Global Warmists Seek to Flush Out ‘Denier’ Meteorologists

The ultimate goal is to clone Al Gore to serve as a weatherman at every local television station so he can offer the patented Hypocrite-Cast® nightly, but that can’t happen if there are still global warming deniers allowed on the air:

The Forecast the Facts campaign — led by 350.org, the League of Conservation Voters and the Citizen Engagement Lab — is pushing for more of a focus on global warming in weather forecasts, and is highlighting the many meteorologists who do not share their beliefs.

“Our goal is nothing short of changing how the entire profession of meteorology tackles the issue of climate change,” the group explains on their website. “We’ll empower everyday people to make sure meteorologists understand that their viewers are counting on them to get this story right, and that those who continue to shirk their professional responsibility will be held accountable.”

According to the Washington Post, the reason for the campaign can be found in a 2010 George Mason University surveys, which found that 63% of television weathermen think that global warming is a product of natural causes, while 31% believe it is from human activity.

So far, the campaign has identified 55 “deniers” in the meteorologist community and are looking for more. They define “deniers” as “anyone who expressly refutes the overwhelming scientific consensus about climate change: that it is real, largely caused by humans, and already having profound impacts on our world.”

This seems incredibly counter-productive, because the more successful they are in adding names to the ever-growing meteorologist denier list, the faster the notion of “scientific consensus” goes out the window.

I think a lot more people could understand the mentality and tactics behind the Climate Change Hoax if they read Fallen Angels. I know I keep pushing it, but so much of what’s going on is so familiar from the book. And the book was written 20+ years ago, iirc.

Oh! oh oh! Today as I was being shown around a Wal-mart, I was shown where they deal with paper and plastic waste. But not styrofoam. Someone actually said, “you can’t recycle styrofoam”. I corrected them, and someone else conceded that it was just the regulations that prevented them from recycling the styrofoam…

“In the old days,” Sherrine whispered in Alex’s ear, “there would have been plastic or styrofoam cups.”

“Nonbiodegradable plastic or styrofoam cups,” said Degler, appearing out of nowhere.

“Bullsh*,” said Sherrine. “Plastics are recyclable. Shred it and melt it and make more. The fact that no one bothered gave plastic a bad rep.”

“Well, not quite,” Degler said, fingering his beard and grinning. “There are EPA rules that forbid the recycling of certain plastics. The styrofoam used by fast-food chains was chemically recyclable; but the EPA forbade it because”-—he gave an exaggerated shudder-—”because it had once touched food.”

“Yeah, and they replaced the stuff with coated paper, that was also nonbiodegradable and nonrecyclable. So the rules had zero impact on the environment and the landfills . . . And why are you laughing, Tom?”

“What if it was on purpose?”

“Exactly,” said Degler. “So why do so many environmental regulations wind up, harming the environment? I say, what if it’s on purpose?”

“Can’t be,” said someone in the crowd. “What purpose?”

    “Yeah, who would gain?”

    “The Babbage Society? ”

“No, the Greens. The Greens would gain job security,” said someone else.

“Job security how? They’re pledged to clean things up.”

“No they aren’t,” said Tom Degler with a grin. “They’re pledged to advocate rules whose apparent purpose is to make someone else clean things up.”

“That’s right. There’s a difference. The rules only require actions, not results.”

    Really. Read the freaking book…

I don’t need to read any books or listen to anyone else to know that it hasn’t gotten any warmer in my area. In the past 6 years winters and summers have both been colder than normal in my part of Alaska. Anyone who tells you the ice is all melting is full of crap. Don’t hold your breath waiting for the NW Passage to open up to shipping. Be thankful you are not on the Seward Peninsula (AK), right now. It has actually warmed up from earlier. Now it’s a balmy -31F with a 16 mph wind. Wind chill -59 up from -65 earlier. Record cold all over the state last week.

Ha. That describes every law and regulation passed by Dems.

It’s only the rabid Gorebulls that are keeping the AGW/climate change mantra going.

Since the greenshirt lobby have been shown up for the liars & greedy ba*****s they are, since the University of East Anglia e-mails were leaked, that so-called ‘scientists’ like Phil Jones were lying and altering data (allegedly) they’ve quietly dropped global warming/climate change, the new buzzwords are ‘clean energy, renewables & energy sustainability.’

    Look out for:

Sustainable/sustainability, these words will slowly but surely be filling the left wing MSM and global warming/climate changed quietly dropped.

The UN & the greenshirts knew the AGW scam would fall down in time, that the expense of Gorebulls money making scam would wake the plebs up, but agenda 21 goes onto the next stage for the distribution of wealth from the west to to 3rd world nations and the rich and powerful, this is where sustainable energy and sustainability comes in, they believe/well hope, that people will not question clean energy, sustainability etc.

It’s there for all to see in agenda 21.
