Attaaaaack Waaaaaaatch; Update: The laughter continues

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 14, 2011 12:15 PM

This is simply brilliant.

Ezra Dulis and Misfit Politics with Brandon Morse cranked out a quick, hilarious rejoinder to Obama’s 4th Brigade of Snitch.

Humor is always the best revenge.

Watch Attaaaaack Waaaaaatch. YouTube gold:

The Obama 4th BoS will never live this down.

More Attaaaack Waaaaatch fail via The Hill:

A new Twitter hashtag designed to help fight misinformation against President Obama appears to have backfired in early use on Wednesday.

…The hashtag was already in heavy rotation by Twitter users by Wednesday morning, but many users are conservatives such as columnist Michelle Malkin, who offered up her own daily column as an example of an Obama “attack.”

The website is meant to be “the first line of defense against a barrage of misinformation,” according to an email from Obama’s campaign manager announcing the launch on Tuesday.

More on Obama’s laaaaaaughingstock:

Obama for America national field director Jeremy Bird told ABC News that the site’s goal is to offer “resources to fight back” against attacks. Mostly, that means fact checking statements from the likes of GOP presidential contenders Mitt Romney and Rick Perry and conservative commentator Glenn Beck and offering evidence to the contrary. The site is designed in bold red and black colors, and uses statements like “support the truth” and “fight the smears.”

The response to the site has been less than stellar.

On Twitter, where the Web site has an account to help Obama supporters submit evidence of “attacks” on the president using the hashtag #attackwatch, nearly every tweet about the site has ridiculed it.

“There’s a new Twitter account making President Obama look like a creepy, authoritarian nutjob,” an Arizonan tweeted. “In less than 24 hours, Attack Watch has become the biggest campaign joke in modern history,” a contributor to conservative blog The Right Sphere wrote.

Commenter Fuzzy: “Notice how WAPO’s article on this, “Attack Watch, new Obama campaign site to ‘fight smears,’ becomes laughing stock of the Internet” is NOW called “Attack Watch, new Obama campaign site to ‘fight smears,” becomes laughing stock OF CONSERVATIVES”? Gee, I wonder what happened there? Luckily, we all have the original title screen grabbed, tweeted, and/or in our readers.”

Update: Readers and friends are sending their Attack Watch poster designs. Obama can finally claim success — the Hilarity Stimulus is working!

I think the Obama Administration needs to think outside the box.

    Here is a vision:

The Obama Administration partners with Mayor Bloomberg to install solar powered, battery back up “telescreens” all over NYC. These are jointly sponsored by DHS and Attack Watch. The built in cameras could be used to spot any potential terrorist or anti-Obama activity that may occur in the city that warrants an immediate response from either DHS or the Obama campaign.

The TV portion can provide continuos facts on the terror threat while countering all of the “lies” about the “Dear Leader.”

Since “See Something, Say Something” is the motto of both DHS and Attack Watch, there is a real win-win-situation, while creating Green Jobs.

If this proves sucessful, this can be expanded to other cities like Boston, Chicago, Detriot, Dearborn, Miami, LA, Denver, etc. etc.

If Carter had won re-election in 1980, then 1984 would have been just about right on schedule.

Reagan turned back the clock about three decades by appointing conservatives to judicial nominations and cabinet positions. With the Democratic Socialists winning the House, filibuster-prof Senate, and Presidency in 2008, they put us on a bullet train to national socialism.

2010 was about putting the brakes on that train. But it’s going to take 2012 (and maybe even 2014) to get conservative control of the House, filibuster-prof Senate, and Presidency in order to turn this ship of state around.

It’s not so scary to me as it is confusing – what does the Regime plan to do with the info they collect? Will they send out their civilian army to “re-educate” all the citizens that are snitched on at the site? Seriously – I’d love to know what the plan is. Say there are 20 million American citizens that get reported (or report themselves – haha) – will they “create” jobs going door to door to speak to the 20 million citizens to glean more info from them? Will they round them all up and send them to “camps”? I’m genuinely curious about what they would do with the information.

Is this maybe their most recent attempt at the Fairness Doctrine? Someone please advise if you have any ideas. Thanks!

what does the Regime plan to do with the info they collect? Will they send out their civilian army to “re-educate” all the citizens that are snitched on at the site?

Don’t most govt. depts already have their very own SWAT teams now? A few select publically reported raids and perse, er, prosecutions should be effective enough to keep most people in line without the need of expensive re-education for the moment anyway.

I can visualize SWAT teams ordered into action, once they find out where we all live. :)

Again, that will be erected in front of the White House just as soon as he wins re-election as our President for Life, next November.

Minature replicas of it will be also be required for each household ObamaShrine for daily worship.

Luckily, we all have the original title screen grabbed, tweeted, and/or in our readers.

Dead pool: How long before Obama’s campaign flushes Attack Watch down the toilet?

Not only are major papers running headlines about the site becoming a laughingstock, even respected liberals are admitting that they would have flipped out had Bush tried something similar. Place your bets: How much longer can the PR beating go on before someone throws in the towel? Ace thinks it’ll be gone — or at least substantially overhauled to rid it of the “snazzy Gestapo color scheme” — by 6 p.m. ET. I’m thinking they’re going to stick with it for the long haul for the reason MKH gives here:

Design regression from Fight the Smears to #AttackWatch is metaphor for Obama 08 vs. 12. Same product, subtract style, sprinkle desperation.
