Obama and Jan Brewer Have Words on Airport Tarmac; Update: Brewer Book Sales Skyrocket

President Obama went to Arizona Wednesday afternoon, and according to Governor Jan Brewer who met him on the airport tarmac, the Book-Critic-in-Chief took her to task for something she recently published:
He stepped off Air Force One at 3:28 pm and was greeted by Gov. Jan Brewer. She handed him a handwritten letter in an envelope and they spoke intensely for a few minutes. At one point, she pointed her finger at him.
Afterwards, (I) spoke with the governor.
“He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast,” Brewer said. “I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president. The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. So.”

It was clear from the moment they greeted one another that this would not be a run-of-the-mill encounter between the president and a local official. At one point, she was pointing her finger at him and at another, they were talking at the same time, seemingly over each other.He appeared to walk away from her while they were still talking, and she confirmed that by saying she didn’t finish her sentence.
When Brewer spoke with your pooler, the AP and an NBC producer for several minutes afterwards, she appeared a bit flustered and taken aback by the conversation. Asked if she was, that’s when Brewer said, “I’ll regroup.”
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal had a similar run-in during the BP Gulf oil spill.
Obama is expected to even both scores in his next book, “Sweat the Petty Stuff.”

BenGay: Perhaps you would understand had you an inkling of things called unit cohesion, good order and discipline.

Jan Brewer earns more respect from me every time she runs into this president of an empty suit. I did’nt even know about her book until now. It’s first on my list to order.

Further, I’d like to notify all those jihadies out there that American women are not whimps and can’t be treated like your tent wearing brood mares.

Obama only dropped into AZ to poke his finger in our eye anyway. His administration has gone after us for our immigration policies (which hopefully the SCOTUS will uphold), our energy policies (recently threatening our local nuclear energy plant with new regulations to thwart a “possible” future reactor leakage, a concern that just materialized) and our Maricopa County Sheriff’s investigation into his birth. Now he’s enjoyed an opportunity to snub our Governor. Iceing on the cake for this man.
As far as I know, the only thing he did not do here, as he did in Congress with his SOTU speech, was to further use our Gabby Gifford as a political tool.
What a piece of work he is! He knows full well his appearance in AZ isn’t going to make any difference about how AZ goes in the General election.

They called them “FEMA resettlement camps.” In 2009, I heard on the Steve Marzlberg Show what I thought was a load of BS about the Obama Administration advertising for “security guards” for FEMA. They provided a website. Curious, I checked it out. Lo and behold, it was true! I don’t remember the particulars, but it was in line with everything I had heard.
What apparently you don’t get ,Ota, is that millions of people in the South and West, outside of the big cities, are not going to take Obowtome’s power grab (if he’s re-elected) sitting down. Maybe the sheeple out East will, but not here. People like OKL, Flyoverman, rocketman , RedDog and many others will resist. They’re not paranoid, they’re PATRIOTS. They’re hunters, fishermen and can live off the land, unlike the city dwellers, the moochers and parasites whose numbers have grown exponentially under Obowtome.

1-Past is prologue. Re-education camps have existed and exist today in China and North Korea. Therefore, is safe to assume they’ll continue to exist in the future.
2-2+2=4. When you have and administration that says or implies that returning Iraq veterans, pro-lifers, gun owners and “right-wing extremists” are a bigger threat to the country than jihadists,AND this so called “resettlement camps” are being openly discussed,AND this administration is hell-bent on cotrolling more and more of our daily lifes(for own good, of course), reasonable people can’t be blamed for feeling nervous about an overreaching, potentially tyrannical federal government.

What has received my attention are these two things. What I find even more disturbing is there has been no outcry from the press or frankly people like Ota Benga.
That disturbs me very much, becasue if a Republican ever approved these things the Left would go ballistic. Frankly, they should on both of these. Any sane American should. It is their SILENCE which is disturbing.
The first concern is the proposal to grant the military the power to arrest. If one can arrest, one can detain. That means detention in military facilities. Utterly frightening and unconstitutional.
The second is this speech in July 2008 by Barack Obama,
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.“ (emphasis added)
The most recent historical manifestation of a para military force that fits this description is the Waffen SS. The Left supports this kind of an organization in a free society?
I submit, yet again, the Democrats of 20 years ago are extinct. They have been pushed aside and replaced by Marxists, because not even a Progressive would ever propose either of these.

Also, Ota, I’d recommend against a progressive book. I see them a lot in the reduced section and one was even on the dollar rack on Barnes and Noble where I used to to live. You can’t give those suckers away. On the other hand, conservative books dominate the best-seller shelves.

One month? Try ONE WEEK!! If you look at any recent natural disasters, and you know how bad our food storage systems are, you should know that without external supplies, all food, water, medicines and fuel will run out in a week or less in all major cities in case of a major catasthophe. Then, it’d be chaos. Law of the jungle. The patina of civilization falls off real fast when lots of people are hungry and thirsty.
