Nancy ‘We Didn’t Lose Because of Me’ Pelosi Will Remain Dems Leader; Update: Pelosi Makes Up Job Title for Clyburn

Good news for Republicans: The Democrats still don’t get it.
President Obama gave Nancy Pelosi as effective an endorsement as someone whose mosquitos-to-bug-zapper governing style just helped decimate a political party can when he said that Pelosi has been an “outstanding partner.” Now it looks as if Pelosi will indeed remain the Dem leader, sans gavel:
Pelosi is assured of remaining Democratic party leader when the new Congress convenes in January under a Republican majority. She has drawn no opposition for the post even though several members of the rank and file have said they would prefer she step aside after historic election losses. The GOP gained at least 60 seats in midterm elections, more than enough to return to power after a four-year absence.
The only remaining question was the battle for Minority Whip:
House Democrats averted a messy leadership struggle, clearing the way for Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer to become second in command of their new minority without a challenge from South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn.
How was a messy challenge averted?
Under an arrangement worked out in private, officials said late Friday that Clyburn would instead receive a new position, title unknown and duties undescribed, explicitly labeled the third-ranking post in leadership.
Imagine if the Republicans created a figurehead position out of thin air to keep “the black guy” from making waves and challenging the two white people at the top. MSNBC would have their lead story for the next week.
The new as-yet untitled position (I assume “President of the Back of the House Bus” is not under consideration) Pelosi is creating for Clyburn will at some point be known as “We lost because of him!”

Update: Is “Assistant Leader” the best she could come up with?
How long Pelosi will be able to carry out this “job titles in exchange for standing down” strategy for deflecting leadership challenges remains to be seen. Before 2011 is over there will probably be plenty of “Second Assistant to the Assistant Leader” kind of titles bestowed on countless Democrats.

Good. It gives us a familiar face to target in 2012. Vote GOP or Pelosi gets back to her socialist agenda.
All this means is that with the Blue Dogs gone, the Dems will be even more progressive than they have been which gives the Republicans more leeway to keep drifting left.
I’ve been saying for a long time that the GOP leadership is determined to take the GOP as far left as they can get away with. That is what the “Gangs of McCain” and his nose-holding enablers do. Then they turn to us conservatives telling us that we are the ones who don’t get it. That we are purists who will doom the GOP if we insist on conservative principles.
Sorry Doug, this is only a good thing if you are a RINO. It is terrible if you are a conservative. The best thing for conservatives would be for BOTH parties to start moving to the center because right now, they still have everything to keep the politics left of center.
And it doesn’t help either that Fox and most of the “conservative” media is in full RINO mode with endless features of Bush, Gingrich, Rove, Huckabee, and the rest. Despite what we Tea Partiers just did, we still don’t have a single representative in any leadership position. It’s been “Thanks but now get lost.” Just as I predicted.

A democrat can think only of being either a master or a slave. Since few can be masters, the vast majority will gravitate towards the most ruthless form of power they can find. For now, wh*p-b*tch Nancy fulfills that role nicely. She will lose her position only when someone worse comes along.
As for why black people are a wholly-owned (96%) subsidiary of the democrat party, I think the best answer can be found in that fact that the democrats are a Popular Front, not a party as we traditionally think of one in America. And since black people are addicted to PORM (Politics of Race Muscle), only the democrats can fulfill their fantasies of black national socialism. Anyone can figure this out, but very, very few are willing to state it.
Oh, and I forgot to add “Get used to President Hillary”. The GOP is just going to get us bogged down over the next two years while trying to get one of its RINO candidates positioned to run against Obama just like they were positioning to run against Hillary in 2008. Meanwhile, they will absorb their share of the blame as they
failrefuse to repeal Obamacare or move hard to dismantle the many disastrous programs that have been put in place since 1999 (Financial Services Modernization Act).We have to remember that this is the first time in history that the party returning to power is just as unpopular as the party they are replacing and even less popular than when they were booted out of power.
The GOP we hate so much is back and intact while knee-capping the Tea Party politicians. Why are we celebrating and crowing? We are losing!!! Wake up!!!

It’s just breathtaking to witness the dawn of a new political reality taking shape before our eyes – and it should have been expected. The worst of the left, such as Pelosi elected by the most radical moonbats, are finding themselves alone gasping like dying tadpoles flopping around in a shrinking mud puddle in bright sterilizing sunlight. They will be the LAST ones to ‘get it’ …if they ever do.
This election proved beyond any doubt that founding principles, TEA party principles, are what the majority of Americans actually believe in their hearts. Stick a fork in progressivism…
Finally, we are as a country waking up to the realization that there is no room for ‘moderation’ on principles or compromise between the truth and lies.
Pelosi is and will likely remain a fading poster girl of the radical left for a long time to come because the majority of mentally disturbed voters in her district is going to increase as more and more conservatives pack up to escape and more and more radicals move into her district as their last place of refuge.
I’ll make the outrageous prediction that a tall fence will eventually have to be built around her district. The only question is whether it is going to be built by those on the outside, those on the inside or by both as a lasting monument to the true potential of bi-partisanship?

The House Republicans need to make a few new rules and when possible apply them retroactively: (1) all members to list use of military jets and the actual cost involved for the past 4 years, and then yearly also providing documentation of who flew with them and why a military jet was necessary; (2) no votes after 9 PM; (3) a breathalyzer test before any member can cast a vote; (4) mandatory random drug testing of all members; (5) all judges whose decisions are overturned more than 25% of the time within a 4 year period, must appear before the Judiciary Committee to explain their incompetence (HAHAAHA the 9th Circus Court whose collective decisions are overturned about 80% of the time) and where deliberate actions have been taken to re-challenge recent Supreme Court decisions or a rate of overturned decisions more than 33%, a vote must be taken by the House on whether to impeach such a Judge due to incompetence or malfeasance; (6) mandatory retirement age limits for members (Alzheimer’s rate 50% by age 80 – the Klansman was a wreck for the last decade in the Senate; (7) the House will vote on the definition of key terms such as, “rich, tax cut, the wealthy.” Rich will be defined on the basis of overall wealth and not income. Members will be corrected by the House Parliamentarian whenever they misuse key terms; (8) House bills will be properly and simply named or only given a number designation; (9) no House member will, on Federal property, exclude any other member from any meeting based on religion, gender, race, or national origin, (10) House members referred to the ethics committee will have their case promptly reviewed and concluded with 90 days. If the Member fails to cooperate fully, it will be an admission of guilt. Members found to have committed probable criminal actions will be referred for criminal charges to the State their district resides in. Members who make ethical charges which are without merit, will themselves be found guilty of unethical behavior and be held financially responsible for all expenses of those involved.
I could go on and on, but most people already have thought about these ideas already (credit to my Dad re: breathalyzer LOL!)

That was a good list! I would add, any bill sent should only address that issue, no other admendments added to it. If a bill is suppose to be on line for five days, by golly be on line five days. Our elected should respond to our emails, fax, mail, or phone calls by someone on their staff asap when we want our voices heard on a bill.

Great. The Wicked Witch of the West will be a perfect target for the next two years and a great rallying point for the next election. The only better thing is to have Harry Reid to still kick around. Too bad he’s still majority leader, though. It’s also good that most of the Blue Dogs are gone. Another election like this one and McCain won’t have anybody left to compromise with.
She thinks she will be majority leader again in 2013. That’s the only reason why she hasn’t bagged out altogether. No one wants to go back to the cheap seats after being Speaker and Minority Leader is like accepting the crown for Miss Prairie Oyster Festival after being Miss Universe.
She can be the devil on t.v. all she wants. Her national approval rating might be -99.9% but she’s as safe as houses in her ultra left-wing district in San Francisco.
Relative to press coverage, I’m not looking forward to this.
I remember a lot of air time given to Nancy Pelosi’s rants during the Bush years. The press loved it when she ‘played offense’ as it spoke to their way of thinking.
We had it pretty good while she was on the defensive. We’ll see…
Any one see the Tea Party winners in congress are being cajoled into seeing how exactly things work in D.C. by our good ol boy’s club?
These people need to be reminded how it was they got where they are going and fast or you can stick a fork in the country…we won’t get another chance.

I was hoping for this, because she is the face of the dimocrat party (along with Reid and Mao’bama) that led to the slaughter on 11-2. With Pelosi still quite visible, this bodes well for conservatives in 2012.
I hope she stays as leader. I hope she gets involved in every district that still has a democrat.

The Dem party IS leftist no matter who is officially leading. This way the face of the party is a flaming socialist. That helps remind people of who the Dems are unlike having a stealth socialist in charge.
