look at the sign, which cancels your argument that the interviewer’s pronunciation was to blame. Watching a second time it seemed to me they were all in view of the sign.
Alright, we agree there are stupid people on both sides, for sure. But didn’t the vid make you laugh, just a little?
Yes. It did.
I think Obama is actually a Supersized Keynesian if you follow his position that governments should spend money they dont have to stimulate a poor economy. Freidman’s response to Keynes is something everyone should read, assuming they know who Keynes is, of course.
Oh, and some of the funnest aspects of Keynes’ consequences are yet to come! Tomorrow the Fed is said to be poised to purchase some 500 billion of our own securities in what they call “unconventional monetary easing.” Some experts predict inflation as a result and further devaluation of the dollar. Suffice to say, tomorrow will be an interesting day.
Disband the Fed.
The Fed broke up? Aw man, I loved their lead singer…
This reminds me of the guy who went to a leftist rally and asked people if they were in favor of eliminating women’s suffrage. Like here, everybody but one guy(who said something to the effect that it’s OK with him that women can vote) were vehemently in favor of eliminating women’s suffrage; especically the women, of course. What a bunch of maroons these “smart” people are!
The sad thing is these people are allowed to “vote”…no wonder we are in the mess we are in….arggggggggg
