Dennis Kucinich Files Lawsuit Against Congressional Cafeteria

Just to clear up a misconception right off the bat, in spite of some speculation over at Free Republic, Kucinich is suing the operators of the congressional cafeteria, but not for injuries he sustained by falling out of a poorly maintained high chair.
From USA Today:
Rep. Dennis Kucinich has filed a lawsuit over a sandwich he bought at a congressional cafeteria.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, has filed a lawsuit over an olive pit contained in a sandwich. Kucinich, D-Ohio, bit into an olive pit in a sandwich wrap in April 2008, which he said led to “serious and permanent dental and oral injuries,” according to documents filed with the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
He’s seeking $150,000 in damages, the court filing says.
[...]
In the lawsuit, Kucinich alleges that the defendants served him food “that was unwholesome and unfit for human consumption” because it “contained dangerous substances” — an olive pit.
A date of injury is given in this story:
The congressman says he was injured by the sandwich on April 17, 2008.
Prepare for MSM stories alleging that the sandwich was influenced by right-wing political rhetoric.
And Kucinich thought he was fit to be president? How can you take on terrorists if a BLT kicks your ass? Bush almost choked to death on a pretzel but he didn’t sue Mister Salty.
In court, expect Kucinich’s attorney to allege the government planted the olive pit (a conspiracy accusation which might give rise to a so-called “Toother” movement):
