    Another reason is that we despise him. A few years ago Clinton came to Hollywood Park (N. San Antonio) for a fundraiser. They had to park busses all along the streets to block the (media’s) view of the thousands of protesters and signs.

    Oh my gosh…it has come to this??? First of all, know your neighbors, get along with them, and this kind of stuff won’t happen. Secondly, I had no idea there was an ordinance about how high your back yard feeder had to be. Are they serious??? We have 6, count ‘em SIX bird feeders and two bird baths in our back yard. We have chipmunks, squirrels, ducks, deer and foxes visit frequently. We used to have rabbits, but the foxes gotta eat, ya know. We know our neighbors, and even though they are blue dog democrats, we love ‘em. A fight over bird seed is just plain moronic. In a few months, that neighbor might wish he had some of that bird seed to cook for dinner!

    So guess who gets to pay for this campaign tour? The American taxpayer, of course. And Carney Barker has to get snarky at the question.

    CNSNews.com asked Carney, “Is that a campaign event or a presidential event?

    Carney answered, “Negative. That is an official event.”

    CNSNews.com followed, “So it is being funded by taxpayers in battleground states?”

    Carney responded, “He’s the president of the United States.”

    Another reporter followed up about whether there was a political nature to the trip.

    “The air of cynicism is quite thick,” Carney shot back. “The idea that the president of the United States should not venture forth into the country is ridiculous.”

    The reporter said, “I didn’t say that.”

    Carney said, “No, but you implied it in your question. It is absolutely important for the president – whoever that person is, in the past or in the future – to get out and hear from people in different communities.”
