Happy Labor Day: Top 10 union thug moments of the year; Update: Jimmy Hoffa makes the list
Scroll for updates…

As the MSM whitewashes Big Labor’s ugly threats, Tea Party smears, and history of coerced dues-subsidized racketeering this Labor Day, what better way to mark the holiday than with an illustrated list of top 10 union thug moments of the year.
10. August 16, 2011, across the Northeast. Striking Communications Workers of America declare “open season” on Verizon. Dozens of cases of sabotaged cable lines are reported.
9. February 23, 2011, Washington DC. CWA union thug strikes young female FreedomWorks activist.
8. March 1, 2011, Madison, Wisconsin. Mob rule video: Unhinged crowd corners Wisconsin GOP senator shouting “F**k you,” “Shame!” AFSCME, UFCW, SEIU:
7. August 6, 2011, Boston, MA. Local IBEW 827 storms Verizon VP Bill Foshay’s neighborhood and union members scream “We’re here to fight” in front of his private residence on a weekend afternoon.
6. February 23, 2011, Washington DC. CWA protester screams at FreedomWorks staffer for being a “bad Jew!”
5. February 27, 2011, Madison WI. Union protesters exhibit Fox News Derangement Syndrome:

Tobin said he has received much heckling, and that a teacher even told him she hates him because it made her feel good. The “utter lack of civility and harassment of reporters,” as anchor Gregg Jarrett described it, is truly breathtaking and seems like a weird strategy to try and win support for one’s cause.
And yes, they threatened to break his neck.
4. February 23, 2011, Columbus, OH. Unhinged union protester fumes: “The tea party is a bunch of d**k-sucking corporate butt-lickers who want to crush the working people of this country.”
3. March 1, 2011, Denver CO. Racist SEIU supporters taunt gay black Tea Party activist and entrepreneur Leland Robinson, who criticized teachers unions at a Capitol rally, by calling him “son,” telling him to “get behind that fence where you belong,” and jeering “Do you have any children? That you claim?”
2. February 24, 2011, Providence, R.I. Rhode Island union supporter to cameraman – “I’ll f**k you in the ass, you faggot.” The eruption starts at 7:32 in this video.
1. February 23, 2011. Democrat Rep. Michael Capuano of Mass. revs up Big Labor goons (starts at 1:50 in the video): “Get a little bloody.”

Bonus AFL-CIO thug-in-chief Richard Trumka flashbacks…
September 8, 2010: Trumka praises Nancy Pelosi for taking Obamacare and driving “it down the Republicans’ throats and out their backsides.”
September 3, 2010: Big Labor’s legacy of violence — Trumka’s bloody rise to power.
Meet Eddie York. He was a workingman whose story will never scroll across Obama’s teleprompter. A nonunion contractor who operated heavy equipment, York was shot to death during a strike called by the United Mine Workers 17 years ago. Workmates who tried to come to his rescue were beaten in an ensuing melee. The head of the UMW spearheading the wave of strikes at that time? Richard Trumka. Responding to concerns about violence, he shrugged to the Virginian-Pilot in September 1993: “I’m saying if you strike a match and you put your finger in it, you’re likely to get burned.” Incendiary rhetoric, anyone?
A federal jury convicted one of Trumka’s UMW captains on conspiracy and weapons charges in York’s death. According to the Washington, D.C.-based National Legal and Policy Center, which tracks Big Labor abuse, Trumka’s legal team quickly settled a $27 million wrongful death suit filed by York’s widow just days after a judge admitted evidence in the criminal trial. An investigative report by Reader’s Digest disclosed that Trumka “did not publicly discipline or reprimand a single striker present when York was killed. In fact, all eight were helped out financially by the local.”
In Illinois, Trumka told UMW members to “kick the s**t out of every last” worker who crossed his picket lines, according to the Nashville (Ill.) News. And as the National Right to Work Foundation (pdf), the leading anti-forced unionism organization in the country, pointed out, other UMW coalfield strikes resulted in what one judge determined were “violent activities … organized, orchestrated and encouraged by the leadership of this union.”
Trumka washed off the figurative bloodstains and moved up the ranks. As AFL-CIO secretary, he notoriously refused to testify in a sordid 1999 embezzlement trial involving his labor boss brethren at the Teamsters Union. No surprise. Thugs of a feather: Trumka’s violence-promoting record echoes the riotous Teamsters strikes dating back to the 1950s, when the union organized taxicab companies to target workers with gas bombs, bottles and fists.
And now, Trumka is spearheading a Democratic Party get-out-the-vote campaign by far-left groups — publicized in the revolutionary Marxist People’s World — to “energize an army of tens of thousands who will return to their neighborhoods, churches, schools and voting booths to prevent a Republican takeover of Congress in November and begin building a new permanent coalition to fight for a progressive agenda.”
Take those as literal fighting words. The bloody consequences of compulsory unionism cannot be ignored.

Update: Aw, Jimmy Hoffa must have looked at my list and been jealous that he didn’t warrant a mention. Congrats, Jimmy. You made honorable mention for today’s performance: “‘President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let’s take these son of bitches out ‘…”

How many White House visits has this guy had? As many as Ayers?
Probably more than Ayers, but less than the Acorn guy. The fact that many of these unions cannot compete honestly and openly, but seem to always fall back on bribery and violence, is why their numbers are falling. There used to be a place for them, but they’ve become nothing but “muscle” for the far left.
Great reporting, Michelle. Despite these violent tactics, union membership is still declining. Which is probably good news for the nation and for honest workers.
Did you read the sad story related to the Post Office?
“decades of contractual promises made to unionized workers, including no-layoff clauses, are increasing the post office’s costs. Labor represents 80 percent of the agency’s expenses, compared with 53 percent at United Parcel Service and 32 percent at FedEx, its two biggest private competitors. Postal workers also receive more generous health benefits than most other federal employees.”
So, in summary, what is the cause?
DUH ! ! !
So, in summary, what is the solution?
DUH ! ! !
It seems uions know just 2 methods of communicon; violence and profanity.
So where is bho celebrating Labor Day? Giving another speech with his union thug foto!
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/obama-to-deliver-jobs-speech-dress-rehearsal-at-detroit-afl-cio-rally/
L
If MM was able to pull these 10 examples so quickly for this year alone, how big would the report be if she went back, oh maybe 50 years?
There is a tend here somewhere….
And thug leadership has always denied any connection to any said events.
Great summary videos, thanks Michelle.
Nice recap Michelle. First, this goes to show that the hypocrisy of the left knows no boundaries. They accuse every conservative group like the TP of doing exactly what they do all the time. Second: that when history has recorded and analyzed these times, history will show that the utter corruption of the press in this Country was one of the biggest reasons why liberalism could not be destroyed. The media’s outright lying, and non-reporting of stories that put libs in a bad light, got Obama in the WH, and continues to put this Marxist creep within shouting distance of a second term, when his ratings should be in the 20′s. If he were repub they prob would be.
One of the things I think is interesting about the attempted intimidation of reporters and camera operators for Fox News is that they are probably also union members. Ironic, huh.
sbw999, boy is that true! Reminds me of those man-on-the-street interviews where conservative policies are attributed to liberal pols. All are for it! Voters, so informed … sheesh.
Perhaps someone needs to tell the unions that the illegal alien traffic is taking away American jobs. The border would be closed by striking workers in about 2 hours.
Oh…wait a minute. That was mere hyperbole. Sorry, when I heard the union leaders claim they were doing everything for the working American, little did I realize that meant bribing the Democrat party or to line their own pockets.
Silly me.
I am a bit nostalgic and rather sad today. I used to celebrate Labor Day as a person who has worked all my adult life. My husband worked at the same job for 40 years and he worked very hard. Now I find out that you are not part of the “working class” unless you belong to a union. All these years I thought I was a working person. Now I find out I was merely playing at working and not actually working at all. Sigh.
In my Sunday Reading, PA Eagle, there was a pro-union pamphlet among the usual advertising junk. The most notable part was where they tried to justify the continued existence of Pennsylvania’s ridiculously outdated state-owned liquor store system. Among other things, they claimed that to privatize the system would cost 5,000 (public sector) jobs. At the same time, they warned that there would be twice as many stores after privatization. HUH?! That means there would be TWICE AS MANY new jobs available, yes? But I guess they wouldn’t all be UNION, which is all that matters in the Soviet Republic of Pennsylvania.
Unions are nothing but legalized Mafia !
MM would need an extra webserver for that one page alone!
Trumbka and the unions are intent on bringing European-style government-wedded unions to America. Here is an interesting interview with historian Hans-joachim Voth in the latest Der Speigel predicting growing violence in Europe as austerity takes hold.
And the American unions aren’t the only ones threatening violence if they don’t get their way. So are most black politicians, latino activists, LGBT activists, and the rest. They don’t have the numbers of their European contemporaries (who are in the majority) but they are determined and they mean it. They can only prevail if our corrupt establishment (which includes the Republicans) leads the way.
CORRECTION:
My husband didn’t work at the same JOB for 40 years, he worked at the same company! He DID move up in the ranks!! I just didn’t want you to think he was in the same boring job for 40 years! That made him sound like he had no ambition. He was a manager in various capacities over the years. My husband doesn’t read this blog…at least, I don’t think he does, but I sure don’t want to make him look bad!
No one knows less about labor than members of labor unions. It is the union structure that allows them to stand around, sit around, fool around, and goof around. The malicious, threatening gorillas shown in the videos are some of the bolshevik true believers who have taken over the leadership postions in the ‘unions’. Union members must open their eyes and take back their organizations from the alien creeps who preside over them now.
“Look for the union label”.What happens if you don’t? Kneecap meets ball bat?
I’m looking at it from a street level perspective. Some of the guys in these videos appear to be outside the union,(Vendors) if you will. Street muscle. A hired hand.
Excellent compilation, MM.
Of course, prez ZERO will spend the day campaigning and pandering to his thuggish buddies. What a disgrace. Happy Labor Day to those who still have a job!
I know there is a God because he gave me a guardian angel who keeps me away from things like women getting hit in the 1st video. Otherwise, that union punk would have been the recipient of years of suppressed rage against anti-American socialists.
We’re at a real disadvantage because if we did anything similar to the left the media would be all over us and we would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Why is it that patriots are kept in line with aggressive prosecution while the left isn’t?
Our glorious Community Organizer in Chief says “if they bring a knife, you bring a gun”. I’d say utter lack of civility is the name of the game.
My husband’s job forces him to be in a union. We get the Labor Tribune every month and all the brown shirt literature that comes with it. It goes in the trash. I suspect that many who get it feel like we do but they’ve learned to keep their opinions to themselves.
Reminds me of 1933. Another time and another place.
***
Jimmy Hoffa (swimming with the fishies? Under home plate at Tiger Stadium?) and his corrupt Teamsters Union were famous for shooting and dynamiting truckers who crossed his picket lines. With strong Mafia ties and looting of the worker’s pension funds.
***
Trumka and his goons are fitting replacements for the deceased Hoffa. In the old days the Federal Government took down Hoffa’s empire and put federal accountants in charge of the pension funds. Now Trumka and his ilk are “mobbed up” with Comrade Obama, our National Labor Relations Board (Boeing S.C. plant lawsuit), etc.

Jimmy would be proud. And as far as violence–what goes around can come around also. Be careful what you wish for!

Obama’s Newest Worst Idea Ever–Fannie II
February 2009 brought us Barack Obama’s “stimulus” plan–$800 billion worth of progressive agenda-packed deficit spending that produced zero economic improvement and increased the national debt.
One year later, President Obama offered the American people a $3.8 trillion 2011 budget that increased the national debt by another $1.3 trillion
The Wall Street Journal nicely encapsulates The One’s newest fiscal absurdity. Obama wants to see “Congress create a ‘bank’ that could borrow huge sums with only a small federal outlay and would be independent of any political interference.” The bank would allegedly “stimulate” the economy by funding public works projects and jobs that would otherwise go unfunded. The WSJ points out that the tactic would result in unions and construction companies benefiting from the same taxpayer largesse–a recipe for another subprime-like economic meltdown. The Journal also observes that an infrastructure bank would end up functioning just as characterized by Connecticut Democrat Rosa DeLauro in 2008, as a “public private partnership like Fannie Mae.”
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/09/obamas_newest_worst_idea_ever–fannie_ii.html
Yet chances are good that the DeLauro-Obama union-construction marriage will present America with a replay of the ACORN-Obama Fannie-Freddie-banking debacle that killed the U.S. economy. But in this new murder, the American people would get a bonus. Obama has given us a heads-up, so we’ll d know exactly what to look for as the latest crony-capitalist nightmare unfolds right before our eyes–and in pursuit of our wallets.
Stop already with the, “There once was a place for unions…” crap; what a bunch of bull!
Unions were a scam from the very start! From day-one the mobsters exploited the workers and pretended to be their friends.
It just ceases to amaze me that people in this day and age are still dumb-enough to belong to one (let alone give them money).
Why do you think the mob has always been involved in union matters? Because unions have always been a criminal organization; that’s why!
Why is this not RICO?
I also reject the myth that labor unions were necessary and positive at one time. They’re rooted in Marxist philosophy and I cannot find any “good” in that.
You need to re-read your history. Henry Ford hired mobsters and corrupt police to beat up workers before the unions did.
If you are trying to make a case based on “good guys vs bad guys”, you will find history very unsatisfying. There was a time in our history when crony capitalism had corrupted everything and was threatening to re-enslave us all.
Maybe you don’t approve of unions but when people unit around a common cause to protect their rights and freedom, you can call it what you want. Sometimes they form unions. Marriage is a union too. You are allowing a word to cloud your judgment.
I seem to remember reading an article (WSJ?) that a union group had 2 pension plans. One for management and one for the workers. The “worker” pension plan was losing money. The “management” pension plan was making money.
Go figure……

The Gibson CEO talks:
http://www.alphecca.com/?p=776
Remember that Juszkiewicz contributes to Republican candidates. The CEO of Martin Guitars contributes to Democrats. Both get their sawn wood from the same suppliers in India. Martin Guitars was not raided.
The current administration is totally corrupt and inept in economic matters. They’re pretty good at keeping the union guys happy, though. Just ask Boeing. Oh yeah, Gibson is not unionized.
Obama: The Job Killer in Chief.
‘scapper – I am sure your husband is a wonderful guy (after all, he was lucky to marry you). If he has any faults at all, it would be those skillet-caused dents in his skull.
The illegal aliens are the target of the union recruitment drive. How else, apart from public sector employees, are they going to expand their membership?
Another perfect, PROVABLE case of government harrassment of innocent citizens. And WHY isn’t this blatant thuggery and hypocrisy going viral on the news? Media corruption, that’s why. They are no longer even pretending that they aren’t covering up for these criminals. It is such a perfect case of what this administration is doing to its “enemies”, if the public was made aware of this, we would be much closer to defeating it. The media can’t allow that! An honest, open, democratic republic prospering under capitalism? Can’t have that now, can we? Spit. I want the water carriers ALL prosecuted…every single one!
Sorry for the double post. Must’ve hit the “double” button instead of the “single” button.
Pasadena Phil: It’s “bad guys vs bad guys”. The unions have their “dirty” cops and the companies have their “dirty cops”, hitmen too.
Also the search for a “clean” politican is useless. Their are none. “Cleaner” maybe.
Everyone is out to make life better for themselves and their family. In that struggle some are more violent then others.
In Arizona (and I am sure other places), union members don’t even picket outside. They hire non-union (probably illegal immigrants) to stand outside and protest.
I guess the union is hiring the people to demonstrate against the things that their people won’t protest.
The unions never got strong here, probably because it is hard to yell, picket and employ brass knuckles when it’s more that 100 degrees outside.
The economy can no longer support protecting workers who do not work up to their full potential. Unions are about making everyone “equal”. When everyone is “equal”, productivity goes down because the risk of being fired and incentive to work harder are eliminated. Job security is imposed and performance rewards are removed. The unions have caused the workers to be viewed, not as individuals but as a group. The group then has to provide the value to the company. That value will go down as the productivity declines. Competition is what allows the individual to provide value and be compensated for that value. Unions cost too much, demand too much and provide little value. What a festering disease they have become. Socialist beliefs create a death spiral for all.
Are Hoffa and Trumka the “angry white males” Big Sis is always referring to in cautioning us about the biggest threat of terrorism America faces? Her side is the only side threatening violence.
Personally, if I was mowed down by establishment goons during a peaceful 10-million march on DC, I would consider that an honorable death. We really need that American Tianenman Square event in this country. We need to prove that either we ARE free or that we are still willing to die fighting for freedom. We are fighting for our freedom. Civil disobedience is NOT an exclusive monopoly of leftists. It works the other way around too. Freedom is freedom.
COGS said:It just ceases to amaze me that people in this day and age are still dumb-enough to belong to one let alone give them money.
A few years back I got a job at the track repairing betting machines. I was told in order to keep it I had to join the Union. That is why some people still do it COGS. Needless to say, I went back to my old position that didn’t require me to be union.
Obama is giving a jobs speech in Detroit right now. Click here to watch.
I agree. Union membership is in decline everywhere except with government employees. They represent only about 20% of the work force in America. They are getting clobbered in those states like CA that have to cut back state government spending and if we could stop the federal efforts to unionize HSA and other new giant bureaucracies, they would be shrinking much faster.
America has decided that we don’t want unions. And they should be outlawed for government employees. The government represents taxpayers and we can’t have the government accepting political contributions to fight against the taxpayers.
BTW, Obama is deep-sixing any chance his speech on Thursday will be anything more than a campaign speech. He is clearly the thug-in-chief after today. This is the speech of a Marxist standing up to “the system” as an outsider. He should be making this speech standing in the middle of the street shouting through a bullhorn at the Ford HQ building.
He should be making a speech reassuring the 80% of working people that he is not anti-business. This is the job-killing machine in full glory. Remember. Let’s get it right THIS year so we are not again asked to hold our noses next year to vote for “our” version of crooked politician in a different uniform.
In 1956-57 I joined my first union working as a milk truck delivery driver. Our union rep told all the new people, including me, to do anything we thought we could get away with, to sabotage our competitor.
We were told to inject milk bottles (with paper tops then) with hypodermic needles (provided) and a substance to make milk go bad (also provided)immediately. Also to steal milk to anger competitor’s customers, flatten the tires on their trucks, put sugar in their gas tanks, anything to put a crimp in their operation.
I refused to go along with these tactics and was eventually threatened by fellow union members, at the instigation of the union rep.
I quit after seven months because I did not want to be a part of such a corrupt business, even though I was a new father at the time and also I felt my personal safety was in jeopardy. (end part one)
Big Government had something a few weeks ago about a guy who was shot because his shop was non-union. Surely that should have made the top ten list?
Anyone want to bet that the GOP poindexters will take forever to respond to this call for violence against non-unionized Americans? Rombama already has his finger up testing the wind while Perrybush is praying. Palin will probably have something quote worthy to set the pace before the next hour.
SPOT.ON!
From 1957-59 I was a union member as a grocery store checker. The union was fairly benign, got along with management and we never felt the need to even threaten a strike.
In 1959-60 I was a security officer for a major rocket propulsion plant, with over 2,000 employees, about 1,200 of which were union members. I was not.
They threatened strikes frequently, that were averted because the company did everything for the government at cost, plus 10 percent and just upped their contracts accordingly. That gravy train went down the tubes long ago. (end part two)
Spoken like a true assistant democrat Phildo
Yaymm, you had lots of courage to do what you did. Way to go.
Beer & a shot on me the next time you are in Houston.
Regards,
Peter H.
Just after calling for Congress to set aside their partisan differences, Obama is now attacking the Republicans with his usual inflammatory lies. Hail Mary pass. We’ll be seeing lots of those. It is standard Marx/Engels which starts with the French Revolution where Robespierre preached that violence is a virtue.
Oh, like you!
In 1960 I began a fifty year career in law enforcement in the same community. We had to monitor strikes from the plant I had worked for. They got ugly and dangerous, but I never got hurt, even though I was forced to defend myself a few times.
We also did strike monitor duty for a large soup manufacturer. We had the union members throwing things at us for days, including broken glass. We were well equipped though and only suffered a few minor injuries. Those were my experiences with unions until the early 70′s. (end part three)
Ah my personal troll has arrived with its usual chorus of ad hominems! You know you are scoring big when you have your own personal troll. Like Ragspierre before him, he follows me around. I’ll let the rational people who read these threads figure it out for themselves. And to you droogs who are inclined to chime in support to this noseholder, you are judged by the company you keep.
Phildo I follow your pathetic ass nowhere. Just point out your lying liberal remarks over here.
For over twenty years I was deeply involved with collective bargaining, from the management side of the table, with four different law enforcement agencies. One of them was very militant. The other three fairly reasonable.
I was convinced at the outset in 70′s, that unions were counter-productive to the provision of law enforcement and other government services, because the unions had all the power and the people paying the bills had none. I agree with Franklin Delano Roosevelt that there should be no unionization of public employees.
They will scream and shout that the union is all between them and bad public managers. Not true. Civil Service rules, labor laws at the State and Federal level, as well as established court cases, provide ample protection to public employees.
Furthermore, bad public managers who may try to take advantage of employees are dwindling, in part due to civil liability, court cases from the past and more enlightened, better trained top level public managers who are willing to fire, or demote bad managers.
Poor performance among union members is protected by the union to the max, often in the face of overwhelming evidence of bad behavior, sometimes including criminal behavior. I know, as I have been involved in a number of such cases in arbitration hearings. (end of part four)
In my estimation, one of the biggest obstacles to constraining public budgets is unionization, whether it’s teachers, law enforcement, or public works, etc. There is never such a thing as enough.
There is rarely a contract renewal negotiation where the union says “we realize things are tough and we’re doing pretty well, so we’ll settle for what we’ve got, or even give up some pay, or benefits. And without State Law that says otherwise, union contracts supercede State Law in most States.
Government will continue to eat us alive, until this situation changes. Wisconsin has started the ball rolling. I doubt many other State Legislatures have the same kind of backbone, so I don’t expect major changes any time soon. (end of rant)
Peter Hughes, thanks for the offer. I don’t expect to be in Houston for a long, long time, if ever. So instead, I’ll do a beer and shot myself, around 5:00 PM this evening.
Nice posts
Have you ever seen this by Democratic adviser Pat Cadell and David Horowitz?
Phil and OK, please knock off the personal sniping. It has been tiresome for quite some time.
Michelle:
You’re going to have to expand the
“Top XX Union Thug Moments” to include today’s highlights from Detroit.
There are some real winners.
I won’t tolerate a liar posing as a conservative, maybe you will. Sorry.
Another union story:
I belonged to a union in the ’70′s, and was even a shop steward.
They started screwing with me, so I simply resigned from the union. I still filed my own grievances when I had any. But, the union officials required me to be a member to process them beyond the preliminary steps. So I re-joined the union for the purpose of processing the grievances, and once resolved, quit again.
I was despised, but they got my message, and not my money.
.
Hey Obama…guess what! The JIG.IS.UP!
(Is that racist?)
Anyone think the illegal alien thug-in-chief can out thug this union thug?
http://www.drudgereport.com/
I can call it many things, but never “labor union”. All a labor union is is organized blackmail.
It is an anti-capitalist response to anti-capitalist practices.
Nope
BOB: Nope, that general would eat Obama’s lunch for breakfast, no less.
There’s no hesitation with the Israelis.
No, it’s a construction (woodworking?) term, IIRC.
So, King Putt has found his army: unions, aka The Devil’s Army.
The thing that is making me crazy these days is this constant drum beat of “everyone is tired of the bickering in DC. They just want everyone to compromise”. Bullfeathers. Even FOX is spewing that nonsense. So what exactly does compromise mean? We all know. It means, GIVE IN! Hell no! You don’t compromise with regressives. You defeat them! Compromise is what got us into this mess!
I keep hearing this crap over and over every time I turn around. The people on the right are obstructionists. They are “holding the economy hostage”, they are making everything political. This is blatant slander! We are being strong-armed by mafia thugs who are currently in POWER with a capital P. And we are the ones holding hostages? This is why so many republicans back down and give in. They are browbeaten and criticized relentlessly until they can’t take it any more.
I pray every day for our Tea Party representatives, and those republicans with a backbone to stay strong and keep fighting. This is not easy, and it is going to get harder and harder, culminating in a very violent confrontation. Count on it.
Armor takes many forms for different people, but I choose to take on the armor of Christ, as it is the only way to come out of this triumphant.
Ephesians 6:11
Actually, it means that the game is over…you have been exposed, outed, found out”. Bing it.
I know what it means. It originated in woodworking.
Again, iirc, when you could see the jig, (or maybe the end of the jig) you were finished with the piece.
I like that one happy.
And I look forward to the next Tea Party here in our area, union thugs are welcome. Really.
I’ll keep sayin’ it til the day I die: the Communist Party USA, for many decades now, has supported all unions to the point of dispatching agitators to each and every strike site in the world. Therefore, Unions = Communists!!!
And who do unions support, boys and girls? Democrats, period. So the equation goes: DEMOCRATS = Marxist/Communists, period!?!?!
Oh yeah, this so-called jobs bill will benefit ONLY unions!!! So the other 90% of Americans can just go fly a kite in this piece-of-crap “Jobs” speech. Thank you, Mr. Jackass-In-Chief, for representing All Americans. NOT!?!
Interesting, Hiraghm. I did not know that.
Well, we’ve known from the beginning what his POTUS is all about. As time has gone by, he is exposing his agenda more and more. He very openly supports his cronies and persecutes his enemies. Remember the auto dealerships who were shut down? MOST were republican-owned. The shut-downs made no sense, as they kept less successful ones open and closed the ones with thriving businesses. And of course, there is the guitar factory.
Obama has called anyone who doesn’t agree with his agenda his “enemies”. Watch the video. He thinks our law enforcement officers act stupidly, even when he doesn’t have the facts. He is a racist who is pushing cronyism, class warfare and redistribution. He tried to deny it before he was elected, but now the mask is off.
If this man is re-elected after showing us exactly who and what he is, the American Dream will be over.
By the way,
What is the difference between Obama and Trumpka?
Don’t be surprised at Fox News. They are, at best, “controlled opposition” for the illegal dictator wannabe, with emphasis on “controlled”.
I recommend turning them off.
Off topic…
Will someone please get out the duct tape and a strait jacket for this woman? She is stark raving cuckoo!!

Precisely! Well said.
Bust the unions, starve the money laundering arm of the democrap party!
We have enough problems here in the Detroit area; didn’t need to import a bomb-thrower from DC (or Kenya). There were protests here recently because Gov Snyder signed a bill into law that caps the number of years an individual can receive cash assistance. Good it’s about time.
First of all, when you are right, you’re right. Any compromise with what is right, leaves you with something that is less than right and maybe even wrong. We know what is right. So do the Liberals, they just don’t like it and will resist it with all their might.
Their main goal is to force the “compromise” they bank on to get what they want incrementally and it has worked for decades. I’m hoping Boehner and group have finally learned this. Give them an inch and we lose an inch. Give them a mile and we lose a mile. Stop it!
sorry michelle, but i think the top ten needs to be updated, after jimmy, and barak in michigan. i would say, push the rest down a peg, and put today’s two at the top. first saying we need to be eliminated, then to have our president agree with that, wow!!
Yes it seems as though our esteemed POS POTUS has decided to come completely out of the mafia closet and reveal his plan. The gloves are off. BRING IT ON, you Kenyan poser!
WHO IS BARRY SOETORO?? We are finding out exactly who and what he is!
Regarding Communists in unions, when I was in my early teens, I lived in Berkeley, CA., then a beautiful, fairly non-political city, with a modicum of culture and one of the most respected Univerities in the Country.
South Berkeley was nearly all Black, the people warm, friendly and generous and the neighborhoods beautifully maintained (unlike now). At the time though, two of my best friends lived in a Communist household in South Berkeley. How do I know? My friends proudly admitted it to me and I overheard the conversations of the people who attended their parent’s frequent Communist cell meetings in their home. We were shuttled off to the kids bedroom during the meetings.
The school I attended with those friends was 60% Black, 40% Cacuasian and one Mexican! This was 1949.
I personally overheard participants claiming they needed to fire up the Negro people and make them feel oppressed by the Jim Crow Laws of the day (which were not even felt in the Black community in Berkeley, CA.).
They also said they needed to continue infiltrating the labor unions, until they could gain control of them, but it had to be done quietly and over time. They were working on the railroad and the shipyard unions at the time.
My point being, they have not just been at this for a decade or two, they’ve been at it since at least shortly after WWII. We may never know who the sleepers are, because they are so well entrenched and trusted. Nevertheless, they are there and are working against us just as diligently today, as they were yesterday.
And I am no red baiter. My long gone mother was regrettably, a communist sympathizer, until West Germany erected the Berlin Wall. Somehow, that got to her and she turned pure Democrat for the rest of her life. Rest in peace, my poor misguided mom.
I imagine the process of whittling the list down to ten must not have been easy, Michelle.
yaymm, thanks for relating your experiences. Regarding your comment—
—my thoughts are very similar on this. I feel that the multitudes of labor laws on the books do a lot to protect not just public employees, but workers in general, so unions have mostly outlived their usefulness. Yes, some companies take advantage of loopholes and breaks, squeezing through the gaps in our laws. However, a lot of the problem has to do with a lack of law enforcement–how some American businesses still manage to use illegal aliens as labor, for instance.
Unions fight to get better wages and benefits for their members*, but the lines they draw are often so high that businesses look elsewhere, often toward other nations, in order to cut down on costs imposed by excessive union demands. Those demands are big reasons why most of the American auto industry is flailing to stay afloat. They also factor into why state governments are going broke. We can’t ignore the role that the excessive union entitlement philosophy plays in our current economic struggles.
Contrary to what many people believe, union workers are not necessarily higher quality workers, but generally, they are better compensated workers. I would argue that nonunion workers have greater drive because they want to impress. They hope to be rewarded for their hard work. When someone else is fighting your battles for you, why work harder? These days, people should be grateful to be employed at all.
Some people despise capitalism because it’s a merit-based system where other people determine if you deserve what you get, which means that you’re forced to compete with others. Like it or not, that’s how life works, even outside of employment. If I think you’re not doing enough to gain my favor, then you don’t deserve a reward from me. Do I want you to fail? No. I want you to do a better job. I want you to work to the best of your ability. I want you to impress me. And I expect the same treatment in return. When the collective tells me that all their individuals are equal in quality and effort and therefore deserve equal respect and treatment, I will vehemently disagree.
It is unfair when the slacker gets treated the same as the producer simply because he has a beating heart. Don’t just tell us why you’re as good if not better than the next person–show us. But you must also let the next person have a chance to show us what they can do, too.
Today, instead of just celebrating all workers, let’s celebrate those workers who have earned our appreciation.
*As long as the members are paying their dues. After all, unions need money to survive just like everybody else. Darn this money-based system of ours!
Obama says there’s a million construction workers ready to go to work on these infrastructure jobs.
So… just how many bricklayers will they need to resurface these highways and rebuild these bridges? How many roofers? Drywallers? Plumbers? Carpenters?
Obama’s ignorant mentality is partly a result of the influx of illegals into the country, turning craftsmen into a synonym for manual laborers.
Yes, yes and yes.
CO2, unless the union organizers are absolute morons, they must realize that the things you put to words are the reasons why union membership is so low and getting lower in the private sector.
They cannot do much to impact that in their favor though, because those very issues you mention pull the props out from under them. As a result, they have taken on the public sector and done a good job of making them feel victimized and oppressed by their government managers and elected officials.
As government budgets get cut back (and they are going to get cut back way more severely than they have this year in the next few years)government employees are going to have to choose between a union that forces layoffs because of their demands in the bargaining process, or keeping a job with fewer benefits and pay raises.
It will not be pretty. Wisconsin is a sign of things to come. But they will have to choose. State and local government have been banking on the largess of the Federal government for a long time. That (our) money tree is getting chopped down. State and locals will not be able to maintain the Cadillac level of government services that they (and the demanding public have insisted upon) have been able to provide in the past.
Those times are gone…gone….gone.
And now scumbag nitwit Biden compares the TP and conservatives to “barbarians at the gate”. It is really time to take the gloves off. Moabama wanted civility in speech, but only meant for repubs. Well **ck that. I want my politicians fighting fire with fire. Let them know what we think THEY are in no uncertain terms.

Jesse Jackson on Tea Party: This is a Civil War struggle
At a Congressional Black Caucus Town Hall a few days ago in Los Angeles, Jesse Jackson told the audience that the Fort Sumter Tea Party supports the Tenth Amendment, or as he calls it, the slave amendment. Because of this, their fight against the Tea Party is a Civil War struggle. He asks “are you with the Union or the states’ rightists?”
http://www.therightscoop.com/jesse-jackson-on-tea-party-this-is-a-civil-war-struggle/
This is just more of the absurd, over the top, smear-filled rhetoric being leveled against the Tea Party. They know their days are numbered so they are throwing everything they have. And again I ask, are they trying to start a violent movement with this kind of rhetoric?
Yeah they are “trying to start a violent movement with this kind lf rhetoric”,without your question mark, Green eyed lady. The unions and socialists are very good employing violence.
The communist infiltrated unions are, in a big way, responsible for the marxists and communists that have infiltrated the government as a whole.
Biden has openly admitted on several occasions that he owes the unions along with his son, who is AG of Connecticut.
Can you say ‘bought and paid for’? I know it might be a shocker for some…
yaymm (#94), excellent points. A house built on sinking ground cannot maintain its height.
One example of what happens when staunch union demands harm its members is when the teachers’ union in Milwaukee preferred to see hundreds of their members laid off instead of going along with the new bargaining law in Wisconsin. Of course, the Left complained that the layoffs were Walker and the GOP’s fault. If I was one of those laid off teachers, I would not-so-politely be asking the union, “Why didn’t you guys comply with the new law? I’d still have my job!”
To the unions, sacrificing the few is simply collateral damage when demanding privileges (not rights) for the whole, especially if they think they can—whoop! whoop! incendiary/racist rhetoric alert!—stuff the dagger into someone else’s hand on the pyramid’s altar.
They’re morons to think that the rest of us can afford to keep our mouths shut and let them get their way. So regardless, they’re morons…absolutely.
All they have left is thuggery. They are so screwed. This is a last ditch effort to generate some enthusiasm among their ranks. They have to do this becasue liberal voters are as enthused about Obama as they are about cleaning their toilet.
Stay calm, be ready and laugh athtem. Tehy are losing ….. big time.
I haven’t seen an Obama bumper sticker for a long time. Even my black neighbor who campaigned for him has taken down the Obama signs from her balcony. No one fared worse under Obama than blacks and unions are not helping around here. Blacks were the last hired by the government employee unions and are finding themselves the first to go as government payrolls are pared.
And non-union trades that had been dominated by blacks, like the drywall trade, have been taken over by illegal immigrants thanks to Mad Maxine and just about everyone else in government.
