Is Al Gore Going to the Super Bowl?

I’m not able to confirm if Al Gore is going to Dallas for the Super Bowl on Sunday, but “Gore Effect” rules being what they are, I’d say there’s a better than average chance of a Goracle sighting in the Lone Star State this weekend:

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Another blast of winter weather slammed Dallas with up to 5 inches of snow Friday, making driving hazardous and forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights as tens of thousands of football fans descended on the city for the Super Bowl.

North Texas was still struggling to recover from Tuesday’s ice storm, part of a massive system that paralyzed a large swath of the country with blizzards, thundersnow and bone-chilling temperatures this week.
[...]
But the weather was causing travel problems for die-hard fans on Friday – which was expected to be the busiest day for travel to Dallas ahead of the game.

American Airlines and its affiliate, Eagle, cancelled more than 300 flights that were supposed to land at its main hub, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Cancelled flights, yes, but those planes would have only spewed additional greenhouses gases, worsening global warming which would have in turn made it even colder and snowier in Dallas… or something.

Seriously, though, how did the Ice Age end? I know it’s not a unique thought, but the Ice Ages are accepted wisdom, and for them to end the temperature MUST have risen. But there were no people or SUV’s back then, so what gives?

Maybe Al Gore can help out with the halftime show. If you can teach him to dance to the band music–he can replace the Circus Elephant that will be used to cheer up the losing Steelers on their way back on field after halftime.
    ***
Only downside–it will be cheaper to feed the elephant. He / she works for peanuts–Al Gore will suck down $1000. of brats and beer before his performance.

Probably the most ridiculous comment I’ve seen anywhere in the last 2 weeks regarding the Super Bowl. Green Bay hasn’t trailed in a game by more than 7 points and didn’t lose a game by more than 4 points all season long. With the exception of New England, the games they lost they beat themselves. Green Bay lost to the Patriots by 4 points AT New England and WITH their backup quarterback. Steelers lost to the Patriots AT HOME by 2 touchdowns AFTER Roethlisberger came back.

The Steelers are a good team, and in all honesty I think they will probably win on a last-second field goal, but there’s gonna be no wiping of the Packers going on.

You don’t know much about football.
