Pelosi Spends the Holidays Sacrificing on Behalf of Her Beloved 99%

Those who engage in tireless efforts to improve the lives of the working class and speak out in support of the 99 percent never really get a vacation. Nancy Pelosi is one example. Pelosi is once again working semi-undercover at a high-priced Hawaiian resort in order to observe the plight of the 99 percent from the top-down:
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, who served as Speaker of the House and is now head of the House minority, is once again spending her Christmas at the exotic Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu in Kona on the island of Hawaii.
Pelosi spent the last two Christmas holidays in Kona at the same hotel in an elaborate suite that rents for $10,000 a night.

Pelosi has been escorted by local police during her last two holiday visits to Hawaii Island at a cost of $34,000 to local taxpayers.
In order to emerge victorious from any conflict, it’s wise to closely study the ways of one’s opponent. Not unlike the way she’s waged a battle against the greed of Wall Street by cleverly pretending to take part in the process, Pelosi is occupying the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. Yes, there is beautiful scenery, and of course the Pearl Harbor Memorial….
But I feel that Hawaii is by far the least “American” of any state. I find it repulsive that odumbo always chooses Hawaii for Christmas. Has this un-American President ever even been to Camp David? What history is there!

Do you know how big a role the two of them played in “vouching” (without documentary proof) for Obama?
Pelosi swore, under oath, that Obama is “legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution” (i.e., that he is a was a natural born citizen, over the age of 35, and 14 years resident in the United Staes).
Note that Hawaii didn’t tell Pelosi that Obama was a natural born citizen… it was the other way around… Pelosi told Hawaii.
Abercrombie sponsored House Resolution 593 that claimed, without documentary proof, that “Obama was born in Hawaii”. Note that Hawaii didn’t tell members of the House of Representatives that Obama was born in Hawaii… it was the other way around… the House of Representatives told Hawaii that Obama was born in Hawaii.
And then, mere hours later, Dr. Fukino released her second news release… the one that claimed “Obama was born in Hawaii” and is a “natural born citizen”… AFTER Pelosi, Abercrombie, and the U.S. House told them so.
You may think this whole thing is crazy, but consider this serious question:
Which Government Organization Was The First To Say, “Obama was born in Hawaii”?
Do you think the answer is, “The Hawaii State Department of Health”?
Sorry, that answer is not a winner.
The correct answer is the U.S. House of Representatives.
Could H. RES. 593 be used as “prima facie” evidence by the State of Hawaii to issue Dr. Fukino’s second News Release and finally make the claim “Obama was born in Hawaii”?

Love the Islands. The summer after graduation from H.S. my High- School Sweetheart and I went with a group from Cal Poly Pomona (We were teens, of course). We back-packed around the island of Maui. We slepted in the cow pastures near 7 Pools,and of course, swam in the lower level pools; found other pools of water to swim in around the island of Maui. We were mostly on foot and we did shop at Hasegawas’s general store. This was way back when, they had tv’s, bread, brew ($$$$$)etc. stacked to the cealing. I swung from the vines at Waianapanapa state park. One entire life’s adventure at once. My ex and I paid for the entire trip ourselves by collecting newspapers and the part-time jobs we had. $425.00 total cost and 10 days in paradise!!! What more could an 18yr. old ask for?

Despite her promise of “no more deficit spending”, she spent more than any other Speaker in history, and increased the National Debt 61.4% (from $8.671 Trillion to $13.998 Trillion, an increase of over $5.3 Trillion) in just 4 years as Speaker of the House.
Annual deficits under Speaker Pelosi were about THIRTEEN TIMES BIGGER than they were under Speaker Gingrich.

HI HANGFIRE–#46. My Wife and I visited Hawaii for the first time last July. My daughter and her husband came also. We toured the Pacific Submarine Museum, the Bowfin sub, saw the movie on the Day of Infamy attack, and rode the tourist boat to view the Arizona Memorial.

As an old guy whose Dad flew over this area during WW2 I knew a lot about the history there. My daughter and her hubby were impressed by the sub, and sobered by the realization that the Arizona is still the graveyard for the brave men killed there.

My Dad told me long ago how chilling it was to see the remains of the Arizona and the other sunken ships at Pearl Harbor as his Navy Cargo Plane flew over the area and landed nearby. And then unloaded, reloaded, refueled, and took off for the active combat islands. He always wondered if they would make it back.

Mark Levin had a guest host last week that spent some time introducing the rest of the nation to the crony capitalism and permanent political class network in San Francisco. I forgot which day the guest host from San Francisco was on and which hour, but it was very revealing.
Nancy made it possible for her insiders to have access to the Presidio for redevelopment after that base was decommissioned. That base is right at the San Francisco side of the golden gate bridge with majestic views of the bay and the bridge. Prime, prime real estate.
Her son is on the government environmental board which must approve ALL development and redevelopment in the region.
Her nephew has a cushy job with the Lennar corporation who gets the redevelopment contracts (and who have to go in front of that environmental board, cozy to have to ask your cousin for permission to build). The Lennar corporation got the contracts to redevelop Treasure Island, in the San Francisco Bay after the Navy quit using that as a processing base. The Lennar Corporation also got the redevelopment contract for the naval shipyard in San Francisco.
And the cherry on the crony cupcake is that they are all somehow related to Gaven Newsome, who was Mayor in San Francisco at the time all of these contracts were being awarded. Now he is Lt. Governor.
So Nancy Pelosi has been able to enrich all of her relatives with her inside connections for these federal properties as they come on the market once they are decommissioned by the department of defense.
And this doesn’t even cover her inside trading with the stock market, which is LEGAL for Congress peeps. The rest of us would go to jail if we traded stocks based on information not available to the public at the time of the stock trade.
By the way, 7 nights at this Hawaii resort with the taxes for the room, meals, spa treatments, etc., total 50% of her annual salary as a congress peep.
Let that 1% live in their lap of luxury.!!! Hypocrites all of them. And the stoooopid people following this occupy nonsense about the 99% who think the permanent political class gives a rip about them are just laughable.

believe me, Lumberman; I’ve stayed at fancy places through mrcakes’ business & I’ve looked into travelling to ‘fancy places’ for special occasions (I call them the James Bond locations), and you don’t get much more than a regular nice place, but you do get the chance to lord it over others & tell everyone that you stayed there.

I just checked out the hotel online. Very nice place! I’ve stayed on that side of the island before (Fairmont Orchid) Beautiful place!
It was a once in a lifetime vacation, whole family, two ocean view rooms, snorkeling with turtles, fishing, whales, golf, great food, helicopter volcano tour, etc…. Total for 7 days – $6500.
I’m not sure what more we could have had….$10k per night?!? I don’t understand. But I guess if you are used to spending other people’s money you have no comprehension.
We like to stay at the Kona Islander Inn.
Our honeymoon was there 32 years ago. It’s affordable by Hawaii standards.
I highly recommend KMC (Kilauea Military Camp) at the Volcanoes National Park for any military or retirees, providing you don’t have anyone with asthma, COPD, etc. in your party.

As a veteran of the high-end Hawaiian hotel game, I think Spacey is close to the truth, but depending, you can get a room that’s bigger than your house (not her house, your house) with a million dollars worth of furnishings. Just like home for her. The room rates tend to be discounted but she’s a Dem, she’s probably paying more than the rate.
Let me translate for those of you who don’t speak Hawaiian. “Affordable by Hawaii standards” means – bring your own roach motel.

I had a tour on the Bowfin. Pretty cool. What was the story, they spent a month in the Sea of Japan behind enemy lines. To get there they had to traverse a heavily mined area using new mine sonar technology and at one point could hear a mine cable scraping across the hull. They spent a lot of hours underwater to do that which required good batteries and a lot of crew togetherness in miserably hot conditions and complete silence.
Very tight spaces in that sub. I applaud the men who were able to do that for their country.
