New Dem Talking Point: GOP Debt Plan Will Steal Christmas

By Doug Powers  •  July 28, 2011 08:00 PM

**Written by Doug Powers

Yet another reasoned approach to the debt debate — apparently the “kiss your Medicare goodbye” scare tactic wasn’t quite cutting it, if you’ll pardon the expression, so now Republicans are trying to keep the holidays from coming:

So the White House is circulating a new set of talking points to outside allies and surrogates, instructing them on a new way to make this case: If Boehner has his way, the debt ceiling debate will steal Christmas.

That is if Santa hasn’t been laid off by then anyway.

The Daily Caller has more:

House Speaker and national grinch John Boehner is planning to spoil Christmas, White House officials are claiming, as they try to head off passage of Boehner’s two-stage debt ceiling bill.

“Happy Holidays America: Boehner plan would have the debt ceiling all over again during the holiday season, which is critical for the economy,” White House deputy spokesman Dan Pfeiffer declared today at 9.50 a.m.

White House political adviser David Plouffe made the same claim about Christmas almost one hour earlier when MSNBC’s Chuck Todd quizzed him about the White House’s opposition to Boehner’s two-stage debt ceiling proposal.

Jay Carney got in on the act too.

The alleged holiday economy killer can be found within the second tier of the Boehner plan:

That second round may crash into Christmas, or the “holiday,” according to the White House. The political controversy would crimp consumer confidence and slow the economy, Plouffe said.

Slow the economy? Wouldn’t want that to happen, would we? It’s even more hysterical when coming from the same party who celebrated the passage of the Obamacare law — an economy hamstringer to put it mildly — on Christmas Eve.

Boehner isn’t the first House Speaker to get the Grinch treatment, and he certainly won’t be the last.

The Dems passed that abomination called ‘Obama Care’ on Christmas Eve, even knowing that 70% of the American public opposed it. The largest transfer of power in our history from citizens TO government was done on Christmas Eve. So Christmas is just another day to the Democrat pol.
For me, it has come to this: I no longer think of a Democrat as an American. They may meet all of the technical requirements, but they have none of the love, loyalty, respect or devotion that a real American has. I think of them now as ‘paper Americans’. It is a party full of people malicious to the point of being evil. If we had a fair press that reported the facts, Dems could not get away with the grand deception they’ve played on so many of our citizens. It is a pity that more people cannot recognize that the Democrat party is now the home of America-hating alien vandals.

Both parties want to do two things:

    1. Kick the can down the road, make the cuts in 10 years or so.

    2. Don’t admit the country is bankrupt. We are defaulting now by devaluing the money by printing more fiat money.

Real inflation is over 10% and has been for over a year. Inflation is caused by monetary policy. Our money has no Gold Standard backing, so the more you print, the more it’s devalued, and the higher inflation goes.

So if you borrow a million dollars, and a few years later, you pay it back with inflated dollars worth less, you’ve already defaulted.

Will the Republicans consider and dems bill? I do believe they read it, debated it, and considered. And Reid? He immediatly put the House bill in File Thirteen.

But then, this is all according to plan. If this president WANTED us to recover our economy, he COULD FIX THIS! He is making it worse. One doesn’t have to be a genius to get it. But since half the country is brain dead, they will continue to love this POS and follow him right over the cliff.

Remember the TIME magazine cover with Newt Gringrich as the Grinch. Guess this is the left’s version of recycling. It is also very interesting to note the left’s push to eliminate God and religion out of everything except when it can be twisted to support their perverted views. Think of the inane “the Word” speech from now defrocked Pope Pelosi trying to drum up support for Obamneycare or that paragon of virtue Charlie Rangel asking what Jesus would do.

I don’t celebrate Christmas–so it is particularly snort-worthy to see a bunch of marxist, fascist, immoral, pagan scum try to stir a pot up with that spoon of lies.

Yup, and Christmas will still come for those who do celebrate it, regardless of the debt ceiling and the economy. Money to spend on presents are not necessary for the celebration.

The marxist, fascist, immoral, pagan scum are more than just stealing Christmas themselves, they are still working with fervor to obliterate Christmas altogether, and are simply playing to the dupes in their voting blocs.

Hispanic Mom Chicago Review: The Undefeated is The Tea Party

Some have wrongly assumed The Undefeated refers only to Sarah Palin. What they miss—or ignore—is that “the undefeated” is not simply singular. It is plural. The undefeated are those who don’t quit, those who refuse to stop fighting the corrupt, entrenched, cronyism of business and politics for the benefit of We The People. Yes, the undefeated is Sarah Palin. But the undefeated are also the Marty Rutherfords, the Tom Irwins of the world. The Undefeated are the people of all races, generations and political parties who long and fight for decency and honor in their government and lives.

Ultimately, the undefeated are the people of The Tea Party.

Oh, and from you know you’re a redneck when:

“World leaders have been stunned by the dysfunction in Washington that has led the United States to the brink of default. World Bank President Robert Zoellick on Friday said the United States was playing with fire.

America’s largest foreign creditor, China, has repeatedly urged Washington to protect its dollar investments and its state-run news agency on Friday said the United States had been “kidnapped” by “dangerously irresponsible” politics.”

    Dear Tea Partiers,

When you travel (not likely) to a foreign country – please wear your tea party shirts – so the people in other countries can see what kind of hillbillies we have to put up with – thanks.

Not TRY – DO! They DO use ANYTHING, including GOD, that suits advancing their agenda, if they can get away with it, and they more often than not do.

    Tea Party Crashes Washington Orgy

For Obama, the Tea Party fits in Washington like nuns at a swingers’ convention. The fiscal orgy at Club Fed just can’t continue unless the Tea Party gets the hell out. Unfortunately for Obama, we just won’t leave. How could we? We can’t afford to refuel our corporate jets.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/07/tea_party_crashes_washington_orgy.html

Liberals love spending orgies. Unfortunately for them, the Tea Party movement brought a fiscal religion revival to the continuing party at Club Fed Hedonism 2008+. And we ain’t going nowhere.

I’m sure he’d be proud to, on those rare occasions when he gets out of mom’s basement. He’s probably been alternating between his beloved Che t-shirt and his 2008 Obama Hope & Change t-shirt, you know, the ones with pizza, persperation and dribble stains on it his mom has a tough time cleaning.

He’s eargerly waiting for the 2012 Obama shirt he just bought on E-Bay, because the 2008 shirt has its seams coming out under the armpits and he can hardly make out the faded image of TEH WON through all the stains that just won’t come out despite all the washings his moms had to do.

    I agree. “Progressive” politics.
The kind that racks up generation-crushing debt through decades of deficit spending. It’s the TEA Party that’s clawing up through the dirt to find some fresh air, and an escape from the hole we’ve been held prisoner in.

Wow! The Senate might actually take up budget legislation. That would make it the first time in over 800 days that they’ve bothered to initiate any such legislation.
