Michael Moore: Wealthy Americans’ Money is a ‘National Resource’

By Doug Powers  •  March 2, 2011 03:50 PM

**Written by Doug Powers

Yesterday, Michael Moore said that the money of wealthy Americans “isn’t theres, it’s ours,” and is a “national resource.”

This is why the wealthy filmmaker has taken the unprecedented step of posting his bank account numbers online so all Americans can have access to the vital national resource that is “our” money. I’m impressed by th… what? He didn’t do that? I would have expected otherwise because he’s usually not hypocritical that way….

It also looks as if Michael should demand that the weight loss clinic give him his money back. Whoops, I mean, give him our money back.

So why doesn’t he go on a diet and give the money saved away? Didn’t he just file suit not too long ago to try to recover more money for one of his ridiculous movies?

You see Billy money grows on the moneyfruit tree which is owned by the whole village. It bears enough fruit every day to feed everybody. But rich people go and pick more than they need and won’t share the fruit with others so we have to take it from them. Fortunately the moneyfruit tree has no knowledge of greed and selfishness so it bears its fruit joyfully for us every day. We love and revere the moneyfruit tree. What’s that you say Billy? How and why does the good tree bear its fruit? We don’t know Billy but it always has and we believe it always will. Please don’t ask any more questions Billy, you’re upsetting the other children and if you continue, you will have to go to re-education time out. You don’t want that do you? No you don’t.

    ROFLMAO!

Somebody should introduce Moore to Bernanke. If Ben is unavailable, Michael could spend a day at one of the lovely tours at any Federal Reserve Branch to get a nice education.

What is with this guy? He uses the capitalist system to bash capitalism and makes a pile of money. He attacks states for “abusing” union workers but, refuses to use union workers when he makes his movies, that make a pile of money. Now, he says anyone with a pile of money should give it all up but, refuses to give his up. Why is it that communists, as he surely is, never notice they are hypocrits? He better save what he’s got ’cause I don’t see him making any more.

I don’t really mind hypocrites, as I find that to be a synonym for “humans”.

I absolutely mind, however when Leftests cite conservative and Republican hypocrisy in an effort to silence us on any issue.

If there is any hypocrisy I cannot stand, it is being a hypocrite about being a hypocrite.

One would think with the almost complete lack of standards that Lefties will accept, they might be able to follow the few they have a little better.

When MM starts lobbying Hollywood to release all its stored wealth to the public, that is, when the entire archive of movies and television is released in the public domain so I can download anything I want for free, then I’ll listen.

I mean most movies and television shows have recouped their production costs within the first year or so, perhaps even in the first few days if it’s a blockbuster, so any sales after that is pure profit. Shouldn’t that be considered EVIL in Michael Moore’s reality?

I do stand corrected; it was Joan Rivers and not Phyllis Diller. And supposedly JR and Liz were really good friends.

The actual comment by JR was not the Hong Kong white pages, but the Chinese phone book (i.e., I wouldn’t say that Elizabeth Taylor is overweight, but she has more chins than a Chinese phone book.)

Oops. Link didn’t work. Well, anyway it reminds me of the “Josh Fenderman” sketch on Mr. Show. The spoiled Hollywood brat blew all his cash and then sued the treasury for his money back. He won his lawsuit and then all the money from then on had to be printed with the disclaimer: “Money isn’t yours anymore after you spend it.”

    Hahahahaha.

Moore is just like all rich leftists. He wants everyone else’s money to be redistributed. I read a biography of Charlie Chaplin, who was a HUGE progressive, but he was always in trouble with the IRS because he believed that his wealth was HIS. William Randolph Hearst was also a huge progessive, until FDR came around and demanded all of his money to be redistributed, and only THEN did he realize how stupid he’d been all along.

Let’s not forget Venus Williams who, despite living in FL with no state income tax, complained to Bill Clinton that her federal taxes were too high.

As to Michael Moore, all I can is wow. Just wow. His level of hypocrisy nearly defies further comment.

Whenever I hear lefties complaining about wealth redistribution, especially the poor demanding that someone take from the producers and give to the observers, I think of those obnoxious commercials about the company that “buys” your annuity for pennies on the dollar.

“It’s my money and I want it NOW”, they shout throughout the commercial, with no acknowledgement that they wind up with so very little of “their” money.

If I am not able to skip forward (Thank Goodness for the DVR), I mute the TV when these insipid commercials are on. If I want to see people yelling about getting “their” money, I can watch a democratic national convention, or a union protest, or an Obama town meeting.
