More bad news for Silky Pony

About $2 million in federal campaign matching funds that disgrace former Democrat Sen. John Edwards planned to use as legal fees in his adultery/bribery case must now be returned. The Federal Election Commission finally got around to slapping Edwards for violating election spending rules.
Shed no tears for Silky.
The Federal Election Commission has unanimously voted to require former Sen. John Edwards to repay $2.3 million in federal matching funds.
In a meeting Thursday, the commission approved an audit that showed Edwards’s campaign exceeded the amount of money it was allowed to spend during his 2008 presidential run. A preliminary audit had showed Edwards received more money than his campaign should have been given.
Edwards has about $2.6 million remaining in his campaign account, according to recently-filed disclosure reports.
FYI: His criminal trial is set for October.
And did you catch this? John Edwards tried to launch law firm before indictment.
Perhaps he, Eliot Spitzer, and Anthony Weiner can pitch a talk show proposal to MSNBC.
Oh, no. Wait. Fellow Democ-rat Al Sharpton already nabbed the gig.

I thought Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe were better lawyers than Edwards, Spitzer, and Weiner.
I don’t understand how people who do this stuff don’t think they will be caught. I guess others do it and nothing happens so they try it also?
L
if they were still around, obama would have them in his administration already.
i am guessing now edwards will have to reach into his own pockets for once.
If only those otherwise congenitally destructive Despercrats had nominated Silky as their candidate in 2008. Dang!
The thunderous collapse of the Democrat Party would’ve reverberated throughout presidential politics for years to come.
Shed no tears for Silky? Is that one of those Johnny Cash prison songs
That pompous, arrogant fools deserves whatever he gets. Mr. Lecture the peasants brought low–justice perhaps, finally? That he got so close to the White House says volumes about the weakness of the press.

G’bye Johnny! Come back when ya can’t stay so long!
You are right. People in Edwards lofty position eventaully believe they are too important as to be immune from law and, therefore, untouchable, which is why they are so often stunned when they not only get caught, but are prosecuted and convicted.
Ol’ Johnnie was right about his “Two Americas” but not in the way he thought. In one America, people honestly toil, earn, save and help their neighbors. In the other America, they cheat, get caught, and find themselves doing 10-to-20 with a 300lb roommate named Bubba who thinks you have a pretty mouth.
The You Tube of Edwards prepping his hair to the tune of “I Feel Pretty” has got to be one of the best ever posted…
Hope that there is a cell with Bubba as a cell mate. Preferably, Bubba that had him as a lawyer
There’s more buried somewhere I’m sure.
I hear there’s a couple open slots on the Opera Network. And if not there, CNBC could use the ratings.
Don’t worry, I won’t.
Breaking news is that Boehner and Obama are about to announce a deal. Why am I girding my loins?
Guess what the Do Nothing House GOP is taking the weekend off, guess Boehner is getting a bit pale.
I called my younger brother and told him the news. He was a big Silky supporter during the ’08 primaries. I was tactful in the way I said, “Told ya so!”
You should be prepared to hurl your lunch.
only if bubba was in an ambulance johnny boy was chasing.
WH says “no deal”. (Yet). I just hope whatever Weepy agrees to is run by the “Gang of 234″ first.
Weepy’s office just confirmed that there is no deal. Pwhew!

Hey did you hear that Tea Party Nation stiffed a Vegas hotel on a $600,000 bill, haha do you guys pay any of your debts or are you the biggest freeloaders ever.
Of course, Luckless Little Tony Weiner, never attended law school. He might, however, head up the website and net operations for the firm?
Starve the troll people!

Dang! Is MSNBC trying to commit corporate suicide? Their Puke Factor just increased by 1000%.

So, who the h*ll is Tea Party Nation???
Where did you find this particular drivel? Don’t just make stupid comments, at least back them up.
http://www.tennessean.com/article/20110721/NEWS03/307210051/Tea-Party-Nation-founder-sued-by-Vegas-resort-642-000?odyssey=mod|newswell|img|News|p
Here’s the link to the story that Retiredtopo is talking about. It involves an individual claiming the Tea Party banner, and involves a dispute between the hotel and this individual. It’s quite a stretch to condemn the Tea Party movement based on the actions of this one individual…
I see the new troll has picked up the “swoop and poop” method of commenting that dearly, beloved lgm perfected. Hey tutu, where’s the link to the story with details. Oh, it’s a figment of your fevered imagination? Never mind.
Trolls don’t make any “backed-up” statements.
Rush just mentioned that there’s a meeting scheduled tomorrow at 9 AM for the entire Republican caucus, which would tend to indicate some sort of deal is on the table that Boehner wants them to review (and toss out).
Money being ‘returned’ to the federal government? This money needs to be
spentwasted fast! Obumble needs to apoint a commission on how tospendwaste this money ASAP.Supreme Arrogance.
Just like the resident in the White House.
Hopefully, if an agency in this country ever has the will to act on what they will eventually find in Obama’s bread crumb trail, we will be reading wonderful articles just like this one, but with Obama’s name in the headline.
*sigh* At the risk of feeding the troll, just google Democrat-sued-unpaid-bills. Plenty of fodder, but one article from TN shows how shows two state legislators who represent Nashville, as well as one Davidson County judge and four Metro Council candidates neglected to pay their tax bills. Care to play “name that party” on all of them? Of course, the article never mentions any party affiliation, but it’s easy enough to figure out. Yep — 100% Dems. Of course there’s still Rangel, Jefferson, Geitner, blah, blah, blah.
Stupid troll. Go away now.
I now return you to your regularly-scheduled mock-fest of Silky Pony…
Did you hear that the vast majority of people on the government dole (Welfare, gov’t housing, etc) are democrats?
That would make you and your pals on the left the biggest freeloaders in human history.
Two of the best all-time John Edwards pics: http://www.strangecosmos.com/content/item/107383.html and http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/images/blpic-edwardsbreckgirl.htm …
Hey Ma, can Ilovemypubis sleep over tonight? We wanna play pup tents!
Where will he ever get those expensive haircuts in jail?
His kids sure got a raw deal in the parent lottery.
RetiredPoo-Poo said something really stoooopid about Tea Party Nation Corp, not Associated with the individual Tea Parties that are NON-Profit.
Like what the real Tea Party stands for.
Go back to your Man Country Cave, PooPoo, and leave the conversation to us adults.
Meanwhile, Cantor continues to insist that there is no deal, and Boehner is only saying the the Senate should pass the House CCB bill.
Rush is all over this right now. He said the wh phones are melting. Lets keep the heat up in dc people, please.

He’d better hope he gets Blago for his roommate! Oh, and I wonder if he will have to sell his enormous mansion to pay the money back? You know, the huge ostentatious boondoggle that he built while spewing his hypocrisy about “two Americas”. Spit.
About the Tea Party Nation…I wish there was some way to stop people from stealing that name and using it in corrupt ways. It makes the true Tea Party group look bad, and of course, the left picks up on this and runs with it as a way to trash the movement. Isn’t there any way to stop this??
In the kind of society we live in, I don’t believe there is any way to stop it. In fact, I would expect that there will be those who will identify with the Tea Party movement in an effort to discredit it. But I consider it a badge of honor that this is occurring; it wouldn’t be happening if the Tea Party was irrelevant.
I hope my posting of the article earlier about TPN isn’t considered feeding the troll. When accusations are made such as retiredtopo made, I like to find out the story behind them so that I can respond accordingly, because these accusations will likely be brought up in other venues, and I like to know the facts in order to better respond to them.
Cabrerski #8 – Now, that’s funny. Bubba is the guy that asks, “Do you want to be the husband or the wife tonight?”
Madshark #46 -
I just wanted to thank you for posting the link to the Tea Party Nation “scandal.” I had forgotten that this little teapot tempest had happened back in March 2010. Such old news.
I have to quit speed reading….I thought it said $2.6 TRILLION.
I hope this “man of God” uses a segment to talk about his support for gay marriage and about the Bible verses that support it.
A genius is defined as having “truly exceptional talent and skill, especially when this is accompanied by original thinking.” Well, this at least proves that Al Sharpton is an evil genius — no wonder The One drops everything to listen to him.
No, that is how much Obozo wants to spend next week.
Uh, no. The post said he had $2.6M in his campaign account yet.
Besides, this ambulance chasing hack wouldn’t have paid from his own pocket anyway. Leftists JUST DO NOT DO THAT.
If you recall, some rich leftist was paying hush money for his bimbo.
Meanwhile, other leftists snivel over political activity of the Koch brothers.
No way in he!! would that have happened. If Bill Clinton could get away with raping Juanita Broaddrick and exposing himself to Paula Jones, Edwards would have gotten away with boinking some camp follower.
The media would have covered for him like they did for Clinton.
Like they are doing for Urkel.
Like they did up until the Enquirer published PICTURES of Edwards.
Even then, it took months for him to admit paternity, and for the rest of the slavish media to report with any detail.
…and the party and supporters he represented.
…with a poster sized picture of Silky on the wall.
I sincerely hope he gets the dumbest eFing shyster on the face of the earth to represent him.
At what point does his law license get yanked?
Right on topic as usual.
I agree. I am getting rather fed up with a Gang of Whatever (who do not represent all Americans) hashing out details of some scheme, the media pushing it, and LITTLE input from others who have been elected to represent us.
Gangs of Whatever are just schemes to bypass the process and create momentum to pass some drivel that would never stand the light of day in the normal legislative process.
It gives me a case of the red ass whenever someone in a position of authority abdicates that authority to make it easier on themselves.
…so much for courage and leadership.
Hey did you hear Urkel had the boys over for the weekend at the WH where they had mounds of coke and lots of hookers?
Tears running down my cheeks.
Thanks Rogue.
I thought the bad news was Bubba topped the list for potential bunkies…. win the lottery?
