We’re aware that the current administration is all about designing the country around the wants of Big Labor at the expense of… well, just about everything else. But how much personal communication do they really have? Here’s a brief quiz:
By his own admission, how often does AFL-CIO head Richard Trumka either visit the White House or speak with somebody in the administration?
A) One time per week
B) Two times per week
C) Four time per week
D) Every day
You probably guessed it already:
He could be exaggerating, he could be telling the truth, or he could also be understating. In any case, I hear that when Trumka visits the White House he walks away with so many treats for the union that now when he shows up there Bo hides the Snausages.
Those who would like to limit Trumka’s time with President Obama will have to figure out how to get him a cabinet post.
John Sexton at Hot Air on the collective media yawn:
Imagine that this is the Bush administration and an oil company executive is caught on tape saying he is at the White House twice a week and talks to someone inside every single day. Do you think that would have been a story on the front page of the NY Times? It would certainly be a very big story.
Unless the MSM didn’t consider it a story. If you want to pique the interest of the New York Times and get them to take interest in something that’s really out of the ordinary, tell them nobody in the Obama administration has spoken to a union boss in a month. That would be news.
