Al Gore: If Global Warming isn’t a Campaign Issue, Civilization is at Risk

For the Goracle, watching a presidential campaign that isn’t focusing on his cash cow is too much for him to bear.

From the Daily Caller:

Though in recent years the climate change issue has disappeared from the forefront (and former Vice President Al Gore has found himself criticizing Democratic President Barack Obama for not being more aggressive on the issue), on Tuesday night’s coverage of the New Hampshire primary on Current TV, Gore insisted it should be part of the 2012 campaign.

“It should be in the presidential campaign,” Gore said. “And it is not at present. Not a single question was asked about climate in any of the numerous, multitudinous debates that these candidates have had. And yet in the year 2011, the United States of America had more than 12 climate-related disasters that cost over a billion dollars. The state of Texas has had the worst drought in its history. It is climate-related. Out of 254 counties, 252 are on fire. 2010 was the hottest year ever recorded. We have record melting of the volume of ice in the Arctic Ocean, dramatically powerful storms, in Pakistan, Australia, the Northeast. Record flooding in the Mississippi and the Missouri Rivers, and the list goes on. And it’s consistent with what the scientific community has been warning us.”

Gore added that the future of civilization was “at risk” if the issue continues to be neglected.

I’ll bet those two counties in the state that aren’t on fire are loaded with climate change deniers.

Gore wants the world to let him lead the charge to change the planet’s climate and weather patterns but he can’t even control Keith Olbermann for cryin’ out loud…

Who does PMSNBC pick as the spokesperson for the Republican Party? Ms ME generation. But wait, if she were smart enough to understand how stupid she is, then she wouldn’t be so stupid…but she’s dumb as a post even if she knows it, right? Oh never mind.

That’s why they changed it to “climate change” silly! Global Warming turned out to be, well, untrue. And Global Cooling is probably in the same category. Climate Change covers their butts no matter what happens. See, they are masters of obfuscation. In other words, dirty lying SOB’s.

The worst drought of record was the one in 30′s that affected WAY MORE area than just TX.

Here’s the proof that there’s no correlation between global warming and drought.

If anything there is a slight ANTI-correlation – warmer air can in fact hold more moisture than cold air.

    Gore is a liar.

The Galveston hurricane of 1900 was the second worst ever seen in the US.

The population was somewhere around 10,000 out of a total population of about 40,000. The population of Galveston today is almost 300,000. To just match the death rate of 1900, a truly equivalent hurricane disaster would kill 75,000.

The worst hurricane damage was Miami 1926; in today’s dollars it would be over $150 billion from one storm.

The only thing at risk here is Al Gore, Jr.’s wallet holdings.

Listen, I have an environmental science degree and the same people who said we’d be floating iceboxes in the 1970s are the same crowd today saying we’re all gonna roast in an unfortested wasteland if we don’t give all our energy freedom to government and crony capitalism.

No, I think you’re right that we should call it what it is:

    Crony Fascism.

I think Al Gore is wasting our precious environmentally-aware human resources on the wrong issue.

The evidence of the danger of tectonic plate slippage (or as George Castanza might say, shrinkage???) is MUCH more significant. Why can’t Al concentrate on the Pacific Ocean’s NOTORIOUS Ring of Fire, for instance? Or maybe the super volcano underneath Yellowstone I saw on Nature last week??

I got excited when I saw the story about Yellowstone awhile back.

We could drill down into Yellowstone multiple times, and use the heat to make schteam to power turbines to provide electric power, while at the same time relieving the pressure in a safe, controlled way. Surely environmentalist nutbars (but I repeat myself) would be in favor of this?

    Green is the new Stupid.

“…numerous, multitudinous…” isn’t that like “… many, many …” but just a bit more pretentious, supercilious and polysyllabic. Or to be direct to the point, “silly”. There really haven’t been so many debates so as to get so exorcised about them. If the “Gorp” wants to lead he should do it by good example. Sit down and SHUT-UP. Fat chance of that ever happening.
