John McCain: New Improved ‘Centrist’ Obama Easier to Work With, My Friends
**Written by Doug Powers
Do you think he actually wonders why he lost in 2008?
The president has become more centrist, which makes him easier to work with, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Thursday.
Speaking with Bloomberg Television a day after a private meeting with President Obama, McCain said he could picture working with Obama on several issues going forward.
“I think there’s a number of issues we could work on together, and I think it’s pretty clear that the president has really pivoted to a much more centrist position, which I think makes it much more for us easier to work with him,” McCain said.
John McCain often reminds me of a trout that just got hooked and is thrilled that the fisherman has agreed to meet him halfway.

Yes, that’s the problem, which is why it may on some occasions be better to vote third party and keep the fire burning, than to just reflexively put the GOP in power and let them steal our fire and then extinguish it (the SOTU “prom date” stunt comes to mind).
Are you actually, seriously, scolding John McCain for saying he can work with the president on some issues? Wow, there is no hope for the Right …
Just keep wearing those blinkers.
He’s being scolded for uncritically swallowing Obama’s “centrist” act.
By the way, looking over the linked article, I see that one of the issues McCain says he’s looking forward to working with Obama on is “immigration reform”. In case anyone needed any further proof that his tough talking on the issue during the primary was just for show…
Agreed.
John is pathetic and he’s screaming for attention as he so wants to be “THE power broker”, the man that moves the country forward.
