Perhaps your issue is really something different. Maybe you just want to criticise your political opponents on this site by ridiculing their beliefs. Maybe it makes you feel superior somehow. I go back Bialek’s rendition of what happened. She said Cain was reaching under here skirt attempting to grope her genitals while simultaneously pressing her head down toward his crotch. This would result in a head but of grand proportions. I don’t believe her for a minuet. This sounds like a couple of high school kids at the drive-in (Cultural reference) not a polished executive. Her story is full of holes.
All I can say about Allred is….well, damn!!! can you stay off camera long enough for your client to make her statement?…..not even a very good vaudeville act….
I am troubled by this.
This sends a very poor message to women. Do not report harrassment/sexual aggression until it is too late to do anything about it. (Well at least concerning the Chicago woman.)

Cain is not currently my candidate, but the fact remains that these are the same people who protected Slick Willie (and his slick willie) when confronted with REAL incidents that were RECENT and INFINTELY WORSE than the mud that’s being slung at Mr. Cain.
This is nothing more or less than what was done to Clarence Thomas, and it is perfect left-wing form.
Is it therefore any wonder that Mr. Romney is now one the bandwagon? That fact should be all the proof you need to put him in the same box as Juan McLame. It sure is for me. Mr. Romney is now ineligible for my vote for ANY office at ANY time.
As for Mr. Cain, I still hope to win the nomination, and eventually the White House, but I can not and will not stand idly by and watch him be victimized by aggressive liberals. Should Mr. Cain win the White House, I will back him against all liberal assaults, including those such as these. In fact, I am defending him now.
My advice to Herman Cain is to stay the course. This foolishness is NOT a reason to step out of the race. Suggesting a new tax (such as a 9% VAT or Sales Tax) is, but that’s a different post. Conservatives will have to stand behind Mr. Cain in this instance. He is obviously enough of one of us to have to face stupid liberal bull$h!t like this.
It is not only a test of, but also a testament to, his fitness for office. I have been standing up to liberals at the RWRepublic for six and a half years now. I expect that Mr. Cain will stand firm and win out (at least against the liberals in the Republican and Democrat Parties) as I have.
For now, I say GO HERMAN.

This remains to be seen. It is entirely possible that the Left is coming after Cain largely because he is black and has neither needed nor wanted to use “the system” to achieve his success. The fact that a black man could or would even think of succeeding on his own flies in the face of their entire philosophy, as wrong as it is.

My take on this racist thing not racist thing whatever it might be.
My wife is Jamaican, my children were born and are being raised in Jamaica. My oldest daughter, who is turning 18 on the 10th, when she was 7 years old, said to me that she was half half. Had to throw the cute comment in here.
This has become a racial situation. Not by people on the right and not by those on the left that are thinking this through. The media has brought it up. Why not attack Cain on his policies?
The easiest, as I see it, is to attack him personnally in a way that will last. Something that will stick in the minds of voters, sexual harrasement or sexual assult.
My situation, I live as a minority. I can see some of the problems.
Cain can be easily put on the spot, and he is right now. No matter what, Cain has to be saying to himself, what the hell is going on here?
More likely the Romney campaign, or another Republican fearing that Cain may win.

For the record, I wasn’ t saying that Cain is being attacked because he’s black. I was just pointing out the double standards that exist, particularly when it comes to the left and Obama. Had BHO been accused of the same indiscretions by a white woman, the MSM and the rest of the left would have played the race card and the accusers would have been labeled as bigots… and he STILL would have won the election because the story would have been dropped.
Let’s see:

Liberals EXPECT “people of color” to conform to their vision of dependence on government. Oblahma is the perfect example of what they want – the man never had a real job in his life. The last thing the liberals in the DR party want is for a man with Cain’s heritage to make it on his own and successfully aspire to the office of POTUS.
So on this point, Rush is right. The left is afraid of Cain because he stands for the antithesis of their vision of a government-dependent America. They also know that HIS vision will be more successful, and should he take office, it will pretty much guarantee that they will lose the automatic votes they have been getting from those they have convinced that they need government for their sustenance.
This is being done to keep Cain out of the White House by liberal Republicans and Democrats alike. Their motivation is suspect, and since none of the allegations appear to have any serious merit, you may then have to look at race. The scenario suggested by Rush is not only plausible, but likely, and has been used before (Clarence Thomas).
For my part, I don’t care whether race is involved. If Herman Cain were being murdered, it wouldn’t matter at all why. He wouldn’t be any less dead. This is precisely the reason it is so hard to get good people to run for office. Consequently, we are stuck with crooks like Romney and Obama.

I am not sure we will ever know. We should give the other GOP candidates the benefit of the doubt, unless the is evidence otherwise. I would not like to see a split in our efforts over something that is unproven.

Cain is a conservative, and therefore an enemy, so they attack him.
They’d do the same if it was Perry, Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, or even Bachmann. Although convincing people that Bachmann tried to force another woman’s face into her crotch might be a tad bit more difficult.

IF he is telling the truth, he is a shoe in for the Republican Candidate for President.
I do have to say however that if Mr. Cain was a Democrat I can imagine how differently the conservative talking heads would be handling this.
As it is this thing needs to be made clear. If Mr. Cain lets it linger it will be major issue in the actual campaign. If he is innocent, and I have no reason to believe he is not, HE can use this for his advantage in 2012.

Lie detectors aren’t reliable. The whole test would be a circus. Cain would gain nothing. A trial yes, a lie detector no.

Sounds like my family, although we were not raised military (mrcakes was). My father never accepted his lot in life (dirt poor, little schooling, married young with 4 children), and basically pulled his entire life up by his own bootstraps. He never let us, as you say, ‘make insinuations along those lines’, from any viewpoint. We all slept in the same bed, same bedroom when I was young, and we had no indoor toilet. But we had manners, we had hope. What drives some people to harm others for something as insignificant as race is beyond me.
That’s the news from Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.
I haven’t read all the comments, but in discussing whether this was leaked by a republican or democrat, some think that it’s republican because it’s thought that the democrats would have waited closer to the general election to spring it. I can’t help but think perhaps it could be democrat-leaked, as they think doing so at this point in time will keep people from suspecting it’s their doing and it has the added benefit of making voters wonder what other republican campaign may have leaked it. We know the dems like to play dirty. It still seems awfully strange that this came out when Cain was topping most polls.

It’s no coincidence that these allegations have come out now MOM. The Cain campaign says they knew they would be coming out, they just didn’t know what they were going to allege. That’s why Cain was unable to prepare for them in advance.
I tend to agree with your asessment. I believe the Republicans, while playing down Cain’s candidacy, would not risk being attached to this mess. It’s got dirty Liberal politics written all over it.
Republicans would be branded racist, while Liberals can only be branded Liberals, because it’s what we expect of them. I’m still pulling for Cain, until I see much more concrete allegations and much more detailed information. The “victims” aren’t called on their lack of memory. Only Cain is….pitifull.
