Trump cancels his own debate; whither Eason Jordan?

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 13, 2011 02:21 PM

There is a Santa Claus.

Donald Trump is bagging on his own debate on December 27th in Des Moines, Iowa.

What will Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich (who called anyone not participating a coward) do now?

More pointedly, what will dictator-appeaser, troop-smearer and executive producer Eason Jordan do now?

Maybe Newsmax will hire him. They’ve done such a great job trying to rehabilitate the CNN left-winger’s image already.

Or maybe Trump 2012 spokesman?

Leave your own suggestions for new gigs for Eason Jordan.

Side note: If Eason Jordan moderates the debate, maybe Ron Paul will participate after all…

The Hill: Trump pulls out.

More:

Donald Trump says he’s withdrawing as moderator of a GOP presidential debate in Iowa.

The Dec. 27 debate in Iowa has been in jeopardy since Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are the only candidates willing to take the stage with the real estate developer – reality TV star.

The rest of the GOP field bowed out, with Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman making clear they believe the debate would be a spectacle with Trump as moderator.

“I believe this would not only have been the most watched debate, but also the most substantive and interesting debate,” Trump said in a statement.

Trump said he’s still not ruling out the possibility of running for president as an independent. He said he’s stepping aside as moderator of the debate sponsored by Newsmax, a conservative magazine and website, to avoid any conflict of interest.

His biography pre-college is non existent. His work record pre-CNN is also non-existent. Just like Obama.

“Jordan serves on the Advisory Board of the International News Safety Institute and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Committee to Protect Journalists, the Iraqi-American Chamber of Commerce, and the ONE Campaign.” He’s on the Iraqi-American Chamber of Commerce? He’s on the Council of Foreign Relations? I guess having the worst record will get you honors for those committees.

The guy admitted to voluntarily hiding information about Saddam Hussein’s torture and murders. He could have sneaked out video and info pretending it to be anonymous internal Iraqi dissidents, but chose to do nothing. That would have kept his beloved Saddam from kicking out his CNN reporters. He smeared US soldiers as targeting reporters in Iraq, yet he is honored at NewsMax.

Sure, why not team up… Trump-NewsMax-Jordan = The Bermuda Triangle debate. Do not enter or your candidate shall disappear too.

He oughta give Docu Dan Rather a call over at HDNet – Mark Cuban’s cable snooze fest. Rather fits right in with Girls Gone Wild and other tasteless drivel – but it’s a job. I think he’s rated 3,245th on cable – right behind Bavarian Bowling.

You may remember Cuban for producing DePalma’s “Redacted” – a pathetic twaddle about rogue Marines raping and murdering poor innocent Iraquis. Got rave reviews in France. Played 3 days here and was dropped. De Palma kinda forgot this was a 1 in millions event and played it like it was business as usual for Marines. Also left out the perpetrators were tried, convicted and sentenced to 110 years. Kinda like a Dan Rather investigation.

Phil’s hype notwithstanding, there is no scenario by which helmet hair would get the nomination.

The Donnie is as patriotic as his bottom line. The only reason he would run would be to get as many cameras pointed at him as possible for as long as possible.

As our beloved hostess pointed out 4 years ago, and I only recently put together with Paul’s claim of the Bush administration reacting with “glee” to 9/11 attacks. Ron Paul is one “death ray” comment away from solidly confirming himself a 9/11 truther.
