Chicago Mayoral Race Flush With Excitement

Mediaite reports on a recent swirl of activity in the Windy City concerning Rahm Emanuel’s opponent in the Chicago Mayoral race:

If radio really is the theater of the mind, then WGN-AM listeners were given a rather unfortunate show recently. As the station interviewed Congressman Danny Davis to discuss his campaign to become Chicago’s next mayor, the conversation was punctured by one of the most distinct sounds known to ears: that of a toilet flushing.

It’s unknown if Davis was the one doing the actual flushing. My guess is that the flusher was a dead voter so excited about getting to the polls in February that he could no longer contain himself. You make the call:

Best metaphor for Chicago politics ever? Right up until the flush part, maybe.
