Rand Paul ushers in the Tea Party tidal wave; Rubio: Repubs get a second chance
KY GOP Senator-elect Rand Paul just finished delivering a fantastic victory speech focusing on fiscal responsibility, the Tea Party tidal wave, restoration of the Constitution, and American exceptionalism.
“America is exceptional, but not inherently so. America is exceptional because we embraced freedom.”
Paul assailed dependence on government, asserted that prosperity is created by individuals, not Washington.
He said he would challenge his colleagues to contemplate: “Do we believe in the individual or do we believe in the State?”
As he wrapped up his speech, reality set in at liberal NBC News — which projected that “Republicans will win control of the U.S. House by a wide margin.” Fox soon followed suit.
Cue the dirge music for Speaker Mop and Glow.

Tea Party insurgent and GOP Sen.-elect Marco Rubio: “This is a second chance for Republicans to be what they said they were going to be.”
Don’t blow it, Republicans. We’re watching.

I had the honor and privilege of voting for Rand Paul today. God Bless the Tea Party Movement and God Bless America.
*We’ll ride that horse, but only if it’s going in the right direction; If not, all bets are off and the Tea Party rules!
When the tea party spotted Marco and joined up with his campaign, he was 30 down in the polls to Crist. We knew Marco was a gem from the start.
And now he wins.
Do us Floridians get to take out the the ‘duh’ for our hard work?
Not sure if the RNC is paying attention. The RNC is not paying attention. It is a marathon, not a sprint. The GOP didn’t listen in 2006, and I have little reason to think they’re listening now. But at least with Rubio, Paul and maybe Angle…DeMint will have some help.
Amen on watching the GOP. Hold their feet to the fire. We cannot blow this chance and 2012 is just around the corner.
Maybe in 2012, when Bill Nelson gets put out to pasture.
Yes, Senator Marco Rubio IS a gem. I predicted over a year ago that Senator Rubio was destined for big things and would some day be POTUS. MARK.MY.WORDS. I stand by that prediction. He is a solid winner, as charismatic as John-John Kennedy, who would have probably become POTUS if he hadn’t died.
Pence/Rubio 2012
Rubio/? 2016
Pence is damaged goods. His support for a “shield law” for prevaricating journalists makes me want nothing to do with him.
(well, unless there’s no other choice)
A special thank you should go out to Congressman Ron Paul who ushered in tea party values before there was a tea party. Thank you Dr. Paul.
Personally, I think that Mitch Daniels, Governor of Indiana, will have the inside track on 2012. He has done a lot in Indiana, specifically making the hard decisions by cutting gov’t and putting previously gov’t-run services into the private sector.
He is not well liked by liberals. Which means we should research Governor Daniels and see if he is worthy of our votes.
