    The non-profit corporate organization scheme is an accounting convention that allows any profits to be earmarked for disbursment to charities etc. The PGA TOUR, for example, is classified as a non-profit. It does not mean they are not profitable just that there are no retained earnings per se for shareholders or owners to divvy up.

    Why not? I don’t really care about a $4 billion dollar slush fund for progressives anymore, because it’s like leaving a story up for days about how blue the sky is at noon. It’s a story worth revealing, but… FOUR UNITED STATES SERVICEMEN HAVE BEEN MURDERED. And Obama apologized. Twice.

    Again, I’m loathe to criticize our military, but General Allen can suck my rectum dry. I want his resignation *immediately*. I want an investigation into his and the other generals’ conduct of the Afghan post-war nation-building exercise. Because if this is typical of how he deals with our enemies, it’s no wonder we’re fighting an endless battle over there.

    It is far past time to cut our losses in Afghanistan and other Muslim countries. Probably more than half the inhabitants are perfectly happy with the way things are run there. Sharia law, few / no rights for women, continuous agitation for war against the West and all non Muslims. The religious victory or death way of life. No more U.S. foreign aid bucks should ever be sent again. And use something more “user friendly” than Agent Orange to kill their poppy fields and sources of income for the terrorists living there.

    When they cause problems they should be bombed / shelled / rocketed / missiled / nuked into total impotency. Submission will probably never happen in that society. Propping up corrupt “leaders” like Karsai with our money and soldiers are totally worthless actions. If the people of these regions want freedom–they can damn well fight for it and pay for it themselves. No more Nation “Building”–ever. Let them live and rot in their own hell holes–or fix the problems themselves. Like our colonists did starting in 1776.
