White House Delivers Select Additional Solyndra Documents
**Written by Doug Powers
On Thursday, the subpoena deadline for all remaining Solyndra documents came and went, but shortly after the White House did agree to turn over “some” of the information. Yesterday the White House kept the “some” promise.
It wasn’t really a Friday document dump, but rather an end of the week folder toss and a bit of nose-thumbing:
The White House on Friday rejected House Republicans’ subpoena for all internal communications related to the $535 million Solyndra loan guarantee, instead providing 135 pages of documents that administration officials say meet the “legitimate oversight interests” of congressional investigators.
In a letter to top Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee Friday, White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler said the documents “do not contain evidence of favoritism to political supporters or any wrongdoing by the White House in connection with the Solyndra loan guarantee.”
Usually the people doing the investigating are the ones who determine the “legitimate oversight interests” are, but inside the Beltway, the investigatees are sometimes allowed to deputize themselves. It’s a unique justice honor-system to which you and I will never be privy.
You’d think the most transparent administration in history would require a little less arm twisting in order to lure out the limpidity. Maybe there are simply some embarrassing “try thinking about baseball” email suggestions to calm an overly excited VP’s office that the administration doesn’t want made public.

I’m sure she’s right. I doubt that the handful of documents they turned over contain anything worthwhile at all. Now as to the other 395000 documents that they’re withholding due to “executive privilege”…..
Oh good this means in my next quarterly tax audit with the IRS I get to choose which stuff to show them and point out the WH as the reason.
The important documents will show up right after the 3rd gun that was at the Brain Terry scene.
You’ve got that right. So all this accomplishes is wasting the investigators time pouring over mostly what will probably be useless documents while allowing the WH appear to be cooperative. How nice.
I hope the next r president is taking notes on how bho and team are dealing with snubbing the congress and courts! And I don’t want to hear anyone say, r’s can’t do that. We DEMAND answers NOW!

Are you a well known leftist billionaire?
Are you a staunch and loyal democrat?
Do you regularly contribute as much money as you are legally able, if not more, to high profile dem candidates and causes and are publicly known to do so?
If your answer to any or all of the above is “NO”, good luck with getting away with your proposal. LOL!
Pols of all stripes say whatever they think will get them elected. They are the most full of s**t people in the universe. 95% of what a pol says is said to pander. The other 5% is the verbal equivalent of mystery meat.
It wouldn’t surprise me if their next ploy was to bury the investigators in thousands of pages of irrelevant material. It wouldn’t be the first time for that, either.
Sometimes honest politicians shows up….regrettably, that honest politician usually makes little or no headway against the establishment, and either doesn’t get re-elected, or just gives in and goes along with the entrenched establishment to stay in office.
The longer most stay in office, the less honesty appears to be part of their ideology.
It shouldn’t surprise you at all. The more irrelevant material supplied, the less likely anything relevant is uncovered and/or pursued in a reasonable time. A standard leftist operating procedure.
I’ll bet they delivered nothing incriminating . . . surprise, surprise. This is an incredibly stupid game being played out with congress.
Here we go again.

The only real surprise is that the LA Times is actually reporting on this.
Does anyone really think the WH is going to turn over evidence for IMPEACHMENT??? The bad news is that we are stuck with the Jackass-In-Chief until Jan. 2013!?! So America, gird yourselves, you will probably never ever witness more JACKASS PARTY lies and distortions as you will in the next year. Be sure YOU know the difference.
So they didn’t have time to simply hand over the documents but they had time to inspect them first to see which ones they were willing to release?????
Run that by me again?????
Incredibly stupid or Kabuki theater for the masses among knowing participants.
Either or both.
You decide.
JACKASS PARTY or DUMBO PARTY.
Be sure you know the difference.
This just a routine awarding government contract that has no possible important national security implications. There is absolutely no defensible reason for not releasing all of the documents. It’s like catching a murderer standing over a dead body and allowing him to refuse to hand over the gun and then letting him go because they never found the murder weapon to link to the murderer.

Is that what happened to those voted in on 11/2010 ?
That’s what happened to the ones we voted in in 1994, eventually. They came in trying to do all sorts of things, got a few things passed, and then sort of fell into the Washington groove of spending other people’s money to buy votes.

Hey, it takes time to reformat hard drives and erase files and to find a heavy duty shredder.
That helps us to narrow down the search for the documents you have requested.
At least we are not using the previous method of redacting documents … a scalpel to actually cut out the “sensitive” wording.
Wanna bet that there will be no incriminating docs released ?
I don’t blame the politicians. I blame the ignorant, dumbass, irresponsible, short sighted, selfish, grasping voters.
Look what they just did to Kasich in Ohio. Pretty much the same thing they did to Schwarzeneggar right after they put him in office.
“Sure, we want you to be Governor, since that would be cool, but we don’t want to even try to do what you are putting all of your political capital on the line saying we need to do.”
As I have said before: If the dumbass American Voter reelects Obama, they will get exactly what they richly deserve.
There are no excuses.
So they are only releasing only what they’ve already vetted. The big surprise in that is that they feel enough pressure to do the vetting so they can release something.
Hum…yes, the WHite House ha released thousands of pages. But are they the right pages?
Oh, sure, they’re the right pages–you know, the ones with no incriminating evidence of anything…
How long before the Obungle people decide to publish the equivalent of Nixon’s White House tape transcripts? At least, they will be able to make a bit more money. ‘Never waste a good crisis.’
Next time I’m audited, I’m going to only turn over a dozen or so pages that don’t show I’ve done anything wrong. When the auditor laughs at me, I’ll just tell him I’m doing what his boss, the President, has taught me to do by his example.
