Make sure to pop the pocorn and buy the biggest Slurpee you can get your hands on. President Obama will hold a post-Election Day press conference tomorrow at 1pm. Via National Journal:

President Obama will hold a White House news conference Wednesday at 1 p.m., to give his first extended reaction to the midterm elections and the bad news they are expected to deliver to Democrats.

With control of the House very much threatened, the president is certain to be pressed on what message he has heard from the voters and how he expects to navigate the new political terrain in Washington with Republicans wielding considerably more power.

Afterwards, the biggest loser-in-chief will flee to Asia:

The press conference comes shortly before the president leaves the country for an extended, four-country tour of Asia, a trip that has White House advisers concerned might leave the domestic stage to the newly triumphant Republicans.

As Doug Powers noted last month, “The most dangerous place to be standing just after the November election will be between President Obama and the nation’s emergency exit doorway.”

The talk of Obama “shaking up his inner circle” is rubbish. He can no more disown his inner circle than he can disown his wife, his TOTUS, and his own tarnished halo.
