Chris Matthews a little tired of ‘horse’s ass right-wingers’ mocking the thrill up his leg

Does Chris Matthews really expect the topic of the legendary thrill up his leg to go unaddressed in interviews? That’s like the Tina Louise getting annoyed by questions about Gilligan’s Island. Curiosity about the most notable part of your career should never come as a surprise or an irritant — if it does, avoid Q & A’s.
From ABC News:
MSNBC “Hardball” host Chris Matthews lectured a fellow television reporter when asked about his 2008 comment that a speech from then-candidate Barack Obama sent a “thrill up his leg.”
Matthews was taking part in a discussion with C-SPAN host Steve Scully, who asked, “Is the thrill still there?”
Visibly annoyed, Matthews turned to face Scully and offered a detailed defense of his comments before saying, “Perhaps I shouldn’t have said so because I’ve given a lot of jackasses the chance to talk about it.”
“I hope that you feel satisfied that you’ve used the most obvious question that is raised by every horse’s ass right-winger I ever bump into,” Matthews added.
Other Matthews implications in the clip below: 1) If you didn’t also get a thrill up your leg during Obama’s speech, you don’t love your country; 2) A guy like Tom Brokaw might have also had a quivering inseam at the time but was too disciplined a journalist to have admitted it aloud; and 3) If you’ve ever referred to Matthews as “Tingles,” your sexual orientation comes into question.
Here’s video of Tingles by way of the Washington Examiner:
Matthews should have just said “Et tu, C-Span?” Instead he had to prove that the name of “Hardball” should be slightly modified to “Hardbawl.”
