Indy Fleebagger Likens Himself to Soldier Going to Afghanistan

Here’s Indiana Democrat State Rep Dave Cheatham, who, when the going got tough in his state, fled to an Illinois hotel for a few weeks, using what may or may not be an actual story to compare himself to troops headed to and fighting in Afghanistan. Shameless and pathetic on so many levels it’s impossible to list them all.

69th District Democrat Dave Cheatham equated his walkout from the Indiana General Assembly to a serviceman leaving the country for service in Afghanistan in a townhall meeting in Madison, Indiana on March 26. The applause was from union teachers.
The similarities are indeed uncanny. Just for starters…
Troops in Afghanistan:
The Marines in Garmsir spend a lot of time talking about the heat. A thermometer flat-lined one particular day, when temperatures reached 135 degrees Fahrenheit in the sun.
“It’s even too hot at night for the mosquitoes,” says one Marine.
They live in crude mud-wall compounds. There are no sewage system, no telephones, no electricity — these young men have been sleeping in the dirt for weeks.
Indiana Fleebagger:
The Democrats wouldn’t speculate on how long they’d stay in Urbana. But if a person had to stay indefinitely in Urbana, the Comfort Suites would not be a bad place.
The hotel has a fitness room (the TV was turned to “I Love Lucy”), an indoor swimming pool (“maximum bather load: 50″) and a hot tub (“maximum bather load: 6″). The Democrats had not yet taken advantage of the amenities, according to hotel staff, fellow guests and the Democrats themselves.
I heard that Cheatham tweaked his back when picking up a tray carrying his room service lunch order, so I imagine a Purple Heart might be in order too.

Of all the things I’ve heard/read about these Wisconsin fleebaggers, this disgusts me the most. If I were to see this guy, I’m afraid I’d take a bat and beat the snot out of him.
I have a friend with the 101st currently in Afghanistan. Watching the sheer terror that his parents endured waiting to here the names of the six just lost (he wasn’t one of the the six, but they were his friends and comrades) was agonizing to me. And to hear this pus filled bag of rancid meat dare compare himself to those kids over there is almost more than I can comprehend.
How dare he compare his cowardice to any of our fighting men and women previously and currently serving. I’d give John F’n Kerry more respect for his service than anything this scumbag has ever done.
Man I should have just skipped right over this one. I’m starting to suspect that this is going to ruin my entire weekend.

Although I am a disabled vet, it was not combat-related. At times, I feel shame when I am grouped in with those wonderful, brave veterans who risked all, yet paid such a high price for their valor.
I think this POS needs to be sent to the rehab part of Walter Reed. Let him see what reality is for those who ventured forth into real battle, not some silly game of cowardice. Cheatham and his ilk are despicable and beyond contempt. Avoiding your elected duty is not in the same league as willing to pay the ultimate price for your country.

My father served in both WWII and Korea, and sent two sons to Vietnam. Thankfully, both came home. When he had to have a bypass operation on his leg, we told him he could get disabled placards for his car. He let us know in no uncertain terms, “I am NOT disabled.” We tried to get him to use an absentee ballot so he didn’t have to travel for voting. His look would have melted stone. No matter what, my father would drag himself to the polling place to cast his vote. He had taken an oath — he knew what it meant and knew it was his duty.
This piece of maggot infested excrement runs away to avoid the duty to which he took an oath.

This guy wasn’t like a service member going to Afghanistan, or Libya, or anywhere else – he was not at his duty station, so he was AWOL.

One day while going into Target, I saw an older man with his wife. He was wearing a ball cap that said “101st Airborne — Bastogne.” Whoa! I asked if he had served in Bastogne and he said yes. I thanked him for his service and was humbled, mightily, for just being in his presence. I asked what was the worst part and he said from December 16th to January 25th. Yoikes!
I also met a member of the Tuskeege Airmen. He was proud to have served even though there was segregation in the U.S. when he got back. We won, and we knew that things would change. He said if Hitler had won, nothing would have changed.
Amazing people. I’m proud to say my father served with them.

There is SO much lacking in these lying, worthless,characterless,cheating, scumbags, certainly, they would be rejected.
What’s even worse is that today, our troops are dying largely anonymously and often to have their funerals defiled by a certain vulgar and evil “church”. I could spit nails.
I guess I should expand on my last comment. In WWII, although hundreds of thousands of our troops died and much more got wounded, almost all of them got a write-up in their local newspapers and they or their bodies came home to an honorable reception by an appreciative America.
Today, the casualties are much lower but since we try to pretend that no one dies in these “non-wars” fought for reasons that cannot be mentioned, they die virtually anonymously except for their families who must grieve without the acknowledgment they deserve for their sacrifice. There is only personal honor fighting for America today and we have to grieve and honor our dead almost privately. It’s a disgrace.
