The March for Life 2011: America’s REAL rally to restore hope and sanity

Washington DC – Pastor Luke Quinn, Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Frederick MD, asks: “Where is President Obama? Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is Al Sharpton?”
Today marks the 38th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. Throngs of peaceful activists — increasingly young and minority — will fill the streets of the nation’s capital to speak up and stand up for unborn life.
It has become an annual ritual to watch the national media and liberal commentariat strain to ignore or marginalize the burgeoning movement.
Expect no different this year.
Just as they have averted their eyes to the Philadelphia Horror, they will look the other way at the passionate women of all ages exposing the horrors of Planned Parenthood predation, the forgotten victims of choice, the girls who have been lied to, the modern-day eugenicists masquerading as feminists, and the obscene profiteering of the government-funded abortion racket.

Here is President Obama’s statement on Roe v. Wade:
Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women’s health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.
I am committed to protecting this constitutional right. I also remain committed to policies, initiatives, and programs that help prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant women and mothers, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.
And on this anniversary, I hope that we will recommit ourselves more broadly to ensuring that our daughters have the same rights, the same freedoms, and the same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.
Here is his statement on the Philadelphia Horror:
Oh, wait. There isn’t one.
***
National Review reminds us of the deadly, ineluctable logic of the mainstream abortion racket that got us from Roe v. Wade to Barack Obama to the Philadephia Horror:
Gosnell’s Philadelphia clinic’s lack of hygiene is not the detail that has captured the most attention, or inspired the most outrage. It turns out that Gosnell frequently, perhaps hundreds of times, fully delivered intact fetuses and then used scissors on the newborn. In his words, he engaged in “snipping” to “ensure fetal demise.” In many cases, the fetuses were in the third trimester.
This procedure, sometimes called a “live-birth abortion,” is illegal. But not thanks to President Obama. As a state legislator in Illinois, he argued that the law should offer no protection to neonates if they had been delivered before viability. He said that protecting them would violate Roe v. Wade and undermine the right to abortion. What looked like infanticide to most people was for him, it must be inferred, a “private family matter.” When Gosnell applied his scissors to pre-viable children, he was, on Obama’s terms, merely exercising a cherished freedom.
Credit Obama with a real insight: The physical location of a human being conceived five months ago may mark the difference between whether he is considered a “fetus” or an “infant,” but it cannot mark a moral difference. Nor can it make a moral difference whether this being is partly inside the womb. When Congress moved to ban partial-birth abortion, most liberals took the view that any prohibition had to include a health exception: If in the judgment of the abortionist the safest method of . . . ensuring fetal demise . . . was to partly deliver the fetus, crush its skull, vacuum its brains, and then deliver the rest, then he had to be free to do so — at any stage of pregnancy. President Obama favored this health “exception.”
A few liberals — notably Supreme Court justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg; also the celebrated intellectual Richard Posner in his role as a judge — made the moral point as well: What difference could it possibly make whether the fetus was partly out of the birth canal when its life was ended? Start with the correct view that location does not matter; add the liberal view that partial-birth abortion is justified whenever an abortionist says so; and it is hard to escape the conclusion that a live-birth abortion is justified whenever an abortionist rules it the safest method of killing.
We don’t know that Gosnell has closely followed the Supreme Court’s opinions or the president’s statements. We can say that his actions perfect the logic of the mainstream of the pro-choice movement. He has followed premises shared by the president and by four Supreme Court justices to their unavoidable conclusion.

Gosnell’s victims speak.
More on the “sisterhood of suffering:”
FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Robyn Reid didn’t want an abortion. But when her grandmother forcibly took her to an abortion clinic one wintry day in 1998, Reid figured she’d just tell the doctor her wishes and then sneak away.
Instead, Kermit Gosnell barked: “I don’t have time for this!” He then ripped off her clothes, spanked her, wrestled her onto a dirty surgical stretcher, tied her flailing arms and legs down and pumped sedatives into her until she quit screaming and lost consciousness, she told the Daily News yesterday.
Nicole Gaither got an abortion from Gosnell in 2001. After four days, she said, the pain was so bad she could barely walk. She returned to the clinic, where, she said Gosnell blithely told her he’d left fetal remains in her.
“Stand up! It don’t hurt that bad!” he yelled at her, she said, before suctioning – without any medication – her insides.
In 2001, Davida Johnson changed her mind about aborting her 6-month fetus after seeing Gosnell’s dazed, bloodied patients in his recovery room, she said. But in the treatment room, Gosnell’s staffers ignored her protests, smacked her, tied her arms down and sedated her into unconsciousness, she said. She awoke no longer pregnant.
Weeks later, she said, she was diagnosed with a venereal disease that she believes she contracted from unsterilized equipment Gosnell used. Now, she can’t carry a baby to term and said she has miscarried four times since her abortion.
One day after a grand jury issued a hefty report charging Gosnell with eight counts of murder stemming from his West Philadelphia practice, Reid, Gaither, Johnson and other women stepped forward yesterday to share stories of horrors they had hidden for years, unaware that they were part of a sisterhood of suffering.

Outrage! I’m needs some outrage over here! What a monster!
With the release of medication to induce abortions the old going to an abortion clinic is fading away except for very late term abortions. Even if the anti-abortion forces could outlaw abortion in all 50 States women would be able to obtain the medication by mail order from Asia, Europe & Canada or even catch a flight to Canada to legally obtain an medicated induced abortion.
They can do whatever they want to themselves, drink Drano, buy an Oreck, whatever, but don’t ask everybody else to subsidize their murder!
We wonder why our country is slowly sinking into the abyss. Too many of our nation’s leaders and people have walked away from the Judeo-Christian founding principles that made this a great country. At the same time they claim there are reproductive rights and choices.
The choices should be made before pregnancy and rights will only be available as long as people are willing to behave responsibly to protect them.
And the Same Gov’t that wants to Regulate every breath you tanke, every Bite of Food you eat, every drop of Water you drink, (Basically Control your whole life)… was supposed to Regulate and inspect this place….
These state-sanctioned eugenicists might think twice about blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants since newly-arrived latinos are predominantly Catholic and pro-life. I expect that part of their vote will be suppressed or derailed.
Imagine the clinics and hospitals once Obamacare starts. This may become the norm instead of the exception.
“You can no longer drive your SUV’s, turn the temperature up in your house or eat what you want”. “Oh, but it’s o.k. to kill your baby”…Barack Hussein Obama.
God is not happy.
Oh, and if they need someone to suction out Gosnell’s brains, I volunteer.
Then you should have no problem with banning them, right?
A special ring in hell awaits…….
No, neither the political class or the media took notice of the Philadelphia Horror nor does it seem to outrage mh of America. It is the hardness of the heart that allows the murder of millions of innocents.
We have become rather like the Canaanites sacrificing infants to false gods.
May the president’s daughters lie down with anyone…
The line forms to the right.
Roland:
The author of that taunting post likely concludes from that sentence, that because of what he says in that sentence, no one should have a problem with allowing abortions….
And this from the guy who HAD to call a press conference when a black college professor got arrested for obstructing/lipping-off-to a cop…
Guess it’s just a matter of priorities.

IS 59-God asked-
“What are YOU doing about the shedding of innocent blood…and un-just judges”
then God put on the Full Armor-
God gave us the Full Armor in Eph 6-
We have not been using it-
I dread the Day when God take back the Full Armor —
We Christians have been too willing to be nice and ‘forgiving’—turning how many other cheeks?!!
We either stand up to the evil or God will-we will not like that day…
I thank God for bold people like M Malkin–
Carol-CS
So when they hook Gosnell up to Old Sparky, his victims will get to say, “Sit down! Shut up! This will only hurt as much as the pain you caused!”
Please don’t go there, they are not their parents, and should not be punished as so.
I apologize ahead if I misinterpreted your thought.
He did not call a press conference about Gatesgate. He was asked one question at a press conference that was otherwise scheduled.
Do you know if any of the press corps has asked Obama, or even Gibbs for that matter, about the the incident? Fox News has 2 correspondents there, as does CBN.
Wait – I think this is it: “government should not
intrude on private family matterspeek into the baby closet.”Probably a planted (or just a friendly) question so he wouldn’t have to call a press conference.
Pearls or diamonds?
How many of you had children that could feed themselves before – oh, I dunno, 4? So under the “viable” argument, kindergartners could all be…never mind, Obama is an a$$.
I’d say something, but I see that offerings from men, regardless as to whether they speak truth or not, are not welcome here. It seems that all women, pro-life and pro-abortion, have bought the lie that this issue is a woman’s issue.

The sins of the fathers are visited upon their children. There are consequences to what Obama is preaching and it will follow that his children will suffer these consequences. If we don’t pray for our own children we leave them open to all kinds of evil – if we don’t pray for them – who will?
God is fair. If we don’t want our children to have this country, maybe he’s giving it to people who do…
That they call “Pro Life” people anti-Choice is simply not true. We are very much Pro-Choice. It’s just that the choice being made is whether or not to have sex. Once that choice has been made it’s no longer just the woman affected by her choice. There is a father and a baby who are also profoundly affected.
How unreasonable, old-time-thinking, and out-of-touch of you to think that people should be responsible, be able to control themselves, and (depending) be able to keep it in their pants or to keep their legs together….
This is abosolutely NOT just a “women’s issue” – that is what the lefties want you to believe. My friend, a man, told me that his girlfriend had an abortion, never told him. When he found out he was devastated. He wanted a child, marriage, all of it and she knew that. He confronted her and she told him it was HER CHOICE. To this day, he will not utter her name. This is just ANOTHER by-product of the horrors of the killing of the innocents.
No man is an island – what we do and how we live effects us all. We were not created to live unto ourselves as though we can do what we want and that our choices will not effect anyone else. We were told to love one another because we are intertwined with each other and we all matter very, very much.
Yes, I hope the Obama girls never have to find out what their choice, coerced from the parents or not, would be, should they ever find themselves punished with a baby.
Rogue, me too!
To mix metaphors…that expression distills one of the “pillars” of the opposite worldview-holders “worldview” into a nutshell – a baby is a punishment.
I think of it as Leftist angry rhetoric that helps perpetuate the non stigma of abortion.
Abortion sucks.
As I recall, it has been reported in the past that all questioners and questions at Obama “press conferences” are pre-screened.
Obama does not think the government should intrude on private matters? Except what food we are allowed to eat, what TV news we watch, what is on the radio, how our children are educated, who our doctors are, what light bulbs we may use, whether or not we want to unionize, whether or not we own firearms, and so on and so on. According to Obama, abortion is practically the ONLY right we have. Okay, I am exaggerating; I suppose he also feels we have a right to taxpayer funded sex-change operations and a few odds and ends. All that stuff actually listed in the Bill of Rights ( speech, press, religion, state sovereignty, etc.) is not seen as important at all.
OK, so when the repeal of Obamacare gets through the Senate, you’ll sign it, since it intrudes on private family matters?? Or this another example of talking out of both sides of your mouth at the same time??
no doubt most of the victims were black..EUGENICS its the dirty little secret of the progressive movemement…Hillary holds that racist eugenicist margaret sanger in awe…
Nice article about the March over at CNN.
Oh, wait… no, there ISN’T. A. WORD.
There it is. More of that rightwing hate speech.
That’s as bad as the hate speech from those rightwing racist xenophobes who want to take away affirmative action and control immigration.
Damned nazis.
It’s time for some civility, you vicious, mass murder inspiring bigots!
I’d skip the /sarc part, but someone might think I’m Ed Schultz or Chris Matthews.

Dex, for the Lame Stream it is just not news worthy, don’t you know. Now If Sarah Palin shoots a King Salmon in a river to bring home for dinner, thats a whole new kettle of fish, as it were.
I lived in the East Bay for 15 years and never witnessed a pro-life march of this size.
Amazing and inspiring.
This horror reveals more than just the abortion issue. Thousands of girls and women who are ignorant of how their bodies work, who don’t know how to stand up for themselves when confronted by evil, who don’t know where to get help when they need it.
No one in this country should be ignorant about basic human physiology, about the reproductive cycle, about the signs of pregnancy or where to go for help. Yet so many of these girls and women didn’t know that they were more than 24 weeks pregnant, didn’t know that late-term abortions are not some easy, painless process compared to child birth, and in other reports elsewhere, some don’t even know they’re pregnant until they give birth.
The genocide of the black population is more than just abortion, it’s the 70% out of wedlock birthrate, it’s the lack of a general education, it’s that even though 12% of the population is black, they make up 40% of the prison population. It’s being trapped in these neighborhoods with no education, no job prospects, drug dealers and crime with no hope of escape.
These are the issues that the NAACP and other organizations should be addressing instead of perceived grievances from a generation ago that no longer exist.
Hmm, free education, but studying is “white”. Age 18, join the military and get out.
I was there for the Walk For Life WC in San Francisco on Saturday.
It was AMAZING! It was the nicest group of people you would ever want to walk with on a beautiful day!
There was a crowd of people as far as the eye could see both in front of us and behind us along the route.
The Walk For Life WC really shows what is possible – even in San Francisco – when good people are willing to stand up for their beliefs!

Pray for our country. The stories of the Philadelphia massacre are chilling, no, horrifying. Pray dear friends.
Emphasis mine. The framers of the Constitution never dreamed the culture they were crafting could become so insanely depraved they would use their freedom to destroy their own offspring.
God Bless you Michelle. You have a voice in the national discourse. Please continue to use it.
I met a family court judge in a church I visited who blew my mind. I can’t say where, he has enough trouble for his stand. In his state, 15 year old girls can get abortions without their parents’ knowledge or consent – but they must get approval from the family court. This judge appoints a defense attorney to represent the unborn child in the proceeding. He puts his career, credentials and reputation on the line, and it makes a difference. Just this gesture makes girls rethink what they are doing, and many change their minds.
Made me realize talk is cheap. You have to do something. If all of us who say this is evil would help just one kid keep her baby, I’ll bet we’d cut the death tool by 75%. Give it some thought. The places that are doing it are not hard to find.
Thank you, Michelle, for all you do for this issue and others in the USA.
Good point by Pastor Luke Quinn, where are the black leaders, indeed? Forty percent of all abortions today are performed on young black women.
When I was TRYING to get pregnant I got the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility and learned so much. It’s the “bible” of many women trying to get pregnant as well as those who want to do family planning. I think every girl should have to read it. I loaned it to a 20-something friend who was trying to get pregnant and even she was amazed at how little she knew about her own body!
I’m not a very religous man. But I believe in God, and that He occasionally walks this world, as does Satan. The latter most definitely has been spending a lot of time in this benighted country, particularly with those of the pro-abortion bent. I believe in Heaven, and I believe in Hell. Hell may or may not be the fire & brimstone place some think it to be. It may be a place where one suffers the complete estrangement from God. Whatever it is, I have no doubt that the Murderer-In Chief will find himself there some day.
Meanwhile, last year’s Lieberman-Collins Bill to give Obama a “Kill Switch” in internet emergencies has been resurrected.
“Kill” is such a tinny word. Maybe they should replace that language with the more PC “Abortion Switch”.
Glad to see Fox News covering this.
Hey, does anyone know of a site/message board where there are lots of people posting comments/opinions on what’s going on in Fox News in real time? Preferably with a conservative slant!!!
You know… the reverend Al Sharpton is on now, and for once ever… I’ll be darned if he’s not being fair and unbiased. He’s talking to that guy who made the comment about black people should be more sensitive about abortion.
Obama: It’s above my pay grade…
We know champ you’re not God, you just play messiah for the superficial and the foolish.
Obama sickens me.
.
His words should also be added to the many cases that will prove the un-constitutionality of obamacare.
Shocking how silent the Just’Us Brothers are on this. Where are the Rev’rund’s Al and Jesse?
But that’s what the left wants and works tirelessly to prevent women from knowing.
Keeping the masses ignorant is a great way to maintain the status quo of liberal power.
If those are the rules leftist justices want to go by, then they should have no objection to the death penalty. When Gosnell is sentenced to death for his murders, we’ll just call it a “retroactive abortion”. How could the left have an objection to that? After all, what difference could it possibly make whether Gosnell is in the womb or out when he is aborted by the
abortionistexecutioner?Obama will do his best tonight (at the SOTU) to sound like Ronald Reagan.
But President Reagan fought against abortion and communism.
Obama supports both abortion and communism.
Barry, you, sir, are no Ronald Reagan!
pResident Barack Obama, January 12, 2011:
I prefer President Reagan, March 8, 1983:
Obama will do his best to sound like Reagan, but the reality is that Obama actually stands for that which President Reagan opposed… godless (or at least anti-Christian) communism, abortion, etc.
Obama said:
He claims abortion “protects women’s health”.
There is a lot of evidence to the contrary.
Abortion frequently harms women’s health, both physical and mental health, and is sometimes even fatal to the mother, while always fatal to the child.
