Speaker Pelosi, Please Turn in Your Gavel

Fox News, MSNBC and CNN are now projecting that the GOP will take control of the US House of Representatives.
So who wants to be the one to wrestle that gavel away from Nancy? Should be fun to watch.
Convincing her won’t be easy though:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tonight rejected numerous polls predicting a Republican landslide among House candidates and defiantly predicted that Democrats will retain control of the House of Representatives.
“The early returns and overwhelming number of Democrats who are coming out – we’re on pace to maintain a majority in the House of Representatives,” Pelosi told reporters during a photo op in Washington.
Clearly Pelosi’s going to have some issues to work through with her therapist in the coming weeks.

I’ve been saying for quite some time I think folks are smoking peyote if they think we could get anywhere near 90 – 100 seats or topple any of the iconic figures (to the Left) like Frank. There’s a reason those folks have been in power for decades. The country simply isn’t as “center-right” as so many say, especially in those places where the Franks of the world thrive.
May God make me wrong on this, but I think we need more clarity on where folks are really at in this country and the reality is that we have a generation or two of incipient to outright socialists that need to be evangelized.

John Hawkins is expressing surprise at some of the losses and saying “Wow, we can’t lose these seats or we won’t be able to hit the 70 – 80 seats I predicted!” I’ll be surprised if we hit 65 and joyous for that!

Its not stupidity that gets guys like Hickenlooper and Barny the Dino elected its greed. Many of those in the Denver and Boulder area have no problem with the liberal agenda since they think they will benefit from it. They simply don’t see that stealing from others is wrong so long as they are the ones getting the loot. I wish we could separate that area from the rest of the state and let them fail.

I do not get to come by nearly as much as I would like to lately but I still stop in and read … (I hate doing the seagull thing and commenting and not being able to stick around) … but as a denizen of the Republic of Nevada, I feel the need to explain that Vegas has as many or more people as the rest of the state and a large portion of them are californicated transplants. Thus, it is the source of votes for the likes of Harry Reid and not the good, conservative folks of our Battle Born Republic!
I know it does not change matters but it is unfortunately, the only solace I have to offer in response to such actions.
To be honest, it kind of scares me that the GOP sweep wasn’t more decisive. I live in Congressman-elect Allen West’s district and he won 54% of the vote. That means 46% of the people around me are utter morons.
Actually, that seems about right.
God help us.
Give me that gavel be-atch! And vacate your luxury private jet. And don’t go too far…investigations are on the way. You didn’t just lose your leadership…you are going to jail.
