Things You Won’t Read About at Media Matters, Episode XXIV

Will the left now be asking some of their like-minded brethren to tone down their “class warfare” rhetoric?
First, some background on what happened yesterday from The Blaze:
As we reported earlier, Clay Duke, a Florida man whose wife had been recently fired by the local school system, took matters into his own hands Tuesday as he entered a Bay County school board meeting armed with a handgun. After school board members tried to talk Duke down, he raised his pistol and began firing randomly at the seated school board members.
He missed all of them. A security guard then shot and wounded Duke. At that point Duke killed himself.
Thankfully this maniac was a terrible shot. Here’s a brief video from WMBB of the first shot so you can see just how close he was:
What motivated him? Yes, his wife recently lost her job, but lots of people are losing their jobs without trying to kill innocent people.
Even absent any further details, you can be certain he wasn’t a Tea Party member or right-wing talk radio aficionado, or this would be all over the network news by now:
Clay Duke, the man who opened fire on a Florida school board Tuesday, posted a “last testament” on Facebook decrying the wealthy and linking to a slew of progressive sites including theprogressivemind.info and MediaMatters.org.
The chilling Facebook statement, posted under the “About Clay” section, talks about being born poor and how the rich “take turns fleecing us”:
Replace those sites with “Glenn Beck,” “Tea Party” or “Fox News” and you’d be looking at the lead story on all the nightly newscasts, with the actual shooting as a mere backdrop.
So who’s to blame for this shooting and suicide? Media Matters? Bernie Sanders? No — Clay Duke is to blame (I refuse to shed my “personal responsibility” streak as tempting as it can be at times).
Meanwhile, as Media Matters is still busy trumpeting how dangerous Glenn Beck’s “violent rhetoric” is, there’s not a mention on their site of the media that Clay Duke considered worthy of following. Some media just don’t matter when it comes to these things.

Our media is a propaganda organ of the leftists. Truth is a stranger to them.

Next, we will be required to take a “Life Sensitivity” course, so we will all know how harmful it is to shoot someone. Oh, maybe I’m thinking of the “Diversity Sensitivity” course to make us all aware that declining to agree with leftist propaganda makes us a bad person.
Not to mention that the board was willing to negotiate with this terrorist. They offered to give his wife’s job back. Had it not been a “gun free zone” this idiot might not have gotten a shot off and made a lot of prople pee their pants.
The proper term.
The report I heard this morning was that although he claimed that his wife had lost her job there, the district has been unable to identify who she was or if she had ever worked for them.
Looks like a typical liberal that never shot a gun before. A conservative would’ve had the board all shot and field dressed before the rest of the room cleared.

He won’t have to worry about the rich any more.
We are getting constantly fleeced by the rich – specifically, the rich congressmen and their powerful donors and lobbyists who shuttle our hard earned money out of our paychecks and into their own pockets. People losing there jobs is mostly an effect of the ill our own government has been doing to us over the past 20 years.
Grrrr…. “their jobs” – hopefully I found it before the grammar police take away my typing privileges.

Did someone forget to take his lithium today?
why the heck are those board members just sitting there, even after he shoots?
Also, I bet they are glad that someone else in the room had a firearm. I hope they recall that next time the libs talk about how evil firearms are.
Lastly, I’m glad this guy was a bad shot. No one deserves to die like that.
Great story Doug! Will the next massacre in a business be laid to rest at the feet of media matters and the left class warfare propogandists in the media. This guy was a loose cannon believing the rich were out to get him personally. Living in a trailer, his wife lost her job, and it was the fault of the rich. How many beers per day did he invest in his future? How many years of his life after age 18 did he spend investing in his and his families future? Any college? Any anything? Or did he learn one job in 3 months and then HOPE it would last a lifetime.
Well it’s possible that his wife certainly exists and worked for them, but that the district hasn’t done a good job identifying her yet.
I wonder if anyone asked them that. Because if that security guard wasn’t there or wasn’t armed, this socialist would have reloaded and just walked around and shot them as they cowered under their desks.
But what you’ll hear from the media is that guns need to be banned. Even though it was a gun that saved six or seven lives.
I’m sure they’ll eventually discover the truth. I was just trying to make a point that guns don’t kill people; in this case it was a nut with a socialist class warfare grudge.
But there is one point…he killed himself, but his wife just lost her job. What does that say about him? Not much since he just left her at the worst possible time. Or…he doesn’t have a wife and was trying to “justify” his actions somehow.
The number one reason to pack heat everywhere is;
The Democrat Party! (No wonder they want to take our guns away!)
In Florida, law abiding men and women are allowed to carry concealed weapons. Why these people, given a trove of reasons why they should, even in this kind of setting, didn’t, is beyond me.
Do you need anymore proof that the police cannot be expected to protect you from this kind of incident? The location doesn’t matter, whether it’s a school board meeting, the movies, or Jack-in-the-Box, armed citizens need to protect one another.
You should read the comments on Huffington Post, they are hilarious!! No matter the few conservatives on there telling them over and over again, the guy wasn’t a tea party guy, they are still convinced he is. They are blaming Glen Beck. Of course, the AP article is very vague and leans left. It is just funny. LOVE left on left crime…. Although, very thankful that none of the board were seriously hurt, still, you know they are all teacher union disciples who love to push the tax cuts for the rich is why you are so poor talking point.
if you watch the video it appears (at least to me) that he really wasn’t TRYING to shoot anyone, in fact it looked like he was trying not to while still scaring the bejezus out of them. First he shoots into the wall then into the floor. I suspect this was actually a case of someone trying to commit “suicide by cop” but when the cop finally arrived he realized he was not going to be killed so he finished the job himself.
And I would add that the School District Cop that shot him was NOT in the room, and he didn’t come INTO the room until the first shots were fired. Apparently he had not read the latest on how to deal with an “active shooter”. the old plan of waiting until the cavalry arrives and then doing a reconnaissance in force has gone out the window. the new thinking is to go in as soon as you get there and take the guy out immediately. But of course if this wasn’t a “gun free zone”, then there was a decent chance that someone in the room would have been legally armed and able to deal with the threat.
bho should try running an economy without the rich and see how far he gets. The rich actually pay taxes while the DC elites don’t and then state that they made a silly mistake. I’ll pay more in taxes when all the DC tax cheats pay theirs and congress cuts spending.
The guy that got shot first was on Fox News at 5AM MST today. He said that it was Jesus who prevented him from being killed. He said he KNEW he was being protected by an angel or something because he said he was not fearful when the man pointed the gun directly at him. He said he saw the man’s finger pull the trigger in slow motion…No other channel I switched to mentioned this incident.
Proof he was a registered Democrat.

I do feel this act was brought on by left wing entitlement society policies and demagogues. Are the violent riots we see in Europe any different reaction to people feeling they are entitled to be taken care of? This guy obviously has been brainwashed to believe that the rich have victimized him; that society owes him a job, a living. And where did he hear those beliefs reinforced day in and day out? From the leftwing media/blogosphere/ideologues.

You know what else you won’t read at media matters or huffington post? The story about the murdered Border Patrol Agent. Mind sick liberals.
Crikey! I went to jr and sr high school in Panama City! There’s been some wacked out, crazy crimes in that city’s history.
Along with everyone who convinced him that he is entitled to whatever he wants and when he doesn’t get it, he’s enititled to take it by force from someone who earned it by hard work and sacrifice.

I couldn’t comment earlier today (was at work) – but I watched the entire replay this AM on Fox News. The only one in the room with any GONADS was the woman who had been allowed to leave, and she came back into the room and tried to knock the gun out of the gunman’s hands with her PURSE as he stood very very close to all the guys.
The guys just sat there as she beat him with her purse, and then he pointed the gun at her, then she left. The guys just sat. How sad.
I saw a link to that facebook page earlier today and thought it was a goof, not real. Guess I was wrong. But hey, someone that is as lousy a shot as that clown appears to be HAS to be a liberal

Of course! If the guy had written a note which included FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, the Tea Party, Pro-lifers, FOX News, Debbie Schlussel, or similar groups or individuals, such as Michelle Malkin, etc., you KNOW, without a doubt, that the media would be all over it and the story would be “Conservative/Republican/anti-Choice person opens fire and shoots at defenseless public.”
Of course, the aforementioned – Beck, Limbaugh, Malkin, Palin, Pro-lifers, Conservatives, etc., are the least violent and hate filled, while the leftists and their celebrities are rife with hatred, bigotry, racism, venemous comments and calls to violent action.
Just stating facts.
Worth re-examining this entry and the posts in light of the shooting in Arizona.
Apparently the Left has a new angle on these kinds of occurrences this year.
