A big “Happy Mother’s Day” to all you moms out there. I’ll be trying to make sure my kids spoil their mother before we all go to visit my mother, so we’ll be on the road a bit today. Consider this an open thread for discussion.

Naturally, Planned Parenthood is doing their usual Mother’s Day fundraising, just in case you want to give mom the gift of disturbingly thick irony.

Here’s a possible discussion point unrelated to Mother’s Day:

President Obama and Air Force Brig. General Ed Wilson were caught on tape exchanging notes last week. What could be written on them? HAP thinks the General is giving Obama a coupon for a free round of golf. My guess is that Wilson carries with him two notes at all times — one says “spike the football” and one says “no NOT spike the football.” Which one was the president handed here?
