Update 11:04pm Eastern Sigh.

“Sen. Jim Holperin (D-Conover) held onto his seat in Tuesday’s recall vote in the 12th Senate District in northern Wisconsin.”

And fleebagger survival makes two:

“The MacIver News Service is projecting that Sen. Robert Wirch (D) has survived his #wirecall. GOP to have 17-16 Wisc Sen majority.”

It doesn’t matter who replaces those that are recalled. Choosing between a Republican and a Democrat is like choosing between death-by-freezing or death-by-burning. Both result in loss of life.

Ron Paul is the only politician that makes sense these days. He is the only one that seems to understand the need to signifigantly reduce the power and size of government.

But of course, Paul is seen as crazy, while those that continue to guarantee America’s demise by spending it into bankruptcy are seen as rational, vaiable candidates.

Look at Boehner. He claims he got most of what he wanted in his ‘debt’ reduction deal, yet was only able to muster meagre cuts over a long-time horizon, most of which are back ended toward the end of the horizon. Boehner negotiated this deal during a time in which he had major public support and one of the houses in majority. And despite what he, other polticians and every member of the media labels it, the end result was not a debt reduction deal. It was a deficit reduction deal. In other words, the debt will increase every year.

When a country has a total debt to GDP ratio near 100% and they run deficits that, as a percentage, are greater than the growth of their economy each year, it is only a matter of time before everything comes crashing down. It happened to Greece and it will happen to America.

And to those that think America can just print money to pay off their debts, ask yourself this question – ‘What happens to the value of the money you hold when more of it is printed without a corresponnding increase in the production of goods and services?’. THAT’S RIGHT! Inflation with a corresponding reduction in your ability to afford things.

I’m from WI bud had no clue so Googled it fer ya. 12 is wayyyy up on the border with MI and the Upper Peninsula. Rhinelander (They make a great beer there) and Eagle River are the only cities (towns really) – that’s about it. Very sparsely populated and chief industries would be tourism and logging.

We used to head up to the UP every winter for the skiing. The “lake efffect” off of Superior can cause almost white out blizzards while the sun is shining. Great snow for skiing.

22 is Kenosha and Racine south of Milwaukee. North Chicago South Milwaukee liberal turf for the most part.

The problem is: there is one R whom the Ds are targeting to switch to D. He voted against Walker’s bill (unions). I think his name is Schultz/Schulze? If he jumps over, then the majority goes to D. The flip side of that–he would lose any seniority he currently holds.

And that’s really the harsh reality I’ve been saying for a while and that the likes of Hugh Hewitt and Rush Limbaugh have yet to admit to themselves. I’m as conservative as the next guy and hope for the best, but there are just too many Americans who have bought into the socialist lie and it’s almost too late to re-educate them in time to make the crucial difference.

At a meeting today at work, someone leaned over to another person across the table during a lull in the convo and said, “I loved your facebook page, ‘No More Texans’!” and they both giggled with the smug satisfaction of the chic, hip, elite crowd that would rather see their country DESTROYED by the empty suit in office than have “another Texan” as president. Nevermind what the man might actually believe or have done; no, he’s on the “other side” and as such he needs to be opposed, their future and ours be damned.

It’s truly amazing that they don’t see they have a target on their back. Maybe they should spend a little less time on facebook and a little more time studying history, which would serve as fair warning.

Paul IS crazy in terms of foreign policy. His monetary policy is totally correct. I would love to see him as FED chair or Sec of Treasury. However, his foreign policy views are dangerously naive and willfully ignorant.

I was hoping for better results. To run away from responsibility like they did really shows poor ethics, etc.

Now any time a group disagrees with the majority then will run away also. They need to change the rules on whether doing that can disrupt the legislative process.

Proposed: If you leave, the vote happens anyway and assume you left because you agree with the majority and will put your vote with the majority.

We should raise taxes in those districts only. All business in those districts should be unionized immediately and all health care costs should be charged back to the citizens there. After all, they are willing fools.

Instead of fighting for all the citizens of the state, you can bet these D legislators will continue doing what D’s do best…whine, complain, demogogue, demean, ridicule, deflect, and run away from their responsibility…AND, continue trying to force public unions down the throats of taxpayers!

    Way to go, Badgers!

Rogue, I love ya, but I’m not gonna let you twist my words. That’s not what I said. Paul thinks islamist terrorists are not a threat. In that regard, he is Neville Chamberlain.
BTW, Reagan kicked Soviet tail economically and slew the evil empire. That seems to have beneficial. The fact that the weakness of subsequent leaders has undermined that victory is a tragedy.

I’m going to assume you didn’t watch the Ames debates, where paul came across as the lunatic he truly is. Let Iran have the bomb? Is he serious? We’re hurting Amapajama’s self image maybe? Come on – the vast majority of paul supporters are lame-brained college potheads who worship his call to legalize drugs. ALL drugs. “People should be able to do what they want!”, he says. Really? REALLY? Does that mean ANYTHING they want to do, Ron?
