Find Marizela: Support bracelets and fund-raisers

It has now been 23 days since my cousin, 18-year-old University of Washington student Marizela Perez, disappeared in the Seattle area.
I wish I could tell you good news.
We have had a private investigator on the case the past week. Several leads have been followed. But Marizela is still missing. Our hearts ache for Emem and her parents, Edgar and Jasmin, who have not rested one moment in their efforts to find her. Marizela’s loved ones continue to spread the word and spread her spirit in her South Jersey hometown of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, in her home away from home in Seattle, WA, in her parents’ native homeland in the Philippines, and across our great country where so many friends and volunteers have kept Marizela’s case in the public eye.
Marizela’s friend Brianna Price went to school with her in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Brianna teamed up with Elizabeth (Beth) Janansky and Lydia Chong to make and sell bracelets to support the search for Marizela. They are orange “for Marizela’s favorite color” and include the Tagalog phrase from her tattoo — “lahat ay magiging maayos.” (“All will be well” or “Everything’s going to be okay.”)
You can order bracelets for $5 each (all proceeds go to Marizela’s family for the search) from Brianna.
E-mail her at dragunsangel-@-aol.com and put “MARIZELA” in the subject line.
Brianna writes that Marizela’s South Jersey friends will also be holding a fund-raising event on April 8 at Egg Harbor Township High School’s lower cafeteria where the bracelets will be sold:
“I am working alongside the Egg Harbor Township High School’s Drama Club/Thespians Honor Society, Key Club, Art Club, Latin Club, Choir, Dance, and many teachers and graduates to put together a Coffee House performance night. This event is on Friday, April 8th. Doors open at 7:30. Admission is $5.00 and we will be selling wristbands there as well. The link to the event page on facebook is http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=306349&id=613401648&saved#!/event.php?eid=203738876322949.”
While we press forward with the investigation and search efforts, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. -Psalm 27:13

Will do , thanks for the update. I hope we can help bring her home.
Thanks for keeping us informed. Continue to pray for her safe homecoming…the wristband is a great idea.
Still praying, still hoping…..
Yes indeed. Hang in there Michelle…
Thank you Michelle for the up-date. I have be so worried about you because of not getting any new posts. I know you and the entire family are at wits end and so worried. I continue to ask God to be with Marizela, the family, and you.

Michelle, I have kept you and your family in my prayers and know what a struggle it must be for all of you. I thank God for your tireless energy to keep working, looking after your children and husband, yet every minute Marizela’s sure to be on your mind. I pray God the Father brings her home safely.
*I shall continue to lift Marizela and all family members up in my thoughts and prayers; Lord willing, we will have a positive outcome to her disappearance, and soon.
*BTW, I love those slogans way better than “hope & change”; Maybe Michele Bachmann can use them in her campaign, cause Lord knows, we all need some positive reinforcement.
*Keep the faith Michelle!
Thank you for the update.
Continued prayers for all involved.
Still praying for you and your family, Michelle.
“Everything’s going to be okay.”
I am praying for Marizela, her parents and for you Ms. Malkin. With the recent announcement of Media Matters’ “War on Fox News,” I am concerned for all of you.
Michelle – Is there anything else that those of us in the Seattle area can do to help?
We continue to pray for your family and for Marizela to be found safely!
Was waiting for an update. Still praying for the young lady and her family.
Thanks for the update, Michelle.
Just returned from a long weekend in NYC, which took me through Penn Station, many subway stops in NYC (Upper West Side), Newark, NJ railroad, and Atlanta. I kept searching for her face in the crowds, as others are doing in this country.
Marizela’s safe return, and your family, remain in my daily prayers.
Tried to log in to make a donation and was told the site was a phishing site. Michele fix this.
St. Anthony, patron saint of the lost and missing, pray for us…and intercede on behalf of the family and friends of Marizela. Hear our prayers. Amen.
Thanks for the update. Still in our prayers.
I will send an email to purchase a bracelet tonight
Please don’t lose heart, Michele. We are all still praying for Marizela and your entire family.
Continued prayers for Marizela’s safe return!
I was stationed at Egg Harbor. My prayers MM, for Marizela, her family, and friends.
My heart breaks for you and your family, Michelle. I will pray.
absolute best wishes and heartfelt prayers
(still too new to feel worthy..)
Absolutely heartbreaking. I look at my son and my chest literally clenches in pain when I try to put myself in the parents’ place. May God bless their efforts and bring the lass home, safe and sound.
Continued prayers for Marizela and your family. The bracelets are a great idea. Praying you hear something positive soon.
In the craziness of all of our lives…it’s easy to put certain things out of our minds. Thank you for keeping this out there. It let’s us know what is truly important. Continued prayers from Iowa.
Michelle, thanks again for the update. There is nothing more traumatic for a family to have to go through. I still check this site 5-6 times a day hoping for an update with good news. I will continue to hope and pray for the best. Stay strong.
We are still praying for Marizela’s safe return. The Lord’s arm is not too short to do a miracle we must believe. We must believe and we must keep praying for her. We must pray she is safe and simply does not want to be found just yet. We must pray the enemy does not have any power over this situation. We must pray and give thanks to the Lord even in these times. God has a season for everything and this is a trial for her family. Lord bless and keep them and honor their faith. Lord according to Your will please let this end soon with her safe return.
Amen
Amen.
We are all with you in Spirit, Michelle. Holding back tears, we pray for you, your family, Marizela and for all who are missing.
Trust in God.
So sorry for your family’s troubles, Michelle. Still praying that God will bring Marizela home soon. Courage!
We have not diminished our prayers. May God strengthen and encourage you all, her family. May she be returned safely home right away.
She’s still in my morning prayers.
Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
I remain confident that Marizela will return home safely. I pray for this every day and look for updates in Seattle area local news consistently.
The bracelet idea is fabulous! It’s my hope that this will be a great success. For those that are not bracelet people (such as myself) let me ask: If anyone here is in a position to do so, will you donate more than once? No one gets through this type of ordeal without the generosity of others. This I know from personal experience. It doesn’t have to be much, you know. I haven’t made a second donation yet but intend to this evening.
So, there you have it! Please keep the rock-throwing to a minimum.
Still praying for Marizela and your whole family. God grant you his strength and peace.
Good point. I will join you.
Trust in God
I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people spotted you and called in saying they saw her. She looks just like you, Michelle.
She does look a lot like Michelle.
I continue to check, with hope, for good news of Marizela.
I will continue to keep her, and all the family, in my prayers until she comes home.
Michelle, continued prayers for Marizela and your family. She is beautiful.
And seems like she has so much going for her. I know it’s hard to tell just from some photographs, but these do not seem like the image of a kid with no potential for getting lots out of life.
Especially with the obviously devoted family she has, she has to know that once she’s back safe and sound, she’ll be able to bounce back and thrive at whatever she wants to be.
We have been praying and will continue to do so until she is found. Even my 8-year old included her in his prayers the past few nights.
Still praying for Marizela and all your family.
This may seem silly, but have you thought of trying the help of a psychic? I’m a ‘sensitive’ and a few years ago helped a friend find his lost dog after I dreamed where the dog could be found. I say that to point out that I believe the ability is real and there are some psychics who have been very successful in helping in cases like yours.
