Just in time for Tax Day: Buffett Rule form 1040-B

It’s clear that the so-called Buffett Rule would barely make a dent in reducing the deficit, which is why the administration has altered its messaging to make the BR a “fairness” issue instead of a debt-buster.

But — what if the Buffett Rule could make a real dent in the deficit? I mean, it probably can’t, but why not try? The rich who think they’re under-taxed will happily pony up, right? If they don’t, we might as well change the name to the “Rebuff-it Rule.”

Fortunately there’s a new tax form available to those wealthy people whose way of trying to level the playing field with their secretaries is by asking for unnecessary permission to dump more money into the government incinerator. I guess that’s a quicker fix than simply giving said secretaries a pay increase.

From Zombie by way of Doug Ross, click side one of form 1040-B shown below for a more readable version and to download it. Give a copy to any rich Democrats you might know who are racked with guilt at their low tax rates and have finally decided they’re mad as hell and not going to take it anymore:
