White House Says Obama Executive Actions Will Come in Three Sizes: Small, Medium and Large

The White House is going overboard when there are so many executive actions that they feel the need to categorize them by size like the menu options at a fast food restaurant:
(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama is ready to take “small, medium and large” actions without the consent of Congress, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said.
Carney on Tuesday explained further Obama’s “We Can’t Wait” strategy of addressing problems without Congress. This would be done through executive orders and other actions Carney said.

“He’s going to take the actions that he can take using his executive authority to help the cause here, to help Americans deal with this challenging economy. And they can be small, medium or large actions and they don’t have to be just executive authority actions,” Carney continued. “They can be things we can do working with the private sector. So he’ll pursue all tracks.”
What size are today’s technically non-recess recess appointments considered?
This administration’s appetite causes it to opt for only one portion, and that’s “supersize.”

I am surprised that he did not couch in terms that his worshipers would better understand. Something more like Tall, Grande, and Venti.
On a serious note, what is even more sad than this is the lack of any real action on the part of the GOP. I am guessing they are figuring they will let him get away with it, so they can do it when they are in power.

Why doesn’t O just stop pretending he’s President and call himself the DICTATOR he is.
Much of what our pResident has been doing can probably be considered illegal and CONgress has refused to do much beyond whining, issuing sternly worded responses orally and in print, holding nearly worthless and drawn out investigations, and basically do nothing tangible.
Will CONgress’s actions be any different in this case.

The government is SUPPOSED to be slow and deliberative. The founders created a government that would always be split amongst rivals in order to ensure that the only things that got approved were the things that everyone agreed upon. It’s not supposed to be a “winner takes all” dictatorship where individuals, such as the president, could act unilaterally.
Additionally, the President is the lesser of the two elected branches. The House and Senate are the representatives of the people, and were given a position higher than the President, as evidenced by the fact that all bills must originate in the legislative branch, and if the President vetoes one, the legislative branch can still override the veto, giving them the ultimate trump card.
Now, now, President for Life has a much softer, caring and more positive sound and look. And no dictator actually calls himself dictator I believe…only his detractors would dare call him such, and hope to live.

1. Rescind the executive order limiting oil and gas drilling, and exploration.
2. Drop the NLRB challenge to the Boeing plant in South Carolina.
3. Approve the Keystone Pipeline from Canada.
4. Rescind the executive order requiring union labor for all federal construction projects.

All of this reminds me of a scene from Shindler’s List and I wonder if it applies to us today. In the movie, some Jewish men are discussing their situation of being held captive in a slum the Germans have set up for them…The discussion goes to the point that they do not think it’ll get much worse than what it is, that it’s best just to wait it out – it’ll all be over soon…like sheep to the slaughter – days later they’re rounded up and shipped off to the gas chambers.
That one actually has been dropped, but it was due to Boeing promising to keep the 737 line in Everett, WA in exchange for the union not complaining about the 787 being built in SC.

Most, while intelligent enough, are ignorant and uncaring of the political realities that affect their lives. They vote on emotion, just as did the crowd that was made to call for the lives of the conspirators.
It is likely, at this point, that any attempt to reverse this power grab by Obama will be met with strong popular opposition, resulting in the political deaths of anyone in Congress courageous enough to challenge him. Remember, like Caesar, he’s not alone.

Congress has made it clear that they have no interest in working with him, on anything in which he may look good; regardless of whether it’s good for the country. Obama has no choice but to work around and in spite of Congress. Any constitutional overreaches, can be hashed out in the courts. Without an enforcement mechanism, absent impeachment, what are they going to do? Issue contempt citations against the administration officials? How are those going to be enforced? I for one would like to see little Barry be tossed into prison for impersonating the presidency. Realistically, that is not going to happen.

In the coming New Year, 2012, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address will occur on the same day – Feb 2nd 2012.

When you get down into the details and away from the headlines and generalities, there is not much of anything the Republicans can work on with this imposter for a president. The “bureau” which this recess appointment will now head is a prime example of the ugly details embedded in the legislation creating it. Ditto for Obamacare and just about anything else the Dims passed from 2007-2010. The Dims have to speak in generalities because the details would sink them.
